Yes, it’s true. Rain will show one of his residences (the one he bought after six years of hard work, that many of you saw 3D-rendered by an artist in Korea in January 2008) for the very first time on his new show tomorrow night. He has always lived quite frugally, as his JYPE digs during his 2002 debut and his first very modest apartment with his family (2004) will attest, and so his first house back then was a pretty big deal and well deserved. ^@@^

Rain to show his house on “Rain Effect”
Rain will be unveiling his house during the first episode of Mnet’s Rain Effect.
The interior of the star’s house was decorated mostly in white and his poodle was shown hanging out in the grassy front yard.
The episode will also feature Rain trying to change his clothes behind the door, since cameras have been installed all over the house.
A staff of the show commented, “It will be very interesting to see how Rain acts in a variety show, since he is not used to it. He did his best throughout the show, as if he was still a trainee, even though he is now a veteran singer.”
The first episode is set to air on December 19.

I think it is safe to say that of the many characteristics we all find so endearing about Rain, his genuine love of food is perhaps one of the favorites.
It no surprise then when we catch him in food-oriented commercial films. As I progress with this series, I am finding that the food CFs top my list as most enjoyable (and definitely where he rocks the cuteness to the nth degree). Rain does not need to act or feign enjoyment of eating. This is a true pleasure for him.
The Korea Ministry for Food, Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries let the splendor of Korea’s landscape collide with tasty Korean cuisine then added that special ingredient: Rain, for their GrEAT Korea campaign. The level of delicious is probably beyond that which any taste bud could reasonably tolerate!
Surely the delectable shots of the those fabulous Korean dishes could be enough to entice you to visit Korea. Add Rain on the other side of those bowls and my guess is you would probably be booking the next flight to Seoul! ^.^
And what’s über cool about this CF is that we get to hear Rain speak in perfect English praising the healthy benefits of a mighty fresh bowl of Korean bibimbap. I just want to squeeze him – he is SO cute!! ♥

Churro King (츄로킹), a company that makes authentic Spanish churros in Korea, blogged yesterday the 14th about how they had the pleasure of catering on the sets of Rain’s new music videos on the 12th and 13th of this month.
One call from HS Media, who was in charge of the shoot, and off the Churro King food truck went to keep all the staff and dancers (in their Desente ski wear) as warm as possible with hot churros and coffee because, as you know, South Korea is in the throes of snow and harsh winter temperatures right now.
Our Naoko [harudoful] did some investigating and submits this short blurb from the company’s 12/14 post:

“Shortly after noon of 12th, the opening day, I was requested to come by 5 PM. There was the winter storm warning on the radio, so I went at such a slow speed that snow started to accumulate on my side mirrors. As soon as I arrived at the shooting location and finished setting up, Rain came by. He was so wonderful, even in man’s view. On 13th, I received a call from media staff again. In the room, Rain was in the middle of shooting, so I watched, and took one cut of photo.” — Churro King
It is written that finally the huge success of Rain’s album is wished and that it is expected that Rain will always be lively and cool.

Enjoy these freshly released fan cams that revisit Rain’s September 2010 performance at the INTENSITY show at the SM Mall of Asia in metropolitan Manila, Philippines.
If you recall, at the time he was in the Philippines in order to continue The Fugitive: Plan B filming and to shoot several CFs for Nikon (with best friend and photographer BbaekGa). Let’s deconstruct the TV show listing below so that we know what we’re dealing with, shall we? 🙂
When you see 레인이펙트 (pronounced lein-ee-peg-teu), that is Rain Effect. In this case, both of the words “rain” and “effect” have been adopted straight from English and spelled out phonetically in Hangeul. (There is no “f” sound that I know of in the Korean language, and so a “p” sound is used in place of that (ㅍ). And there is no straight “r” sound, rather an “l/r/d” sound instead (ㄹ) depending on the word.) I find it most interesting that they are using the English word “Rain” instead of calling it 비이펙트 (Bi Effect), because that means the Powers That Be absolutely do understand the power of an English play on words. Nice!

