JiHoon is racking up phone privileges like a Man on a mission. He has managed to eat the lousy food, so they will too. One recruit who is only two beds down from him feels like such a man! keke LOL Such fun stories from the guys in his unit. Keep ’em coming, boys! 🙂

Rain’s comtemporaries speak highly of his hard work

Rain’s contemporaries from his military training camp are sharing behind-the-scene stories while staying with him, which attracts the attention.

Those stories are in their letters sent to their own acquaintances. In the letters posted on major portal sites, they have had nothing but praise for Rain.

One recruit was so amazed, “Unlike other former stars who often had to make their way to the dispensary during the training course, Rain has easily finished off the course they couldn’t carry out. So I was stunned into silence.”

Other recruits spoke highly of Rain’s hard work, “Rain looks like a good hyung (brother) in my neighborhood and he is so cool.” “There is a reward and punishment system where If we get the full 15 points, we can talk on the phone for about 3~5 minutes. Only he has achieved the work at our barrack.”

In addition to these, many interesting stories are contained, “The military food is just lousy, but the world star managed to eat it, and so will I.” “He and I are staying at the same barrack, and he is just two beds down from me. I’m such a man.”

Before this, Rain let his fans know how he maintain good contemporary relations by posting a letter in his own handwriting on the unit Key cafe (blog), “There’s an age difference of 7-11 years between them and me, so I’ve almost become their counselor.”

Netizens responded to this, “As Rain always does a great job, I knew he would put across his task.” “I burst out laughing reading a recruit’s story – the world star managed to eat it, and so will I.” “I think the recruit training center has a nice, homey atmosphere.”

Meanwhile, Rain was enlisted at 306 Supplements (boot camp), Uijeongbu, Gyeonggido last October 11th, and he has been deployed at a recruit training center belonging to the 5th Division via through its own random drawing.

This means he’ll start his military life at his final military location after a random drawing at a company, the Division’s subordinate position, after a 8 week training course at a recruit training center belonging to the 5th Division from the 17th.

Rain’s Hand-Written Letter to Fans

Besides Rain’s letter to his little sister, another hand-written letter has been revealed. The military revealed the hand-written letter by Rain on October 24.

It reads, “I am reading your letters well. Receiving letters here is giving me a lot of strength. I am having a good time with my fellow comrades. I am actually thankful for the things I haven’t had the chance to experience outside of the military. I am from 7 to 11 years older than most individuals here in the service and I have become something of a professional counselor.”

Rain ended the letter with, “I am getting along well with my division. At times I am lonely, tired, cold, and hungry but I become happy through the little things. I am reading all of the letters that I receive so do not worry about that. My handwriting is awful.”

Currently Rain is undergoing training at Division 5 (located in Gyeonggi Province) as a trainee soldier.

[Cloud USA 10/26/2011] Rain and Colbert for sale, with the proceeds going to charity!

American humorist and personality Stephen Colbert has donated the matted archival print of himself and Rain from the Colbert Report in 2008, by Andrew Matheson, to the fine folks at Charity Buzz to raise money for classrooms in need, so spread the word. Or better yet, snatch this very cool prize up for yourself. This was taken during the time that South Korean singer, actor, and entertainer Rain (real name, JiHoon Jung) was in the U.S.  to promote Hollywood blockbuster movie Speed Racer and while he was also preparing to film Warner Bros. movie Ninja Assassin, in which he had the lead role, a first for a Korean actor in Hollywood.

This item is only one of around 45 items in The Colbert Report Retrospective Online Auction that is taking place from October 7 to December 1, for the benefit of Donors Choose.org. The bidding over there looks to be progressing nicely, so why not get in on the action?

Have this terrific 16″ x 20″ representation of Colbert and Rain’s mock-feud and hilarious May 2008 dance-off for your very own, in this one of a kind original print, and do a great deed for children in the classroom at the same time.

Terri and I just got back from NYC today (where we went to attend the SMTown Live in New York concert at Madison Square Garden, AND on a road trip searching for Rain items). We’re happy, but tireder than two ticks fighting over the same hound. Our trip turned into a working jaunt for Terri, who is chief editor at HelloKPop, when due to unforeseen circumstances, she had to cover the the SMTown press conference for them, the day of the concert. But some of the coolest stuff came out of that—she got to see all the artists, photograph them, and even ask Super Junior’s leader Leeteuk an interview question during the conference. So who the heck is going to complain about that? Not us! 🙂

Anyhoos, we really need to get some rest tonight (Tuesday). We’ll be back full force tomorrow (Wednesday) and get this place back up to Rain speed, and start giving you posts about the trip (we hobnobbed with Clouds, found a teeny bit of Rain in NYC and a GREAT stash of him in Virginia!). Soooo… until then, peeps.

