I think he must have, though, the way the Clouds were hollering and carrying on. You would have thought a preacher was pulling a confession out of them on a Sunday morning. Amen.
I cannot imagine any of you not enjoying and grinning all the way through these two Blasts, both performances of “Incomplete”, one at Rain’s 2003 birthday fan meet and the other a year later, at his 2004 birthday fan meet. OMG, his voice. I was ridiculously enthralled and giggling like a schoolgirl. “From their covers to my covers, wanna lay with me…” Good heavens, Rain!
Rain (channeling Sisqo): “Without you, girl, HUH… incomplete… ” Clouds: *ear-splitting, floor-shaking screams and flailing* At one point, during the 2004 meet, he cracked up in the middle of the song and looked like, Damn, am I whoopin’ @ss or what?? And just gave up. He ad-libbed the whole rest of the song, grinning adorably, completely undone by the Clouds figuratively dying in front of him. ROFL! LMAO!
Love this. This kind of stuff is what you call Solid Gold Rain. ♥ 😀

When Rain’s “Love Song” teaser with Han YeSeul hit in March 2010, it produced an innocently sweet yet titillating hotness, to say the least. And when we were faced with the music video in its entirety that April… well, only heaven could help us. The tenderness between Rain’s and YeSeul’s characters in their intimate moments pretty much set stuff on fire. *sigh* I think we can all agree that Rain does indeed deserve this title, yes? With age comes experience!

Rain’s 30sec Kiss Wins Him the King of Kiss Title

In South Korea, 14th June is the annual Kiss-Day. In Rain’s Love Song, his sensual kiss with Han Ye-Sul lasted 30 seconds affirming his ‘kissing’ technique. As an artist who is on the older end of the scale, at 28 he received more than half of the votes and was crowned ‘The Most Exquisite Kisser’. Bigbang’s TOP and 2PM’s Nichkhun came 2nd and 3rd respectively.
Last month, Rain’s Asia Tour successfully finished and he’s now busy filming ‘Flight: Close to the Sun’ where he plays a fighter jet pilot and has a love-line with Shin Se Kyung who plays the Maintenance Technician. This film has a similar storyline to the Japanese film ‘Good Luck’ that was released 8 years ago.
Recently Rain uploaded a photo of him and Shin Se Kyung from the set of the film. As soon as netizens saw this they praised on how great they look together and that they can’t wait for the film to be released. Rain is expected to be enlisted in Autumn and ‘Flight’ will be his final piece of work before he leaves for the military.

We’re in the middle of ADIEU!2010 with Rain, on New Year’s Eve, and the fans are showing enthusiastic participation during “With You.” Dear heavens. Just look at all of those people! The audience is massive. It’s just incredible. *pausing a moment to crack up at the rollerskating crew* Wow. How can you not have a great time performing in that get-up? LOL!
Song change. “Let’s gooooo!” Fresh Woman! With the ultra-sleek, ultra-sexy, retro-fitted Rain dance break at the end of it. Check that attitude right around minute marker 3:08. I’m too sexy for this bear skin, yo.
*gasp* Oh dear. *tries not to hyperventilate when Rain starts into Love Story*
OMG. They go RIGHT INTO THE STEAM SHOWER with his poodle hair flying every which way. No warning. No prep. No nothing. Are you trying to kill me, RAINY DAY. *zones out*

Moving on.
Well dog-gone-it, grab a quick breath because here comes “Love Song.” Ai-yai-yai. I’ve seen the Golden Abs countless times, so why, when the shirt went over the head, did I STILL go *gasp*? What the heck is up with that? *shaking my head*
Wow, what a cocky moment at minute marker 5:46. Just look at that. “Nan” is coming up and he knows he’s going to slay the fans with it. He knows it. You just want to smack him, the ham. LOL! 😛
Enter the Rainism coat, the Rainism music, the accompanying graphics on the JumboTron, and Rain’s own green laser show. Oh, to be able to see this whole thing uncut and in person. Perhaps one day… a Cloud can hope. For the rest of the episode, we’re treated to snippets of “It’s Raining”, “Bad Guy”, “Instead of Saying Goodbye”, killer confetti, jump-jumping, and—finally!—Rain’s full-on face after he watched the loving surprise tribute to him made of pictures and messages sent by Rain fans from all over the world, and put together for the concert by The Korean Cloud. Ah. His reaction to the fans (his honorific bows in all four directions) still kind of gets you right there, doesn’t it? Aww. ♥ ♥ ♥ That’s a 3-Hearter, for sure.
He still looks a bit emotional (not to mention good and tired) when we go backstage with him after the final bow.
I enjoyed this episode. So much so that I’m about to watch it again for good measure. Until next week, fans!

