Isn’t that something? If the world didn’t know that Rain’s fan base spreads to the four corners of creation, they know it now. Congratulations, sisters! We’re so excited.

Rain to launch nationwide concert tour in Korea this August
Asian superstar Rain will launch his nationwide concert tour in Korea this month, according to his agency J.Tune Camp.
On Tuesday, J.Tune announced in a press release that Rain, who recently completed his Asia tour, will kick off his Korea tour titled “The Best Show” starting with a performance at the Busan Exhibition & Convention Center (BEXCO) of Busan on August 13 and 14.
Rain will then hold concerts in Daegu, Jeju Island, Gwangju, Daejeon and wrap up with his final shows at Seoul’s Olympic Park Stadium on September 24 and 25.
“I am currently talking to members of my staff in preparing something special for my fans in Korea who have always supported me,” Rain was quoted as saying, adding that he is excited about his upcoming tour.
Rain, whose real name is Jung Ji-hoon, has been considered one of biggest stars in Korea and throughout Asia since the start to his solo singing career in 2002.
He is currently shooting action pic “Take Off: Closer to the Sun” which is a remake of the 1964 Korean movie “Red Muffler.”
Tickets for Rain’s “The Best Show” will become available on online reservation website Interpark starting July 11.

Due to the delay in the proceedings, we’ll do things more quickly.
Rain’s concert will be held at Busan’s Bexco convention center on August 13th and 14th, and 384 seats have been allotted to Cloud fans.
(There are only seats available, without any standing section at this concert in Busan)
You can feel that the seating capacity is too small, but there are seven more concerts besides this, so please understand that.
In the image below, the violet color blocks are the place for the fan seats.
(The seats make no distinction between domestic fans and overseas fans)
Applications for the fan seat booking will be first come first serve basis via e-mail, at 9:00 pm this Saturday (for the fan seats on August 13th), and at 10 pm this Saturday (for the fan seats on August 14h), separately.

The particular performance of “I’m Coming” at LoR Saitama, Japan, will always stick out in my mind. Why?
Well, because 1) Rain was really earning his Master of Exhale title during the song (heheh) and dancing his sexy butt OFF, 2) I had not heard the Trampoline Dance music nor seen any portion of that dance since his original performance on the MBC Songs Festival (December 2008) and it surprised the heck out of me, and 3) news media from that time period reported that during the first show (the Saitama Super Arena stop was for two nights) Rain had landed wrong and hurt his leg after a mid-platform leap down onto the main stage (and of course, gone on with the show). This is the only place where Rain leapt from anywhere onto the stage during the whole thing, as far as I can see.
Supposedly, people saw him at a Tokyo area hospital directly after the concert, and the injury turned out to be only a sprain and the tour wasn’t affected at all. It did scare me though, because the last thing he needed was to have to go through a bunch of concerts badly injured the way he had in 2007, after fracturing his arm and getting knocked unconscious in Hong Kong, during his World Tour. Thank heavens he was okay this time. *shudder* He’s one tough cookie.

Ah! An unexpected treat, fans. We start off with Rain inside his van, self-camming for us. And anyone who wasn’t living under a rock two months ago can tell by his MCM fashion that this is where Rain left South Korea (via Incheon Airport) on his way to the TIME 100 Gala in New York City. Oh, heavens. Does this mean that in an upcoming episode, we mightย get a few personal glimpses inside the Gala venue, from Rain’s point of view? Wouldn’t that be something?
Let’s keep our fingers crossed as we go on with the show!
(Pardon me, but gosh, he’s handsome. I know, I know, understatement of the year, right?)
How many times has he done this, stood outside of Incheon, on his way to some foreign locale? Hundreds, if one were to count. Rain looked well seasoned to the scene and completely confident on the way to catch his plane, and he should have. After all, he already knew exactly what was around each corner he would turn in that airport and how to handle it. He could probably do it in his sleep, meeting the press included. *adorable little girl alert, Rain is doomed* ๐ Somehow I can’t imagine such a tiny young’un pining away until her mother got her the Back To The Basic mini-album, where Rain is hot and half-naked and tempting and completely momzzang and singing of love and making a woman emotionally and physically his. Which means that album is probably her mother’s. Which means her mother is a smart cookie. Heheh. ๐
And so Rain makes his plane and that’s when he, for the second time, whips out the self-cam that KBS gave him. LOL! Remember, everyone, the john-versation heard around the world? Hahaha! Q: “How do you pass time on a plane?” A: “I gorge myself, then I take a tremendous crap, and gorge myself again. Just kidding.” ROFLMAO. I think I’ll probably remember that on my death bed, Rain. It just gets no more hilarious than that, dude. ใ ใ ใ ROFL! ย (For an English translation of a portion of his dialogue throughout this entire episode, you can revisit KBSWorld’s subtitled Star Date clip HERE.) What in the world was he asked when he blushed like a schoolgirl, though? Probably something about him being sexy. What’cha wanna bet?
The Man arrives in NYC, blows through JFK and into his transportation, and of course, it’s really raining. ๐ On the way to the hotel, he talks about being nervous, not sleeping, his poor face being swollen as a result (aww), and a few other things… before we suddenly find ourselves in the bright light of morning the next day, with him scarfing down a good sashimi breakfast. He seemed quite preoccupied with his forehead. And quite chatty. (And a little gassy or hiccuppy or something ๐ ) Which kept me grinning. So doggone cute. ๐ (Why did RAINY DAY leave that outtake in? ROFL! I’m glad they did!)
Rain was also looking for inspiration for his next album that morning, which should be dropping around September now… I wonder if he saw anything in New York that he liked for it? In any case, he was happy to show us a nice mini-panorama of Times Square through the window of the establishment where he was eating (the Blue Fin… thanks, Terri!). He really should do self-cams more oftenโhe’s so full of personality, and fabulous at it.
That’s it from Rain in NYC for this week, all, but there’s more to come. I can’t wait to see what additional goodies Rain’s camera might have gotten for us. A Cloud can dream, right?