Rain is Eternal. Where clouds stay gathered, rain will always come. It is inevitable.

We love when he says, if he had to start over again from the bottom, he could do it. Firstly, because it shows an unshakable belief in himself, one of his best characteristics. And secondly because we know he could, too. No doubt in our minds. 🙂  (Of course, that’s not going to be necessary. The Rain train will never stop moving forward down its track.)

Rain’s Nate News Interview, 10/10/2011

A telephone interview a day before he enters the army…”A big test when he became independent of JYP”

(Seoul=Yonhap news) reporter Li Enjeong = “Now the first scene of the life of “Rain” has finished.  The second scene of my life will start in the army.   If until now I have been like a solid pine tree, when I come out of the army, I would change to become a flexible bamboo tree, haha.”

A day before he entered the army, we had a telephone interview with Rain (Jung Jihoon) on 10 October.  We asked him about his mood, and he conducted the interview with his usual cheerful voice.

The interview was conducted when Rain had just said goodbye to his mother at her graveyard, and was on his way back to Seoul.

“I was praying for an hour, and had a lot to talk to my mother.  I will serve the army diligently just like I have been as a singer.  And I will take care of my father and sister just like I have been doing before.”

On 9th October Rain gave a free concert at Yeongdong Road outside Samseong Dong as his final stage before he entered the army.

Rain “was deeply touched seeing the over 20,000 audience”. He told us his feelings. “As I sang each song, the memories of my 10 years since my debut were brought back in rapid succession.  The songs brought back the nostalgia. Tears were in my eyes but I told myself not to cry.”

“When I am in the army, I would like to organize my 10 years story between times, and I hope to publish a book called  <20s, let’s triumph> in future”.  He laughed as he told us this.

The following is our Q&A with Rain about his entering the No. 306 army on 11 October:

Q: How did you spend your time after the date of entering the army had been confirmed?

A: After the news came out, I received dozens of calls “let’s have a meal, let’s have a drink”.  I was in Pusan a few days ago with the “Fly Up” movie crew for a press conference at the PIFF and met brother Go Su, sister Kim Soon ah and we had a drink together.  I also talked to Director Gang Jeh Keuk who sat at the next table.  Also, yesterday JYP came to the after concert celebration party. He encouraged me that there will be many better pieces when I come back from the army.  Most of the good friends around me thought “I should live well” haha.  Now I am on my way to edit yesterday’s concert for broadcast.  Today, I am still spending my time on work.

Q:  We saw that you had already cut your hair short at the concert.

A:  I wanted to show my fans first how I looked with my hair cut.  So I cut it short myself, then I went to the beauty saloon for treatment.  If I don’t put on hair styling products I think my hair style would look like that of an elementary student.

Q:  What’s your feeling at the last concert before you enter the army?

A:   When the stage started, the memories of my 10 years after my debut flashed back in succession.  The audition with JYP; the dancer period for JYP and Park Ji Yoon; the release of the 1st album clashing with the world cup, but getting to No. 1 with “Instead of Goodbye”; the release of the 3rd album and winning the grand award; the two times nomination of Times 100; the MTV movie award.  They all came up and I was filled with emotions.  When I sang “How to avoid the Sun”, “It’s Raining” and all the other songs, they brought back the treasured memories.  I promised myself I would not cry at the concert, so I had been holding it all the time.

Q:  If you have to choose 5 most meaningful consequences in your past 10 years..

A:  Through the drama “Full House” the name of the singer Rain was known throughout Asia; with my popularity in the Asian base I was able to be on Times 100; chosen together with Brad Pitt as one of the 50 most beautiful people in the world by People Magazine; meeting the audience on the stage at the theatre in Hollywood during the premiere of my first major movie “Ninja Assassin” in the USA; the moment I received the MTV movie award with the same movie.  All these were unforgettable memories to me.

Q:  You had endured many ordeals.  When was the most critical trial?

A:   When I became independent of JYP in 2007.  All the attention from home and abroad was “can Jung Jihoon break away from JYP”.  Such attention gave me a lot of mental pressure.  Actually I worked in perfect harmony with JYP as partners.  He took care of the whole album process in terms of composing, recording, mixing, mastering etc. I looked after the choreography, stage costumes and broadcast strategies.  We had good division of labour.  However since I stood alone I had to decide everything, from A to Z and there was a lot of stress.  I therefore had great attachment to the my first album “Rainism” since I became independent.  Luckily the songs “Rainism” and “Love Story” in the album achieved good results on music charts.