And so, from this Korea TV listing from Mnet, we can deduce that Rain Effect will be premiering overseas on both Mnet Korea (in High Def) and its sister channel KM (not in High Def), on cable TV and on SkyLife satellite, on Thursday 12/19 at 11 PM. The premiere episode will repeat on Friday the 20th at 12 noon and at 8 PM on Mnet Korea, and also on Saturday the 21st at 12:30 AM, 11:30 AM, 5:30 PM, and 11 PM. All episodes are recommended for ages 15 and older.
Oh, how we envy you lucky ducks in South Korea!^^ But, hopefully, we’ll have our own reason to celebrate not long after the Korean premiere. 🙂

Singer Rain (his real name is ‘Jung Ji-hoon’) has finished shooting a music video for his new song on the 14th, and the countdown to his comeback to the stage has begun.
According to his agency ‘Cube DC’, Rain has completed shooting a music video for his new album’s title track in a professional studio located in Gwangtan-myeon, Paju-si, Gyeonggi-do, Korea, for five days from December10-14.
The agency told Star News today, “Rain has shot two music videos, each with a different theme. He can work as a singer with a title track or with double title track (two title tracks), but further details are yet to be determined. We are trying to decide whether he will shoot extra music videos for other tracks except the two or not. We’ll gradually decide what to do, putting the finishing touches to his new album during the post-production stage.”
It is reported that even though Rain worked through the night to shoot music videos, there were no bags under his eyes, and instead, he encouraged the staffs.
An official with the agency said, “Filming took place up to today. Despite the cold weather, Rain was very considerate of others even when he ought have winded down after an exhausting day in cold weather. He was seen maintaining a professional demeanour throughout.”
It is known that Rain has put so much work not only into music, but also into music video, ahead of his actual comeback. He is planning to show the intensity of his performances, each with a different concept.
In particular, to provide his fans with the best-quality music videos possible, Rain has worked with visual artist ‘Lumpens’, who composed singer ‘Jo Young-pil’s ‘Hello’ which gave music fans a refreshing jolt.
Next January 6th, Rain will release a new album for the first time in four years, and ‘Jung Ji-hoon’ as a human being will be shown in Mnet’s ‘Rain Effect’ on the afternoon of the 19th, with the process of preparing to comeback to the stage.
The production crew confidently said, “Our camera crew is accelerating shooting, spending months following the trail of Rain who currently held a concert tour in Japan, etc. An up close and personal view of his life will vividly be given to his fans.”

Just an FYI, my lovelies.
By now, you all know that Rain’s new docu-reality TV show “Rain Effect” will be premiering on Mnet in South Korea next Thursday the 19th, at 11 PM Korea Time. Well…
Two little birdies who spoke to Rain’s filming crew in Mobile have told us that the plan may also include Mnet America adding English subtitles to the episodes and starting them here in the U.S. a week or so after the Korea premiere. (Good subtitles take time to do, yo.) If things fall properly into place and this happens, we might have the show here as soon as December 27. What a Christmas present, huh?
PLEASE bear in mind that when it comes to things like this, the best laid plans are subject to change sometimes. Our advice is to keep your fingers crossed, pray, and google the Mnet America channel to see if it is available in your area. Be prepared! (Their Facebook and Twitter are HERE.)

In celebration of the Christmas holiday, the New Year, and Rain’s comeback in January 2014, we are delighted to announce Cloud USA‘s 2013 Holiday Memories for Rain Scrapbook Project!
Last year, we sent Rain a gift box (and two years before that), but this year, with his comeback in South Korea and his filming of The Prince in the U.S.A., he’s extremely busy traveling from one country to another. So, we think a scrapbook that he might be able to enjoy during moments of down time (wherever he might be) would be best. A holiday book would also serve as a nice companion to Cloud USA’s From Our Hearts to Yours Birthday Scrapbook which we sent to him in 2011.

