This is Episode 55 of Rain’s Korean SBS situation comedy Orange, from debut year, shared by a Japanese Cloud.
Cute things to note in this episode are: Our “Asian Prince” Jang GeunSuk runs into bad trouble with a gang of bullies, and the guys decide to go gangster on the thugs, with less than stellar results. LOL! Rain’s character 비 becomes Han EunJung’s character’s arch-nemesis, getting on her last nerve at every turn (she just can’t win!), heheheh… until he saves her butt and they actually become friends… and he starts liking her. 🙂
The featured Rain songs in this episode are “Instead of Saying Goodbye”, Rain’s beautiful duet with Sea/Bada called “Just Like You” (Neo Cheoreom/너처럼), and “Can’t Get Used To”, the song he sang in concert for a while for his mom.
The intro music still plays, if you want it to. The “Rain’s Official Website” link there used to take you to Rain’s 2004 sub-site on JYPE, which no longer exists (would LOVE to have seen that).

SONG OF THE WEEK: “Don’t Stop”, Track 8 on Rain’s Vol. 4 album Rain’s World (2006). This song and the choreography have long been a favorite of mine, especially as it shows Rain’s fondness for vintage boom box sound and his ability to pop the heck out of his joints. Once you fall for Rain’s dancing, no one else quite does it for you. And so, let’s go live to his performance at the Tokyo Dome in 2007! “Dis is Old School, a’ight?”

And a special treat: Remember when, during the 2010 ZEPP Tokyo tour stop footage on RAINY DAY Season 2 Episode 38, right after “Don’t Stop”, Rain revealed himself to be the last neon dancer at the end of the performance, to our utter surprise? Thanks, everyone.” each time I voted, so just go for it and get the lead out! What is the “Korean Wave?”
Also called Hallyu is the increasing influence on music and TV series, cinema and food coming straight from South Korea.
This wave is lead by drama stars such as Hyun Bin and Kim sun Ah (protagonists of My lovely Kim Sam Soon) and by singers like RAIN, {who is credited with the title King of K-Pop. Rain’s fame is such that ^@@^} for three years in a row, he was part of the most influential people of TIME magazine, even above Lady Gaga.
Under the picture: Rain participated in Hollywood movies such as Meteoro and Ninja Assassin.

Wow, CloudUSAers, what a time that was, when influential Rain came to New York City for his second walk down the TIME 100 Gala Red Carpet.
Not only did he look incredible, but CloudUSAers Gigi_rou, Diva, Stormy, and Stormy’s daughter Tara (only about five feet away from him!), and the New York Clouds with Cuckoo and Scorpiola (on him like a tick on a hound, good job!) were all there to see him look incredible.
AND Diva and Tara both made it into the Korean News. Holy Toledo!
All was calm as stars arrived at Lincoln Center and the place filled up. But when Rain hit the place, I mean when his foot literally moved from the car and hit the pavement, pandemonium broke loose, and not just from fans. English speaking photographers and news reporters were hollering.
And once he and Ronnie Yang got inside, the women’s heads were swiveling about on their necks like weather vanes and this stupor came into their expressions like, WHO is that tall, dark drink of Asian water right there? I kid you not.
Lord, we were so excited. Wahhhhh… what a memory.

Rain just about passed out when Sting knew who he was, and went into a Tweeting frenzy. I can’t say that I blame him! Nor am I surprised in the least that Sting was in the know. Not in 2011! 🙂

(She’s the one with the orange scarf tied in a bow around her head.) Oh, and what looks like the previews for the next episode, with 비 all up “in the Kool-Aid.”

As we understand it, Rain was the most requested Consolatory Train performer during 2012, and he did his level best to make sure he appeared wherever his fellow soldiers asked him to be. Their morale was uppermost in his mind. We doubt this year is any different. 🙂
Despite what netizens would have you believe, PR/celebrity soldiers ARE important to the troops, even more so because should an enemy come charging over the hill, they would pick up a weapon and defend their countrymen to the death just like every other soldier. So marinate on that, will ya. ^@@^

When I first heard about this matter, I immediately thought that any failures to appear on Rain’s part might have been because of the military.
After all, the last thing the military probably wants right now is Rain before the public as a witness in any trial, with all the man-eating sharks paparazzi in his face, even though the courts are prosecuting and trying to punish the man who maliciously libeled Rain about embezzling funds in the J.Tune Creative debacle. And I’ll bet the last thing Rain wants right now is to be dragged into an arena BY this guy who caused him such hell, even though he must want to see him punished too. (The man is trying to get RAIN to testify on his behalf when HE libeled Rain to begin with? Really, dude?)
There could be military stipulations about just when and how active duty soldiers can be involved in civilian legal matters, OR it may not be a military matter at all. I could be completely wrong. At this point, who knows?
Rain has gone on record about exactly what happened already. Don’t they have enough evidence without disrupting his service?
Please read this with a grain of salt. Different things are flying around out there as “facts”, and I’m not so sure that we have “facts” just yet. ^@@^
It seems to be difficult for Rain to appear as a witness because he is a soldier
While singer Rain has sued Mr. Lee who is a business man specializing in clothes for defamation, Rain has been appointed as a witness but will probably not appear in court considering he’s serving in the military as an active-duty soldier.
During the phone call with OSEN on February 11th, one of Rain’s closest advisers expressed, “I guess it’s difficult for Rain to attend the trial since he is a soldier.” Before this, Rain submitted a declaration of nonattendance to the court last 5th, expressing that he would not appear as a witness for the defence (Lee) on the day (the 12th) of the trial of Lee.
Meanwhile, Lee tipped off the press with the information on the contents of that Rain and the representative of clothing company ‘J’ in which Rain was largest shareholder, had got together and embezzled public funds in cahoots in 2010, and the papers soon got hold of the story. Accordingly, the prosecution charged Lee without detention, with the incident as justification.
You’ll see what I mean by that when you watch this fan cam of Rain at a KyungHee University festival the year after debut, when he was still a Bad Guy. I dare say, he enjoyed himself. 🙂