From what we can tell (because of no details where it was posted), it appears that reporters from KBS’s Entertainment Weekly (연예가전계/YunYeGaJunGye) were in Moscow for the recent Transformers 3: Dark Side of the Moon movie premiere, and had a few words with director Michael Bay and actor/all around hottie Tyrese Gibson.

Well, Mexican sisters, you did it! You put together a good plan to let your music show hosts know how much you wanted to see Rain on your televisions, you shared that plan with the rest of us, you executed it, and it has come to fruition. Excellent job!
When CloudUSAer Marisara saw the tweet from Latino music host Fer earlier in the week that hinted at a “certain video” of a “certain Korean performer” being included in their broadcast on the performer’s birthday on Saturday, we got all excited around here and crossed our fingers and toes and hoped like heck for the best.
And it did indeed rain in Mexico on June 25 when our Magic Feet’s “Rainism” video was front and center on a TV Azteca Top Ten segment. There were a few factual errors in the banter between the two hosts, but aren’t they only now getting to know about Rain, and is it really that important in the whole scheme of things at the moment? We say no. We say savor this triumph, enjoy the sweet taste of it, and simply feed them the right information for next time. Hopefully then they’ll play him a little later in the day, since the whole video seemed a bit too sexual for them so early in the morning (as they mentioned) and suffered a little trimming. Hahaha!
At the same time, I’m kicking myself. I’m just now realizing that I have TV Azteca in my television lineup. Gah! I could have watched it!

Well, we and our global sisters in Asia, Europe, and the Americas are always busy, actually. 🙂 But on Rain’s birthday yesterday, you might say Rain’s Nation amped things up quite a bit on the Twitter trail.
Look at all the pretty black and white banners. Though it was in different positions on different Twitter charts depending on location, #@29rain_birthday trended in countries across the planet on the morning of and in the evening of his big day. » It even made it into the Top Ten topics in Japan. While he was on the 비상/Flight set working instead of taking his birthday off (something he does all the time, work on birthdays and holidays), his Clouds were working to spread his name and deeds even further than they’ve already been spread.

I’m guessing here, and I could be completely wrong, but that’s really what it looks like to me.
Bibigo‘s cake tweet bids JiHoon warm, respectful birthday wishes, and mentions their deep mutual bond. What a nice gesture! The cake (which looks to be by Tous Les Jours Bakery, a past sponsor of Rain’s and another CJ Foods affiliate, like Bibigo) looks cute and absolutely delicious.
And then there are the other two images, which seem to tell more of the story. In fact, the caption in the green border there says: Rain (Jung JiHoon-nim) Happy Birthday commemoration Bibigo lunch ‘something’—6/25/2011. (I’m thrilled to death that I was able to partially read that, y’all! But Bibigo’s two lunch tweets, no can do. Not yet. Even using a translator, the word/sentence structures are difficult. This beginner—me—is going to need a LOT more lessons. 😛 )
So… I suspect that Rain was on the 비상/Flight movie set, and 비비고/Bibigo brought him and his cast mates lunch as well as the birthday cake. Doesn’t that look like what happened, possibly? And when it comes to Rain working on his birthday, he’s old hat at that. Very used to it.