The concept of Rain’s new album’s title track is to be like ‘How To Avoid The Sun’
Rain is known to be shooting music videos for his new songs, and it is being reported that it is decided the concept of the title track of his new album shall be a second ‘How To Avoid The Sun’.
Rain’s agency told TV Report on the 11th, “Rain’s new song may have an effect on the appeal of him to music fans. The new song has a soft dance beat with a lyrical melody, having a similar feeling to ‘How To Avoid The Sun’, one of his old hits. You can catch him dancing to the beat of music.”
Rain has been devoting himself to shooting music videos for his new songs since last December 10. He is expected to shoot two music videos being directed by ‘Lumpens’ for four days. Each of the two songs has a different feel but highlights the appeals of him.
Rain, who gave notice that his new album is going to be released on January 6, 2014, will be returning to the stage by appearing in Mnet’s reality show ‘Rain Effect’ which will begin on December 19. You can watch the show every Thursday at11pm. Further details of the number of broadcast are yet to be determined.
It is reported that Rain will make his comeback onstage through Mnet’s Mcountdown on January 9th, but his agency has defended that report, saying, “The plan has not yet been settled.”

Rain has started preparing busily for his comeback.
Cube DC, Rain’s agency, reported on December 11 that the star has started filming his new music video on December 10, and is planning to complete filming two music videos by December 13.
The music videos are directed by the famous director Lumpens who also directed Cho Yong Pil’s music video for Hello.
Rain will show the process of preparing for his comeback through the new reality show Mnet’s Rain Effect which is set to begin broadcast on December 19. His new album will also be released on January 6.

A Cloud’s Adventure to meeting the “Raining Prince”

Okay, Clouds… to say I’m happy to have met Rain is an understatement!!
My adventure started out the first week of the Zepp Tour. I bought a ticket to the first show in Nagoya and was on my way to the concert… so I thought! Well, the airlines I was on had two mechanical issues on two planes… really?! So, needless to say, 2 days waiting at the airport and I missed the concert (I understand now when people go postal)! And I did what any normal, sane, grown Cloud would do at that moment. I BROKE DOWN AND CRIED LIKE A BABY IN THE MIDDLE OF THE AIRPORT (so what if I scared some people walking by). I remember thinking, I want to talk to my Mom (one of those cries). Fortunately, I called my Cloud sister Michele DeMarco, told her what happened and asked if she had an extra ticket to the concert in Tokyo (because not seeing him was NOT an option)! She came to my rescue and said. “Yes girl, come on” and I love her for that!
My mom, on the other hand, called me from Chicago and said, “Tam, I want ‘The Rain’s’ email address, because I’m going to tell him what you’re going through to see him!” I said, Thank you, Mom, and I love you, but it doesn’t work that way and his name is “Rain” not “The Rain” (I guess that’s a plus, because she was calling him “Rainbow” at one point, eek). She said, “Well he needs to know that there’s a ‘dark cloud’ over one of his Black Clouds” and then burst out laughing and said, “I’m sorry, that was way too easy!”
After explaining to my mom what Michele was doing for me, she started to like “The Rain” again (and why was it his fault?!). Anyway, a week later I met Michele and my other Cloud sister, Maria Cammarota in Tokyo…and it was on, baby!

