And what is オレンジ, pray tell? It is “Orange” in Japanese. (In Korean, 오렌지, pronounced oh-len-ji, almost like the English word.)
This is Episode 49 of Rain’s Korean SBS situation comedy Orange, from debut year, shared by a Japanese Cloud.
Before SangDoo, Full House, and A Love To Kill came Orange when our Baby 비 was as shiny and new (and bright-headed) as a fresh penny. The cast was top notch with very young actors/singers who went on to have full careers, including “the Asian prince” Jang Geun Suk with short, spiky black hair. The title came from how lifeguards were distinguished by orange uniforms. (From the d-addicts wiki: “This sitcom revolves around the ambitions, passions and relationships of a group of young people who work as lifeguards at a water theme park. It also deals with issues of water safety.”)
Sorry for the lack of English subs (Japanese subs only), but hey, this was way, way back, and it’s as funny as heck regardless, what with the exorcising of a ghost and walking in the rain with Rain and singing in the rain to Rain after TOO much soju. And getting splashed by Rain. LMAO! LOL!
(Terri and I were very lucky. Our homes and those of our families were spared.)
And don’t forget, people are still suffering the effects of Superstorm Sandy here in the States.
So please, everyone, keep your sister Clouds and their loved ones in your thoughts and prayers. Dear Clouds who have been affected, we’re with you. Please let us know you’re okay. Fighting!!
Well, wonder no more. CJ Entertainment America’s PR team assures us that this is legitimate.
Entertainment One is a major Canadian creator/distributor of global TV, music, and movies, and is not only working with CJ’s Black Eagle North American DVD release, but the U.K. DVD release as well. Which means that Amazon.com U.K. is at least one place where U.K. Clouds can get their R2B-on.
The U.K. DVD (Region 2) release date was January 14, so for y’all, it’s available now. So go. Go, go!
The Center for Military Human Rights is concerned about Rain’s treatment and that of his fellow soldiers. » Tweets abound: Dignity for Soldiers.
The Korean Media is now purposely ignoring official updated statements from the military and Rain’s management, and continuing to only print misinformation and the early untruths to feed the witch-hunt on Rain, and thus, their ratings. The Korean Media in general gives new meaning to the term “bottom-feeding.” » [articles] Rain’s lodging issues explained.
» [info][Cloud USA] Operation: Tie A Yellow Ribbon. Seeing as this operation was communicated on January 4 and officially began on January 5, with 31 days in the month, Tie A Yellow Ribbon officially ends after tomorrow (on the 7th). We cannot thank you enough, all of you across the country and the world, for participating and giving Rain global encouragement when he needed it most. Be proud of yourselves for stepping up to the plate. Fighting!
By Twitter and/or Facebook: As of this moment, 6563 yellow ribbons for Rain have been added to Twitter and Facebook icons since the Brigade was started. Amazing! Thanks for supporting our favorite corporal during his military service and for letting him know you’ll be waiting when he gets home! » For a brief read about the meaning of the Yellow Ribbon, go to our previous post HERE.
For information on where to send handwritten cards and letters to
상병 (sangbyeong) Corporal Jung JiHoon/Rain, please see our previous post HERE (military). For cards, letters, and gifts, do see our post HERE (office admin).
SONG OF THE WEEK: “Cassiopeia 카시오페아 (featuring Lim Jeong Hee)”, Track 6 on Rain’s Vol. 4 album Rain’s World(2006). Another heart-breaker of a tune, but then that’s what the man’s famous for, yeah? A live version with English subs is HERE, and with Spanish subs and romanji HERE, and with Turkish subs HERE, and with Vietnamese subs HERE. There are probably more out there too, so see if you can find your language!

{*Edited to Add: Pre-ordering is pretty important, folks, and so I’m setting my eye on Walmart (how can it get more legit than that?) That’s where my Ninja Assassin DVD came from too, by the way. ^@@^}
With it now being February 5, we’ll go ahead and put up the actual Black Eagle (R2B: Return to Base) North American DVD press release that CJ Entertainment America’s PR team were so kind to share with us last month. Huge thanks to them for allowing us to give you some of this information earlier, in our previous article on January 23 HERE.
Everyone, do be on the lookout for legitimate places where Black Eagle can be pre-ordered for purchase, starting today. Walmart seems to be one. And Best Buy seems to be another (although they need to step it up as far as providing decent information). As was brought to our attention a few weeks ago, Amazon.com may be another. Remember, this is a wide release, so look high and low, and chime in. Release date: March 12!Check out the places the movie is for rental on that date and after!
WARNING! PLEASE USE CAUTION. PLEASE BE CAREFUL!There is more than one “Black Eagle” movie out there now. Like a 1988 release starring Jean Claude Van Damme and a young Master Shô Kosugi. And this one, which appears to be a January 14 Region 2 release in the United Kingdom (we cannot vouch for this at the moment; we have sent an inquiry to CJ). Note the similar DVD box art, but Rain’s North American movie slogan is “Take the Battle to the skies!”, not “To break the enemy, you need to break the rules.” Seeing as payment on Amazon U.K. is indeed in pounds sterling and not dollars, that tells you which one you’re going to get in the mail. Capiche? Be careful where and what you order! And watch what you pay! You get what you pay for. The cheaper is not always the better.

