That statement brings three of Rain’s “Love Story” performances to mind… one of them being this amazing piece of JiHoon goodness from his SixToFive fashion concert a few years ago (December 2008 in Ilsan, S.Korea).
He has an inexhaustible well of emotion inside him, and boy, does he ever use it. The man just opens his mouth and out it comes.
Oh-em-geeee… enjoy this, everyone.

Strictly for the visuals: Do enjoy this Star News entertainment report behind the scenes of JiWoo and Kai’s long awaited fight on the Runaway/Fugitive set (Kai finally gets his face kicked in… YAY! One for JiWoo!)
It’s quite entertaining, watching these two Fugitive hunks working through their moves and laying the Smackdown. And poor NaYoung — remember the outtake footage that KBS 2TV released on the Fugitive home page, where Rain and the cameraman simply couldn’t stop laughing at her delivery in that same scene? Alas, her suffering is included here as well. LOL! She should have laid the Smackdown on those two clowns, for pete’s sake. LMAO
Have fun with this, fans.

Allkpop 11/17/2010—
Throughout the years, only a few Asian actors have been able to break through into Hollywood and become acknowledged as a top actor. However, it looks like singer/actor Rain, a.k.a Jung Ji Hoon, was able to be accepted as an ‘A- list’ actor, thanks mostly to the success of his debut American movie, “Ninja Assassin“.
“I didn’t know Rain would be considered an actor in the Hollywood’s A-list. I heard that a representative for one of America’s most well known movie distributors said Rain is part of the actors’ A-list though,” said An Hyung Soo, the producer of KBS 2TV’s ‘Fugitive‘. He further explained that Jung Ji Hoon is considered to be on the same level as actor Jackie Chan.
The producer continued, “I was able to realize Jung Ji Hoon’s status as an actor after meeting with a representative of an American distributor to discuss overseas distributions for ‘Fugitive’.”
Jung Ji Hoon took the lead role in the Hollywood blockbuster “Ninja Assassin” in 2009, and was also part of the supporting cast of the kids movie, ‘Speed Racer’, back in 2008. Because of the great success of ‘Ninja Assassin’, the possibilities for broadcasting of the drama ‘Fugitive’ in America are expected to be high.

10Asia 11/16/2010—
10Asia publishes mook on Korea’s hottest idol groups
Korea’s leading web-based entertainment magazine 10Asia has published its first mook [magazine+book] on the 16 hottest Korean idol stars of 2010.
Titled “10+idol,” the publication contains articles, interviews and photographs on artists the first issue has deemed as idols of the year including SHINee, Taeyang, Jay Park, Rain, 2AM, Girls’ Generation, TOP, Wonder Girls, f(x), Jung Yong-hwa, missA, BEAST, MBLAQ, Secret, Infinit and Orange Caramel.
10Asia’s interviews with the celebrities have revealed facts such as how missA member Suzy became a trainee for JYP Entertainment after singing and dancing on the street for an official there who took interest in her at the auditions for cable music channel Mnet’s SuperstarK and how MBLAQ member Mir lived on a farm before becoming a singer and knows when to make sure black goats need to be kept warm.
They have also provided insight into the young idol stars, such as in how former 2PM member Jay Park believes he should “work hard at helping everyone and influence people in a good way” despite negative public opinion towards him and how Taeyang believes pursuing music as a member of a group has provided him with more chances to challenge himself yet feels “the same way about activities as both a solo and group.”
“You may be getting a look at the entertainment industry as a whole rather than just a segment by getting in touch with the various sides to idol singers,” said 10Asia Editor-in-Chief Beck Una, adding that she is confident the publication “will serve as the most trustworthy white paper on the history of idols.”
“10+idol” went on sale starting November 10 on online bookstores including YES24, Interpark, Aladdin, 11st, Libro, Gmall, Gmarket and Bandi & Luni’s as well as major bookstores Kyobo and YP Books. Several bookstores including YES24, Aladdin and Kyobo ship overseas.