Oh Yeah:
I didn’t know what to expect when arriving at the concert because I didn’t know how to speak Japanese. Fortunately, I met some amazing Clouds and they all made me feel so comfortable and helped me when needed. You ladies rock!
The concert started on time, and when Rain came out I couldn’t do a thing but stare for the first 15 minutes! He’s just as handsome in person as he is in photos and movies… Good Lawd!! I mean REALLY?! What does that man use on his skin?! His skin is so soft and smooth like milk!! Whew… and he’s so tall and lean, you just want to climb up and see what you can find at the top waiting for you…*clears throat* I’m sorry… I got distracted for a minute… But you know what I mean! 😛 He tore up the stage at the concert with his Pop-locking and break-dancing skills from the past and his “Grown man” suave moves from the present! He’s so addictive you just want to go night after night to see him on stage! He’s a wonderful entertainer and will make you feel like you’re the only one he’s singing to (kekekeke).
I was supposed to stay for two concerts, but 5 hours before my flight I started to itch and scratch like an addict (I needed one more fix of “The Rain”). Needless to say, I bought a ticket to the concert to see him one last time (so I thought). He rocked it like only Rain can! Towards the end he came out on Lil Kim & 50 Cent “Magic Stick”, and when he looked at me, stuck that tongue out and moved those hips… goodness gracious. *fantasy starts* (music playing) Rain is looking into my eyes and telling me I’m the most beautiful woman in the world and asks me to marry him and right before he kisses me… BAM! Somebody bumped me (music scratched) *fantasy over*
Back to reality! NOOOOO…
Oh well, it was good while it lasted. I was still happy I had a chance to get my fix in! I thought to myself, “Now I can go back to the States a happy, happy woman!”
Touch Ya:
Meanwhile, somewhere in Pensacola, Florida…
My friend and sister Cloud, Cyndi Lacefield, contacted me and said (I quote): “I hope you are up. Just got the freak-out of my life. Rain is coming here, and girl, I don’t mean just U.S. here. I mean HERE, MOBILE ALABAMA, for the month of December. Let the stalking begin!” And I was thinking, “Yes, I can get one more fix!”
Cyndi contacted about 8 Clouds and started making plans. Unfortunately, the three of us were the only Clouds that were able to make it. All I needed to find out was where do I fly to and what day and time. She found out what hotel “our Prince” was staying in and confirmed he was in town, and I was on a plane AGAIN on Tuesday morning. By Wednesday morning around 10am, “Double Trouble” was in stalking mode, baby!
We went to the hotel and found out through our source that Rain was in fact there and getting dressed to do his next scene. OMG (heart beating fast) but I couldn’t freak out because all I heard at that point was my beloved friend in that sweet country voice of hers freaking out. “OMG, Tammy, Rain is here in the same building we are in. Oh my Lord, Tammy—Oh my Lord!” I told her, “Cyndi, please calm down, sweetie…” I was shaking and my heartbeat was getting louder, but one of us had to remain calm. So, after she had a cigarette and I did some breathing exercises, we were calm, cool and collected…
UNTIL that “tall drink of water” came out in a black suit and tie. Good Lawd!! Oooooh… and I was thirsty for some water!
We squealed like two high school kids and started taking pics and videos!
Rain was his calm and fun-loving self before and after taping his last scene. When he started to leave the set, it was time to pounce. I told Cyndi, come on, let’s go! I ran over to cut him off and waved at him. When he started walking towards me, I couldn’t breathe or talk. Then Cyndi made a bee line towards him so fast it scared the both of us! LOL! Bless her heart, but could you blame her?! She introduced herself and started talking and talking and talking, LOL! (I love you, Cyndi 😛 ) After turning around to shake my hand, Rain asked us, “Are you from The Cloud?” Yes, we said. “Okay,” he said, “let’s take a picture!”
Now, I want you to picture how all of this went down. He stepped in between us and put his arms around us…
Cyndi: “Oh Lord, Rain…my phone is still on video and, oh goodness, I’m sorry!”
Me (in my head, because I couldn’t speak): “Goodness, this man is fine and I can feel all of his muscles through this jacket.”
Cyndi: “Oh Lord, honey, I can’t change it to video… I’m sorry, Rain.”
Me (gripping his side to get closer to him while he tried to help Cyndi) “Yeah Cyndi, keep him busy… OMG, he smells so fresh and clean.”
Rain: (helps Cyndi with her phone with his left arm because I had him in a DEATH GRIP and he couldn’t move) “Calm down, it’s okay.”
Cyndi: “Rain, honey, I’m just so nervous…”
Me: (still exploring): “Mmmmmm, mmmmm, mmmmm, this man is a work of art… if only I can just get my hand under this jacket… awww, man, my family and friends said they don’t have bail money to get me out of jail… Dang!”
Rain (still helping Cyn) “Calm down…it’s okay.” (after switching her phone to camera and handing it to his friend, he looked down at me)
Me: “She’s just a little nervous.”
Rain (chuckles): “Yeah!”
After the pictures and after he walked away, we were so out of it and stunned, you could have bought us for a penny and got change! I mean, WE REALLY MET RAIN…WOW!
Instead Of Saying Goodbye:
I was blessed to meet “The Rain” again when our Cloud sister Gisele Winnier checked in at the hotel. We met one of the producers of the movie, Fred Song. He was so nice, and while talking to us about Rain, we were taped and interviewed for his show. It was awesome! When Rain got off of the elevator, I couldn’t move or speak (this man is the only person who can render me silent). Plus, I felt bad waiting for him because we heard he was exhausted, and I didn’t want to bother him while he was on his way back home to South Korea. But he’s such a nice guy, he took pity on us and took a picture with us anyway.
For the rest of the evening we were on CLOUD 9. I don’t think I’ve come down yet! One of the best experiences of my life!!!
Because of You:
I have met some wonderful women and made some great friendships all because of Rain (my Cloud sisters) and I’m very appreciative of that. I hope we Clouds stay loving and supporting of “our Prince” until he decides to quit… and thank goodness he don’t intend to do that anytime soon!