Just watching these cool clips again brings back every bit of the fun that Rain and Lee HyoRi had making their CFs, and the good times we had with these and the additional videos that have since disappeared. 1. The Man was doing extra exhaling, ad-libbing, and talking back to us in his mic through the whole thing

[Cloud USA 7/2/11] I was tooling around the Internet Highway the other day and was delighted to come upon TRIXTER, the digital production company responsible for almost 200 visual effects shots in Ninja Assassin. The following is from their company profile page:
“Since 1998, TRIXTER has been creating outstanding visual effects and digital character animation for feature films, television and commercials. From the early days, TRIXTER established itself as a major player in the field of emotive character animation, both for fully computer generated animated features as well as live-action productions. Over the past few years, TRIXTER has expanded its expertise by branching out into visual effects and has recently accomplished some outstanding work for German and international projects such as Ninja Assassin, Percy Jackson, Lilly The Witch, Iron Man 2, Narnia 3, Green Hornet and many more…”
TRIXTER recently opened an office in L.A., which would certainly make it easier to continue their work with the movers and shakers in Hollywood, but their location in Berlin may be where work on Ninja Assassin (particle and liquid effects, compositing, 3D animation, etc.) was done.
What an impressive portfolio. They’ve had a hand in a lot of major projects, not to mention they have the best Ninja Assassin blurb ever. It says everything you need to know in a language you can definitely understand. Short, sweet, and to the point.

Back in February of this year, when Rain announced his BEST Rain 2011 concert tour that would take place in many cities across Asia over the spring, legions of his fans rejoiced, major concert venues were almost giddy as they began preparations, and the Media was both delighted and shocked at the same time. (After all, they had been taking it upon themselves to announce “Rain’s final concert before going into the military” for nearly a year. First they claimed it was ZEPP Japan in Summer 2010. Then Intensity Manila in the fall. Then ADIEU!2010 in December. We simply rolled our eyes when theyโagainโsaidย the same thing about this BEST Rain tour. Oh well.)
The most wonderful thing about the new concert tour was that entertainment wasn’t the only thing at its core.
The environment was a huge part of Rain’s messageโtreasuring it, preserving it, using it wisely and teaching our children to continue on where we leave off. Rain’s BEST 2011 tour was a green-themed “rain for the world” concept where he wanted to give something back to the earth. It was tailored specifically for each country on its schedule, and a portion of the proceeds from the tour went to help the earthquake and tsunami victims in Japan.

Beijing, China. In connection with the earliest and very first concert stop at Wukesong/MasterCard Arena (March 26), Rain recorded a promotional song called ใ็ๆใ”Treasure” in both Korean and Chinese in order to bring urgency to the problem of desertification in China. In continuing to take the initiative concerning the severe degradation of the land, he also went through formalities to be named honorary ambassador for the China-Korea Green Environmental Protection campaign, a project where he would focus on Chinese and Korean youths and environmental awareness.
Rain’s additional concert stops in China were in Guangzhou (May 28), Shanghai (May 25), Taipei City/Taiwan (May 15), and special region Macao (May 14).