[ETA: Well, folks, I gotta tell you. The participation on this thing has been completely underwhelming. Even though lots of people are reading Cloud USA, the fact of the matter is even though we have 11 (yes, that’s ELEVEN) posters to give away, only 5 (yes that’s FIVE) people have entered the contest so far. That, Clouds, is disappointing to me.
It was so disappointing that I reached out and asked some of our regulars why—why, even though they had been given a whole week, hadn’t they entered this contest yet? The feedback I got was this: 1) They didn’t realize the deadline was already here (gosh, it came so fast!), 2)the questions are really challenging, and we don’t have time to go and re-watch all of those episodes so we can get all of the answers correct, and 3) we’ve been so busy with family and the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday that we haven’t even been able to think about the contest.
My response to these three reasons are: 1)surprise!, 2) we know they are really challenging. We did that on purpose. What fun would there be in a stupidly simple pop quiz? And no one is asking anyone to re-watch anything or to get all of the answers correct, and 3) we totally understand.
Because we really do want to give away all of these posters, and we really do understand (sort of…) we’ve decided to extend the contest deadline until Tuesday, November 30. We are hoping that this extension will give all of you the time you need to participate in this contest fully and to perhaps win yourself a cool poster (or two). The rest of the rules still apply.
Remember you don’t have to answer all of the questions and you don’t have to get all of them correct. Just have FUN and do your BEST. And please, please, please get your entries in as soon as you can, because the deadline will NOT be extended again. We have way too much to do ourselves during this holiday season, especially with the Christmas box project coming up. So, if we don’t give away all the posters now, we’ll just have to give them away at a later date, in another contest.
And at this point, all I have left to say is if I had to choose between playing the lottery or entering this poster pop quiz, I’d be choosing the pop quiz, because, frankly, the odds are a heck of a lot better.
Good luck and please have fun,
Terri :-} ]

Well, here it is, everyone — Cloud USA‘s very first contest giveaway, compliments of KBSWORLDi! (And we emphasize the “very first”, as it means there will be more giveaways to come out of our rather large stash of many things Jung JiHoon. Haha.)
You must be either a subscriber to Cloud USA’s media blog OR a member of Cloud USA’s Fan Forum to participate. (Either/or, not necessarily both.) Please use your same subscription email address OR include your Forum ID name in your email, so we can recognize you in our database. New community members who subscribe to the media blog OR who join the Cloud USA Forum may also participate.
And soooo… *drumroll* here are the Rules:
1) We ask the questions, based on the first TEN Fugitive: Plan B episodes that have aired. You answer as many of them as you can, as best you can, and email those answers to letitrain@cloudusa.org, with POSTER POP QUIZ as your subject line. If there are some answers you simply can’t find and you have to leave something blank, so be it. But email your best effort. We repeat, your BEST effort, because…
2) The first TEN Rain fans with the highest grades (the most questions correct) will win a gorgeous Fugitive: Plan B poster, sent directly to us by KBSWORLDi. (They contacted us and kindly asked if we would like some of Rain’s Fugitive posters to share with our community, and of course we said yes. And screamed excitedly. Thank you so much, KBSWORLDi, for your generosity. We really appreciate it.)
3) There are TEN questions, with an 11th question for Extra Credit. (Isn’t this taking you waaaay back, to your freshman in high school days? Heheh.) The first Rain fan/Cloud USA Community member to answer all ten questions AND the EXTRA CREDIT question correctly will ALSO receive, in addition to their Fugitive: Plan B poster, an exquisite double-sided Rain Nature Republic poster, sent to us from Asia for the contest by one of Rain’s top supporters.
(Check out the hotness hanging on Terri’s wall…! Honestly, these photographs do NOT do the posters justice, as anyone who already has them will attest. They’re so pretty, it hurts. Remember — we’re showing you the front AND the back of the Nature Republic poster.)
For those of you who are simply dying to talk IN DEPTH about The Fugitive: Plan B episodes, but are desperately trying not to spoil things for those who aren’t up to speed…
This thread is for you. Thanks for being so thoughtful of other fans. Have at!
WARNING: Do not enter, or thy will be SPOILED. You have been warned! 😀

Awwww…! A warm-and-toasty tribute to the strong love that is blossoming between JiWoo and JinYi. Mmm-mmm!
(But what about Kieko? JiWoo’s love for Kieko is pretty strong, as is his need to not betray her… lord, I do not see this ending well. Something big is going to go down to determine who JiWoo actually ends up with. Yikes!)

And let’s revisit the day when Rain was on the comeback trail (May 7) and “Love Song” proudly took second spot on KBS Music Bank’s K-Chart. He was glowing white like an angel, sporting gold Bling on ebony, and he sang that song as if some woman had him on the ropes that day.
Gosh, those were the days!