*Please NOTE: Whereas the news articles are saying 10 PM Korea time Thursday night, Mnet Korea is saying 11 PM on Thursday and Friday nights. Must there be a discrepancy in everything? Just sayin’. *shrug* ^@@^

You heard right, Clouds and Rain fans. Rain’s new TV reality show has a set premiere broadcast date—Thursday, December 19 at 10 PM (Korea time), on Mnet. That should be 8 AM EST Thurday morning here in Atlanta, and… Holy Moly, that’s next week! Well, all righty then. 🙂

As of this posting, Rain is back in Seoul and working on his new album to be released January 6, 2014, on two new music videos (should be finished with them by the 13th), and also working on his upcoming reality TV series “Rain Effect”, which premieres December 19 on Mnet. He’ll be back in the States later this month to film more scenes for Bruce Willis movie-in-production The Prince.
The 9th Cloud recruitment drive for his official fan club has not begun, and there is no word yet on when it will. Rest assured that we’ll keep you up to speed on “Cloud 9” when that information does come from the Korean Cloud. Thanks for your patience!

All good things must come to an end. I know dear Rain was most probably exhausted by this the 10th and final show of his Zepp Tour but the man was still overflowing with so much energy, verve, swag and smiles. I was filled with a mix of excitement and sadness as I made my way to the venue. I knew I was not going to want the evening to end.

I just tried the link myself and when I opened it, I saw this:
Yeah, a bubble ad for “Rain Effect” during a program that appears to be being live-streamed from Korea via Mnet’s MWave website.
So, this is one link I suggest you keep your eye on!
According to WorldTimeServer.com, Rain Effect’s (premiering tomorrow, Thursday evening the 19th at 11 PM KST in South Korea and Asia on Mnet) Eastern Standard time conversion for us Atlantans is Thursday morning at 9 AM (we are 14 hours behind Seoul). Look up the time conversion in your location now so that you’re prepared, and let’s see what happens! (**NOTE: Bear in mind that there should be no subtitles seeing as this is streaming from overseas, and that the show may or may not appear here in the 11 PM slot depending on what Mnet Korea has up their sleeve. There’s no guarantee. It’s all a crap shoot, and at least we do have a ray of hope from Mnet America for next week…)