Q:  Don’t you have the thoughts of putting down your own challenges in a book? Can you tell us beforehand the title of your book?

A:   I had the thought of writing a book on the first scene of my life up to now, but this was delayed because I wanted to write it myself.  When I am in the army, I plan to organize my stories in memo form in between times.  I knew nothing when I was a teenager.  However in my 20s, I realized it was a formidable society, and that compared to academic ability, a person having ground breaking ideas will be more successful.  I want to write about such thoughts and how I overcome the times of my frustrations.  If I have to conceive the title of my book in advance, then it would be “20s, let’s triumph” hahaha

Q:  How do you want Rain’s next 10 years to be like?

A:  Up to now I have been like a solid pine tree.  When I am discharged, I want to change to a flexible bamboo tree.  All this time I don’t bend to things and choose the standard frontal attack.  I wish to be like when the wind blows, I could move with the wind and keep my composure.  Also I want to invest more in myself.  Recently I want to do calligraphy and to learn about calligraphy.  I like the countryside more and more, so who knows, may be when I am old I could be doing farming work.

Q:  Have you not seriously thought about raising a family in your 30s?

A:  All people work hard for a happy life.  To me, the greatest happiness is the time you spend with your family.  I wish to have a family but it is not easy for me.  I had girl friend but with my work, I couldn’t devote a lot of attention to her, and it became difficult to each other.  Perhaps all people have such experience.  Mutual understanding is necessary.  If I get married, in order to focus on my family I will have to fold up a lot of activities.  At that time, may be just an album and/or a movie in 1 year.

Q:  Please say something to MBLAQ whom you personally trained.

A:  It would be a very good thing if the kids raised by me could become tiger cubs and give big attacks.  It would be good if MBLAQ could do even better than me.  I want to say to MBLAQ “work hard constantly.  The career of an artist is momentary.  You have to be strongly determined as you may not know when the risk will come and your career may be interrupted.” I have been living with the attitude that if I have to start from the very bottom again, I will be able to do it.  I wish to emphasize this again.

Please see the attached information posted on The Cloud English Talk today by Cloud huhuhuhu, concerning two more versions of the address where you can send letters to Rain while he is in boot camp. » Our version is HERE, in a previous post. Please note that you can use any of these three (ours included), as they all go to the same place, to JiHoon. Just take your pick. Neither is better than the other; choose either Hangul/Korean or Romanization (phonetic English) and go with it. We’re just glad that the Army is actually letting him have letters this soon!

Please note the additional information below as well. Thanks.

[info] Letters and parcels to Rain, posted by huhuhuhu on The Cloud English Talk

For overseas fans who want to write letters to Rain, here is the address.  (There were 2 versions given, both are the same – 8210 Army = No. 5 Division)

1. (486 -859)경기도 연천군 연천읍 상1리 사서함 106-16호 8210부대 3대대 12중대 2소대 1번 정지훈 훈련병

Phonetic address in English [Romanization]:

Gyeonggi-Do Yeoncheon-gun, Yeoncheon-eup, Sang1ri po box 106-16, 8210 budae 3 daedae 12 joongdae 2 sodae no.1 Jung JiHoon 486-859, South Korea

2. (486 -859) 경기도 연천군 연천읍 상1리 사서함 106-16호 5사단 35연대 3대대 12중대 2소대 1번 정지훈 훈련병

Phonetic address in English [Romanization]:

Gyeonggi-Do Yeoncheon-gun, Yeoncheon-eup, Sang1ri po box 106-16, 5sadan 35 yeondae 3daedae 12 joongdae 2sodae no.1 Jung JiHoon 486-859, South Korea

It seems that it is recommended that letters should be sent by ordinary airmail instead of via DHL or EMS (I guess to avoid the officers having to sign frequently on the courier envelopes as they expect many letters from fans…)

Food items or magazines should not be included in the letters.  (Not sure if photographs are allowed.  The advice is just letters to guarantee delivery.)

As we know, the training will be for 5 weeks (and 1 week has already past.) The above address is valid during this period.  Afterwards the address will be different depending on which unit our prince will be assigned to.  So if you want to send your letter to our prince, please do so without delay as delivery could take as long as 2 or 3 weeks to reach him.