Rain Giving Life

It certainly was not my plan to post this Cloudburst account from Saturday, 4/30/2011, so late, dear Cloud USA community members.
But the month of May was pretty demanding, and June hasn’t been much better until now, and never let it be said that we don’t rise to a challenge around here. (Challenge licked. Brushing shoulders off.)
And so, without further ado, here is what happened the day of Cloud USA‘s very first Rain fan get-together on this fine planet of ours, here in Atlanta!
I still can’t believe how much fun we had.
On the road again.
I was pretty calm before the Cloudmobile pulled up to my driveway. But then I hopped into the car and felt Terri’s very palpable excitement as we drove off, and my own mind began to whirl. We glanced at each other with silent grins. Nothing needed to be said, really. Within hours, we were actually going to meet two CloudUSAers, Rain fans much like ourselves. It was a special day that words would never properly describe.
After a quick detour at the mall—to replace Terri’s forgotten phone charger—we hit the highway with a vengeance in the the direction of Pleasant Hill Road over in Gwinnett County. (We had our first road trip in search of Rain there, remember?) That charger was of utmost importance… Gee (a.k.a Questsurfer) was flying in from Louisiana, Paola (a.k.a Paoare) was waiting a few more miles up the road in Suwanee for word from us that we’d arrived on her side of town, and so a dead phone battery would be a disaster. We had to be reachable so that everyone was in the loop. (Terri here: And if I had remembered to charge the phone up the night before, this would not even have been an issue…sigh… :-})
And so we were away, under fluffy clouds and azure sky, with Rain belting out his songs and keeping us company. Terri accompanied him on vocals, as usual, and very well. And my on-point choreography didn’t scare other motorists, for once. (I must try harder next time. *wink*)
Destination: Super HMart.
The plan was to 1) hit the SuperHMart because we had a Korean birthday cake to buy (Paola’s wonderful friend Ileana in Pennsylvania couldn’t come to the meeting but wanted to surprise Pao for her birthday), 2) do a bit of shopping in our favorite stores there around the strip mall, 3) check in at the restaurant where the Cloudburst would take place and have the Chung Dam staff hide Paola’s cake, and 4) call up both peeps and say, “We’re here! Can’t wait to see you!”
Well, a monkey wrench flew into that plan right away, haha. As it turned out, we couldn’t get a cake at HMart, and you’re not going to believe why. *lowers voice to a conspiratorial whisper* A soft-spoken employee advised us that we wouldn’t like any of their cakes, and pointed us to a “much better place across the parking lot”—the White Windmill Bakery. I must give the girl high props for being honest, you know? It may or may not have been true, but it was definitely her opinion and there was no reason to not listen. And so… off to the Korean bakery we went.

Why are we asking this question, you say? Well, because the fantasy billboard with the most votes will become our Rain calendar for the month of July. Cool, huh?
A long story short:
Cloud USA staffer Katie, our U.K. connection, was strolling through London when she happened upon the massive billboard below for the Renault Mégane, an automobile that sports a really nice glass roof. Check out the campaign tag line. “Rain. Kiss my glass.”
(The REAL billboard. European car mocks the weather. “C’mon, rain, fall on me, I dare ya!”)
Immediately the wheels in Katie’s mind began turning so fast that they nearly caught fire from the friction, and after she got home she was in the mood for some “sneaky editing”, as she puts it. Haha. These are the lovely, fantastic funnies that came flying out of her imagination. Brace yourselves.

Just read this news and I think it’s wonderful!
I like this reporter^^. He is not talking about Shinee or the concert in London, but about our prince!
The girls in the pictures are fans of our prince. Some became fans after watching Cyborg, some after NA. They know Rainism and all our prince’s songs very well, and long to see his dance and performance.
The important sentence here:

To our knowledge, Rain was the first celebrity to be embedded into CJ E&M’s popular online game “Sudden Attack”, in 2008, and his character has raked in well over $210 million USD in sales since that day. The last character upgrade/re-do (version D) that we saw was about seven months ago, so check this out: what looks to be Game Rain’s newest look (version E). Nice!

We do. Good heavens, yes.
Rain has always had a natural beauty that defied description, from his earliest days. He has changed the definition of what beauty is all across the world, even here in the West, for pete’s sake. No arguing with that. But what we’ve also come to discover is that the Man is like fine wine. He’s gotten better and better with age.
Over the course of his career, he’s gone from irresistibly cute and adorable to amazingly handsome to downright gorgeous (you saw how the female guests inside the TIME 100 Gala were staring open-mouthed), and he’s headed for dangerously devastating. By the time he hits 35 and that devastating phase, and 40, and 45… we’ll all probably need oxygen tanks to help us breathe when we look at him. Haha. ♥
