I’m not bragging. It just is what it is.
Back during Thanksgiving week here in the States, a new MCM flagship boutique opened at the luxury Pavilion Kuala Lumpur shopping mall in Malaysia. And the Pavilion KL Twitter just about lost its ever-loving mind because Rain was coming to the event as Special VIP. Heck, I don’t blame them.

You know what they say โ good things come to those who wait.
And wait we did. Rain graced the glitzy Asian Couture Federation Awards Gala held at Marina Bay Sands last night, where he picked up an award for Style Icon 2014.
Dressed in a crisp white suit with geometric prints, he posed for photos before being promptly whisked off-stage, leaving even the emcees slightly mystified at his disappearing act.
Shortly after being presented the award, he took centre-stage for his stunning performances of โHip Songโ and โLa Song, from 2010โs Back to the Basic and 2014โs Rain Effect respectively.
After which, he uttered his first โ and last โ words of the night with a big โThank You!โ before disappearing backstage once again.

Remember back in August, when Rain did a video message and was supposed to participate in the Xiushan Lishui Oxygen Music Festival on the 3rd?
Well, I was too busy to notice back then, but I don’t think that festival ever happened, for whatever reason. (There is a pre-poster, but no images, fan cams, or clips of the event on this blog or our Pinterest.) Anywhos, Runway Media over in China has recently put up a fresh poster and info, with the festival date now December 20.

I’m sure some of you’ve already seen where a digital forensics expert has compared a picture of Rain with the fake photo in question, and has concluded that they are two different men. As we already knew.
The structure of the outer and inner ear is just like a fingerprint in that no two people have the exact same one. Eyebrow pattern is also significant.
Incidentally, the statement that is being quoted by every KoreanโEnglish news site and K-Pop site out thereโThe fact that the eyes are covered in the picture means there is a 90% difference from this particular personโmight very well have been translated into English but made little sense to me at first. (There’s always a chance I’m being affected by my Flu medication. Yeah.) I had to think about it for a good minute, but I feel that what they mean is, When you mark out a person’s eyes in a picture, that person immediately looks 90% different from his- or herself.
That must be it. I just tried it on a picture of myself, and lo and behold, if I was being completely objective, the lower half of my face and my forehead could have belonged to someone else! Wow. You learn something new every day.
I also found a scientific article about how the eyes are CRITICAL for facial recognition. Which the netizen already knew, of course. Which is why s/he marked them out, so that the real guy’s altered face would look 90% different from his real face, thus he could be mistaken for just about anyone. Especially Rain in a dimly lit shower at an odd angle.
Huh.
Go get that “paper”, Rain.
(Personally, I’m a little weirded out by SBS News trying so hard to set the record straight when they’ve been so instrumental in Rain witch hunts in the past. Know what I mean?)

HIERSUN (Hanson) Diamond Brand provided the engagement ring used in For Love or Money from its I DO Collection. On November 10, they posted the cutest ever comic book version of the movie’s plot line, starring Rain, Crystal Liu, and the ring on their Weibo. Aww! โค

A quick observance: Do y’all remember how in his Full House days, Rain had to sing “The Three Bears” song everywhere he went? Well, at the For Love or Money promo events, they made him say the “I love you! I love you! I love you!” line from the amusement park carousel over and over again, in Chinese. “ๆ็ฑไฝ ! ๆ็ฑไฝ ! ๆ็ฑไฝ !” (pronounced “Wo-ai-ni! Wo-ai-ni! Wo-ai-ni!”) LOL!

The Story of “For Love or Money”

I hope many clouds will have the opportunity to watch the movie in cinemas. As it is in Mandarin, I hope this post will help you understand better the story line.
The movie is based on a story written by a popular author, but Director Gao Xi Xi said he has changed the content substantially, especially by giving it a happy ending.
Rain (“Xu Cheng Xun”) is the son of a tycoon, but has his own dream of being a painter. He doesn’t want to inherit his family’s business and is contented being a poor artist.
Crystal Liu/Liu Yi Fei (“Xing Lu”) aspired to aristocracy as her grandfather had been a nobleman, but it did not pass down. She was deeply betrayed by the man she loved. She decided she will not love anyone anymore.
Rain and Crystal met in a coffee shop and started their love story.
It turned out that Crystal was being hired by Rain’s mother to seduce her son. She wanted Rain to fall in love with Crystal, but at the end Crystal will leave him because he is poor. She believes this way Rain will return to her and get on with the family business.
Crystal carried out the plan, but in the process she found that she had genuinely fallen in love with Rain. The dilemma is now For Love or Money.
From the trailer it looks like love wins over money. There was a scene where Rain and Crystal were sitting on a bench. Rain was holding an umbrella shielding Crystal from the sun. She seems to be pregnant. ๐

Singer and actror Rain has chosen the Chinese drama Diamond Lover (tentative) as his next project.
Diamond Lover is a highly-anticipated drama by Chen Ming Zhang, who directed Taiwanese drama Fated to Love You, which was remade in Korea due to its popularity.
In the drama, Rain will be transforming into the CEO of the worldโs best diamond company and a typical elite of the society.
Although he is a perfectionist and a gentleman, he is cold and keeps his distance from people, calculating all benefits and losses in everything he does. In the drama, Rain will be acting out a cold man who later finds his true love.
Tang Yan, who will be acting opposite Rain, is a popular Chinese actress who starred in Perfect Couple, Chinese Paladin 3, My Daughter and more.
An affiliate of Rainโs new drama stated, โRain has confirmed his appearance after getting an exceptional offer, taking into consideration his popularity and star status in China.โ
It has been reported that he received over 6 billion won for the drama.
Rain will begin filming Diamond Lover in the beginning of December, traveling in between Shanghai, Nanjing, Belgium and Seoul.

Well, I’ve seen THE photo, and as far as I’m concerned, this nutty-zen could have at least had the decency to choose a picture that came somewhat close. Simply posting any muscular body and marking out the eyes doesn’t cut it. That is so clearly not Rain, LMAO.
Rain’s muscles, lips, jawline, abs, chest, man-V and hip bones are as unique as his hands. Even the bellybutton is wrong. It looks nothing like him.

Rain will be strongly confronting rumors regarding nude photos.
On November 13, a photo of a nude man began circulating online. The netizen, who spread the picture, explained that it was a nude photo of Rain that was leaked out of Kim Tae Heeโฒs cellphone. Regarding this, Rainโฒs agency has stated that it was completely false.
Rainโฒs legal representative, Kim Nam Hong, told Newsen on November 13, “Weโฒll be filing a complaint sometime today or tomorrow. This is completely false.”
“We donโฒt know with what intention it was released. At first, we thought it was something to laugh over, but a surprising number of people actually believed it was Rain. We thought that everyone would dismiss the photos, but itโฒs actually becoming a problem. Itโฒs a problem because people in Japan and China will also look at it, and many believe itโฒs from Kim Tae Heeโฒs cellphone.”
The lawyer continued, “It is a very childish act. We believe that [the netizen] is doing it on purpose to raise credibility. [The netizen] even added, โฒI hope itโฒs not.โฒ That seems even more malicious to us.”

(Rain in 2006 during his Pepsi Circus CF and photo shoot in China. Not sure if this is true, but I’ve read that Rain was voted the Celebrity With The Perfect Body there, so Pepsi signed him up FAST. And that although he was allergic to something in the silver glitter on his chest, he convinced JYPE to let Pepsi put it on him anyway. The show must go on! ^@@^)