There will be an extended training of 3 weeks for certain type of soldiers.  We will not know if this will apply to our prince until his assignment has come out after the 5 weeks training.

The Army’s café has a letter section and registered members will be able to access the café and post their messages/letters to the recruits.

http://cafe.daum.net/YShwarang/FMm/653

Unfortunately you have to register with either a Korean ID or an overseas residence ID.  The café is heavily loaded with letters to our prince and this has probably created a lot of work for the officers.  They have printed out 2 lots of letters already (for all recruits, but the bulk is addressed to our prince.)

If you cannot access the café, you could leave your message/letter at the Cloud Letter section at the Cloud:

http://rain-cloud.co.kr/common/board/list.asp?board_id=Cloud Letter

The Executive will coordinate to have these letters delivered to our prince.

Parcels

Parcels of food and other supplies can be sent to our prince after his training (5 weeks or 8 weeks depending on the circumstances).  It seems though that parcels from close relationships (family members, lovers, close friends etc.) may be allowed even during the training period, so let’s hope Hana’s parcel will reach our prince!

Many of us may wish to send our own items chosen specifically for our prince.  However it may be advisable we do this in a coordinated way – to avoid our prince getting a lot of similar things all at the same time and then nothing at another time.  It may be good to send in items not just for our prince but for his team members as well so that they could all share – and a group effort will allow us to buy more items.

If you want to form a group, or if you have a fan club that wishes to send in a parcel to our prince, Korean clouds will be able to help coordinate this.  Please send me a message and I will follow up with you.

Photos of the No 2 unit, 12th Division

The officer of the unit has posted a number of photographs at their café but there is no photo of our prince… From the photos it looks like the recruits are doing well – and that’s the feedback Korean fans have gathered about our prince too.  We hope very soon the army will decide to publish some photos of our prince!

We’ve all seen this before, but this version is so clear and pretty, we couldn’t resist it.

Do enjoy Rain’s 2003 special performance at the Korean Music Awards. It was the Escaping The Sun era, and the Man was blazin’ with “Do You Love Me or My Fame?”, “Escaping The Sun”, and “Nice and Slow”. The Men behind the Man showed out big time, too! “I plan to put my hands in places I never seen, if ya know what I mean—” Yep, we had a pretty good idea, especially after he took out the mic stand with Ol’ John Henry. @____@ LOL!

Global Post 10/22/2011 — by Justin McCurry

K-pop: Born in Korea, headed for the USA

With a six-hour concert at Madison Square Garden this weekend, K-Pop preps for its American debut.

TOKYO, Japan — When Rain, South Korea’s most successful pop star, reported for national service duty at an army base near Seoul earlier this month, the hundreds of fans who bid him farewell included a big contingent of Chinese and Japanese women.

Rain is not alone in enjoying the adulation of admirers from beyond his own country’s borders.

In the space of a decade, South Korean pop has risen from relative obscurity to sweep the entire Asian continent, and is now casting its eye on the potentially lucrative U.S. and European markets.

From Beijing to Bangkok, “K-pop” artists are riding a wave of interest in Korean music, TV dramas, films and games that are expected to be worth $3.8 billion this year, up 14 percent from last year, according to the Korea Creative Content Agency…

[Cloud USA] Road Trip for Rain: On the hunt for KPop and Jung JiHoon.

•October 21, 2011 • 15 Comments

Ronnie and Rain in NYC, April 2011, for the TIME 100 Gala.

Maps and GPS to New York City? Check. Concert tickets? Check. Rain CDs, DVDs, and other items? Check. Laptops and other paraphernalia? Check. Suitcases packed? Check. Books, snacks, and Korean study aids? Check. Charged up cell phone? Check. Billy club and baseball bat, in case of ghetto thugs or hermit-like mountain men in towns with one gas station? CHECK. (We’ve been watching waaaay too much of the Chiller Channel.)

Sounds like we’re going somewhere, doesn’t it?

At around 9 am, lovely Clouds and Rain fans, Terri and I will be hopping into the Cloudmobile, heading out of Hotlanta, and making a beeline for the Big Apple. Madison Square Garden and SM Town Live in New York awaits! Our very first KPop concert, where we’ll be seeing Super Junior, BoA, SNSD, SHINee, TVXQ, f(x), and Kangta. Insane!

We’re also going to be seeing where we can find some JiHoon along the way, and in the city, because that’s what we always do. We want to know where the Rain merchandise is in this country. So, you could actually call this a Road Trip for Rain.