Word is that it won’t be MBLAQing, either.
We can’t say we’re surprised, if this is true. When details about this year’s Mnet Asian Music Awards first hit the Blogosphere, we warned against automatically assuming that Rain would be there, only because of the mess that had been created by the awards ceremony being moved out of S. Korea, and the artists that bailed from the jump because of schedule conflicts.
Don’t get us wrong — we understand the Powers That Be wanting to create a more global feel with a gesture of goodwill to the rest of the world. Nothing wrong with that at all. But geez, look at the consequences — a bunch of the most popular artists around can’t even be there now. Which means a hell of a lot of fans aren’t going to bother watching, and those numbers are going to add up.
What a disappointment, thinking of JiHoon winning awards and not being able to watch him receive them. He kicked some music tail this year. But heck, his hands are tied. His schedule is his schedule and he can’t just run off with The Fugitive: Plan B on the air but not yet “in the can.” Hopefully Mnet does some long, hard thinking about this and comes up with much better options for next year’s show.
» You can read POPSEOUL!’s take on it HERE, where they ask, if there’s no Rain (Bi), then is it really a 2010 awards show?

Nate News 11/15/2010 —
Rain won’t be present at the 2010 MAMA, which probably makes it less meaningful
Singer and actor Rain will be absent for 2010 Mnet Asian Music Awards (MAMA) to be held in Hotel Cotai Arena, Venetian, Macau. on the 28th.
Because of the schedule of drama ‘Fugitive Plan B’ where he has given an impassioned performance as the lead in this drama, he won’t be able to attend 2010 MAMA.
Meanwhile, 2NE1, MissA, 2PM, etc. will attend the awards ceremony, but ‘Super Junior’, Girl Generation, SHINee, etc. will not show up.

Newsen 11/15/2010 — [partial]
Rain mentioned through an interview with actor ‘Kim Hyung Jong’ playing a police detective character in drama ‘Fugitive Plan B’…
‘Kim Hyung Jong’ said:
“Before I worked with ‘Jung Ji Hoon’ (Rain) through drama ‘Fugitive Plan B’, I didn’t know how hard he works, but working with him, I’ve seen at a glance that he is no ordinary man. He works hard, and is a very sincere and quite a nice man.
I’ve had candid talks about the current work with him, which has made me find that he is to be depended upon. There is an air of magnanimity about him. I hope everything works out much better as much as he works.”

Asia broadcast 11/13.
Rain continues taking an onstage break after the sound guy finishes his mic fixes (last week) and engages the audience. Saitama Super Arena is mentioned, and several other things, and everyone seems to like the way the conversation is going. They especially like it when he launches into one of the Japanese fans’ personal favorites, “Free Way” from 2006, his second Japanese single release (“Feel So Right” was on the B-side, and a few months later, both songs were included on the Japanese album Eternal Rain. Mmm-yum!)
That is one of the things that’s so endearing about JiHoon… his thoughtfulness when it comes to whatever audience he is facing. He remembers the things that have had the most impact on them, and incorporates those bits and pieces into his performances. What a guy. ♥
(And by the way, I find it absolutely wonderful that he used the same background track that the Japanese fans fell in love with those years ago, rather than going back and cleaning it up by correcting his “r”s. He also didn’t adjust his live singing — that “r” was an “l”, and I loved that. ♥ ♥ Just another way of saying, Hey, I’ll always identify with you. I’ll always be the Bi you knew.)
Okay, so now this is where Stephe freaks out because what’s the next song? Huh? The one she didn’t expect in a million years back during our ZEPP fan cam days — “You”, from the Vol. 5 Rainism album. HOLY COW! It’s still so exciting. *hold on a sec, I need a minute* *lord* *okay I’m back* As we understand it, the S. Korean censors banned this song with a quickness, and even though we in the U.S. and folks in Japan and other places across Asia and the world wouldn’t be shocked over it in the least, we can see why they would be. Hide that ass ’cause you’re driving me crazy… Hehehe, love this song! And the dancers giving him lap dances is SO appropriate. *giggling like a madwoman* » The lyrics are HERE, on our Lyrics Page 4 (don’t get You confused with Only You).
And now it’s time for the Japanese version of Love Song (WOW) in his New York gold-studded Bling. When he ends the song with “I love you” in Japanese (aishteiru), the crowd simply adores it. And then, in what has become known as the most adorable ZEPP performance ever, Rain sings “To You” from Vol. 3 It’s Raining. ♥ ♥ ♥ » For a full version of this song during ZEPP, just go to the first video on my personal favorite things page.