I think it says a lot when an Armed Forces Broadcasting production designer comes forth on one of Rain’s fan sites in South Korea to let us know how important we are to JiHoon’s morale.
Be of cheer, Clouds! Our corporal will always stand strong, even more so for as long as we are behind him, supporting his steps. We know just how much all the entertainment travel and performances and PR work, together with his daily basic soldier duties, has taken its toll on him (work so extensive that it finally made his bad back flare up and put him in the hospital). It’s the bottom-feeding Korean Media and netizens who purposely walk around ignorant.
$27 to $36 USD a night… sounds like a real ritzy 5-star hotel room, huh? LOL They weren’t even allowed to pay for anything over that price on their military expense account.
Easy life in the PR division my @ss.
Fighting! 🙂 ^@@^

Please pardon my language, Clouds, but yes. Yes, he is. He’s a f**kin’ ninja, a f**king fantastic one, as a matter of fact. At least, in this video everyone seems thoroughly delighted to point that out. LOL.
Seriously, this is usually the kind of thing that Stephe and I usually just chuckle at behind the scenes, but Rain looks and sounds SO good in this 2009 interview with No Good TV that I couldn’t resist posting the video for you, just in case you missed it.
Warning though. If the “F” word offends you, please don’t watch the video, because the word is peppered throughout this video. Don’t wanna upset any sensitive Clouds, yo.
Send Rain one small Valentine’s Day card sometime before Saint Valentine’s Day, (before February 14), to demonstrate your love and support. Cards can be sent to Rain at his military unit, at the following address:
PFC Jung JiHoon (Rain)
External Relations Team
Defense Agency for Public Information Services
Duteopbawi-ro 54-99, Yongsan-gu, zip code 140-833
Seoul, South Korea
Per his unit’s request, please DO NOT send any candy or gifts to his unit address at this time. If you are just dying to send Rain a small gift, then please send it directly to Rainy Entertainment at the address below:
Bi Rain / Jung JiHoon Rainy Entertainment, Inc.
1st floor, 121-28 Cheongdam-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul-si
Zip code 135-955
Seoul, South Korea
(Note: You can also send your cards directly to Rainy Entertainment too, if you prefer. They will make sure he gets them.)
Let’s choose our cards well, Clouds, and make him smile. As always, thank you for your participation and support,
He most certainly is, as those who really know him will attest, rather than those who don’t and are simply sitting in their armchairs at home, judging.
Kim JaeWook (*note: name correction) went in about three months before Rain, which means that he should be coming out of that military hell hole soon (April, maybe?) after Lim JuHwan. Thank God! JuHwan and JaeWook will be back to their chosen careers, with Rain and KCM to follow. ^@@^

Posted by huhuhuhu @The Cloud Rain News Board, as heard on Corporal Kim JaeWook‘s show on military radio Friends FM 96.7, radiojumam:
Kim {Jae Wook ^@@^} talked about Rain in his radio programme
In his radio programme on 25 January, DJ Kim {Jae Wook ^@@^} invited Lim Ju Huan as his guest. Lim is currently the squad commander in their unit and will be discharged soon in February. Kim asked if Corporal Jung Jihoon will be Lim’s successor as squad commander. One guest asked, “Isn’t this already decided, hehe?” As they discussed, DJ Kim said “If he won’t do it, then who will, hehe?” He added that the current consensus and atmosphere is to convince Corporal Jung Jihoon to be the squad commander^^!
In the same programme on 31 January, DJ Kim said, “I spent time with Corporal Jung Jihoon today. He is a man of great strength and it makes me happy to spend time together with him!”
There was some flip-flopping back and forth at first as to if he would be at the show (he was filming The Fugitive: Plan B at the same time), but it all worked out. During the performance, unfortunately, Rain’s sound equipment kept going out on him. It was a relief when they finally—for the last song—gave the Man a hand-held mic. Good grief. But it was still a stellar performance and he was as charming as ever!
Enjoy this Blast from October 23, 2010. 🙂

I’m sure you all recall Rain’s phenomenal “Return To Korea” performance at the 2008 MKMF, after he’d been gone from the stage for so long, doing concert tours, Speed Racer, and Ninja Assassin. He’d just hit the comeback trail with new song “Rainism”, and blew everybody away by “walking on water” inclined and doing one of the (if not THE) best “Rainism” performances on TV to date.
Well…!
Two of my favorite fan cams ev-var in the history of the world were taken at that show. They are very important fan cams because for some reason, even though the crotch-pop has always been the highlight of the “Only You” choreography, the network nutted up that night and avoided Rain’s crotch-popping like the plague. Out of three, they only half-showed one. They just weren’t having it, who knows. And that would have truly sucked… but for the fact that God created fan cams and the cammers were ON IT that night. Thank the Jesus.
Pure, beautiful, crystal-clear broadcasts are great and all, but you just cannot beat a fan cam with a stick. End of story. 🙂 ^@@^
(Manna from heaven #1, courtesy of RainSao1982) I’m just noticing that this “Don’t Stop” was done with YongDeock instead of SangQ, as usual. Interesting.

We are pleased to announce that Japanese Cloud and longtime Rain fan Naoko (a.k.a harudoful) is bringing her talents to the Cloud USA YouTube Channel. She and JJ (JessMK) will be working together as moderators and Rain tribute/video creators, going forward.
She became a Rain fan while watching “A Love To Kill”, and of course, her favorite Rain song is “Not A Single Day (Harudo).” She has one of the most gorgeous YouTube backgrounds we’ve ever seen on her personal channel, and her fan mades are nothing to shake a stick at.^^ We feel very blessed to have her. JJ and Naoko are going to make a great team.
Please join us in welcoming her, and support her well.
The Hungarian Clouds are STILL tying a Yellow Ribbon. (I hope most of you out there are!) And these even have little clouds on them. So cute! Thanks for sharing more of your pictures, Clouds! 🙂