Just wanted to let you know that Cloud USA will be mobile for the next four days. We’ll check in when we can, let you in on our fun, and watch out for Rain news and update as the Internet permits. Seeing Cloud USA peeps along the Eastern seaboard is definitely on the agenda, as is a stroll through Korea town, and oh—thanks to our hotel, we have complimentary dessert waiting for us at the Blue Fin. The BLUE FIN. In Times Square. That should be interesting. (Terri’s been to the Fin before, but it’ll be my first time, so I hope they’re gentle with me.)

Hang tight, mates, and we’ll be seeing you later on in the day!

Rain rocks street-casual fashion for last photoshoot in ‘First Look’

Right before he enlisted with the army on October 11th, ‘world star’ Rain posed for a photoshoot with ‘First Look‘ magazine.

The concept of the shoot was to showcase a street-casual fashion. We see Rain rocking a common training suit, as well as chic winter sweaters and jackets. Though the look is comfortable, the coordinators made sure to select pieces that would fit Rain’s ‘top star’ status.

In the accompanying interview, Rain talked about his 10-year career and its course of progression, starting from his young days as a fresh idol to his world celebrity status in the present day.

He commented, “It feels like the end of my first prime career moment.” He added, “During my 20′s, my life was like a marathon. I just kept running and running for a certain goal, and I do not regret it.”

Rain believes that his military service will serve as a good experience as it will help him reflect upon himself.

Check out the cuts from the magazine below!

Fresh Rain ads found in Adidas stores. Awesome. (Just because JiHoon’s in the military, did you actually think his endorsers would stop putting his stuff out? Of course not. He’s still under contract! And they love the fact that he’s a great role model.)

And we couldn’t agree more. Just go have a look (or another long, hard look, haha) at this gorgeous spread. Many photographers over the years have said that they always get what they need from Rain during a shoot. Always. The camera loves him, and he knows what to give it.

Yes, Baby Boy is a soldier now, for the next 21 months, but the Rain train is still smoking on down the tracks. Thanks for this, MTV Style!

Rain’s Sportswear Spread For ‘1st Look’ Is Crucial

Oooooooobbbaaaaaaaaaah! Okay, for all y’all who don’t know, that’s the term in Korean for ‘brother’ and it’s often shrieked in cochlea-shattering decibels by ladyfans of K-pop singers like our guy Rain, who we would all obviously SCREEEEEAM for on sight because he’s now in the military and we can’t see him anymore. Hence this coverline on ”1st Look’ Magazine, Vol. 7. saying ‘Goodbye’ that makes us desperately sad. BUT then we go in-book and peep that not only is this Rain sportswear story filled to the gills with Jeremy Scott but there’s even a shot of the SoKo pop megastar in a hoodie WITH EARS. Waaaaah soooo kawaiiiiiiiii. Even if that term is Japanese…

No, seriously, what is it about guys in jiggy sportswear (like, $100+ sweatpants) that sends me in an absolute whirlygig of a tizzy? Especially when paired with shiny bubble gooses with a slight Chevron angle at the torso? Definitely go in and check out the entire spread because you get to see Rain in full gunshow mode lifting weights and wearing an immodest, gob-smacking array of the finest jersey and ripstop nylon duds in all the land. Oh, and he’s also wearing fingerless gloves which has to be the calling card for all ultra-attractive dude-dimes for fall or something because we are seeing that ish EVERYWHERE. Breaking news! Toldya this post was REALLY important. Drop everything else. You will not be disappointed.

[video/Eng subs][no Rain] Korea Army Training Center: JiHoon and his recruit-mates are in good hands.

Please watch this special video, sanctioned by the ROKA and hosted by MC Lee DongWook, which outlines the basic training regimen of all new recruits entering the South Korean Army.

Knowledge is power, dear Clouds and Rain fans. So with this, your minds should be more at ease concerning what JiHoon is learning as a soldier in boot camp. He is receiving world class training, he’s being well taken care of, and he will undoubtedly accomplish everything that is asked of him. We know of no reason that he couldn’t, even with the weather turning cold.

Do keep in mind that basic training was changed from five weeks to eight weeks this year. As we understand it, that was to be absolutely sure that every recruit had sufficient time to learn everything and be fully prepared for his job.

HUGE thanks to CloudUSAer Kongsao for the tip on this terrific video. And we also thank the ROK Army for releasing it.

[info] It might be possible to send JiHoon a handwritten letter at this time.

Cloud cover by: Stephe, Managing Editor ^@@^

{*Edited to Add: JiHoon is now indeed being allowed to receive letters from his fans! Please see additional information HERE! The address here in this post is good as well! Happy writing, all!}

ORIGINAL POST

Please read everything in this post carefully. Do Not Skim.

As we understand it, Rain fans, this is where to send handwritten letters to JiHoon/Rain at this time.

HOWEVER: 1) Seeing as he is in Boot Camp/basic training, it may be that only family is allowed to write him until these initial eight weeks are finished. So we cannot tell you that your letter will either see the light of day or be accepted. (When basic is over and he gets his formal duty papers, that particular location is where all of our letters should be able to go without that problem.) 2) We don’t expect that anything but letters are being accepted at this time, except maybe from family. And 3) English speakers, please make sure you address your envelope exactly like this (Romanized Hangul) for the best chances of it getting through. The military is very picky.

°

FYI: Just an observation for 8th Clouds…

Some of you may not have read all of our previous instructions about the Cloud Letter section on Rain’s official Cloud Fan Site, because you aren’t addressing your Cloud Letters with JiHoon’s proper designation:  12중대 2소대 1번 정지훈 훈련병. This should at least go in the subject line. You can also put it at the top of your actual message for good measure, before you begin writing, if you’d like. This would be the safest thing to do.

The Cloud will be diligently copying your letters of love and support over to Unit KEY’s (열쇠부대) personal Cafe over on Daum. Without JiHoon’s proper designation, if your message is printed out for delivery (rather than possibly read online later), military officials will not understand who to deliver it to, and in their haste they will skip it.

Thanks.

As we mentioned in our latest Rain check, Korean magazine 1st Look has given Rain a fond farewell in their Vol. 7 print edition issued October 20, 2011. Here are some really nice shots of 1st Look’s pictorial on their website online. We say they did Rain all kinds of justice here, don’t you? What gorgeous shots indeed! And congrats to the Men behind the Man for making the grade along with their little brother. We’re so proud! 🙂

As you recall, Rain tweeted a similar photo of himself and his dancers to all of us back on August 7. And, as in our latest Rain check, Rain is also wearing these clothes in an ad in an Adidas store, as seen by a fan today.

As we understand it, the box that Hana and Kichun-ssi received were the belongings that Rain arrived at camp with. Recruits’ possessions are shipped home, and they are only allowed what the military directly provides them with until they are out of basic training (no distractions is the rule).

(Sorry about the delay with this story. We’ve known about it, but were simply waiting for an English write-up that satisfied us.)

Rain’s little sister reveals his first letter from the army

Rain‘s younger sister updated her minihompy recently, and shared a letter from Rain with his fans.

On October 15th, Rain’s sister, Jung Hana, revealed that she received a package and a letter from her famous big brother. She wrote, “A package came today. I didn’t have any thoughts about it since receiving it but after reading the letter, I cried. He wrote, ‘You are my most loved sibling in the world’…He also told me to give Baekgu [his dog] a bath which caused me to laugh hysterically. Haha. He said, ‘Lock your doors, be careful at night, be careful of cars’…I’m doing really well so I told him not to worry.”

She later added, “I feel more secure because of his letter. Even so, he naturally adapts to things well and his will is strong. He’s the kind of oppa that does everything well!…Anyway, to all of his fans: oppa is doing well so don’t worry about him too much.”

Relieved, fans responded, “Thank you for telling us this news! I’m glad to hear he’s doing well”, “Please keep us updated often about any news from him!”, and “You must have worried a lot since you’re his little sister! Thank you for keeping the fans updated!”

Thank you, Randy, for sharing this absolutely precious picture from summer 2009.

I’ve come across this picture. In the picture, Jihoony (Rain) is seen practicing the guitar to play accompaniments for the intro part of his song “The Way To Avoid The Sun” in rehearsal for his Legend of Rainism concert two summers ago. In stagecraft of the performance, we thought Jihoony could appear on the stage while playing the guitar..haha..

°

As I recall, some of our favorite pictures came out of those LoR practice sessions, right, Rain fans?

Sexy backs, sexy fronts, and whatnot… ^@@^

°

And as you also may recall, one of the funniest times we’ve ever seen Rain with an acoustic guitar in his hand was waaaay back in the day, when he was mock-competing for HwangBo’s affections on the idol variety game show Love Mates (천생연분). Those two had so much fun with that, the giggly fools. keke Not to mention, he had everybody falling out with his fancy gee-tar playin’. LOL! ^@@^
