Here are two write-ups on Rain in Asia al día Magazine out of Lima, Peru on 11/29—one about the 2013 MAMA and the other about Hollywood movie-in-production “The Prince.” Isn’t it great to see it Raining in South America? 🙂 (Images credit: gloriadejung @Twitter)

Presented for the first time at a live event after completing his compulsory military service.
Rain Returned To Shine
Definitely one of the more exciting moments of the 2013 MAMA awards was undoubtedly the presentation of Rain, the idol of multitudes, who kept his word to attend the event. Rain—who had already fulfilled some performances with his fans after completing his compulsory military service last July—was presented for the first time before millions of viewers, performing live a medley of his best hits that catapulted him to fame, demonstrating that he is current, agile (with a few kilos less), and ready to break into the music market. Rain’s spectacular performance received excessive applause from audience. Rain (31 years) has seven albums under his belt and has acted in both Korean and Hollywood films as well as several dramas. In 2011 he was considered one of the 100 people most influential in the world.
Moreover, it was confirmed that Rain will release a new music album this upcoming January 6, 2014.

Rain Returns To Hollywood
Cube Entertainment Agency confirms that Rain, the famous King of K-Pop, will participate in a new Hollywood film production with world stars such as Bruce Willis, John Cusack and 50 Cent, among others. “The Prince” is the title of the movie that starts filming next month in December, when Rain will travel to United States to join the filming there and prepare the details of his new album, scheduled for launch on 6 January of next year. This will be Rain’s third film in Hollywood, after “Speed Racer” and “Ninja Assassin.”

Don’t be mad, Mr. Ordinary. I mean, I understand why you’re pissed off. Really, I do. After all, how in the world can you possibly compete with this…?

Or this…?
Or this…?
Or this?
Don’t overwork that little hamster brain of yours. I’ll answer the question for you: You can’t.
Even worse, despite all of your shenanigans throughout Rain’s entire eleven-year career, he has risen to the top of the heap and has gone on to become a global star—one who has earned the praise of industry professionals and fans all over the world. Whereas you, Mr. Ordinary, have not.
And you never will. Why? Because you’re too busy worrying about what Rain is doing rather than looking after your own business.
That’s too bad, Mr. Ordinary. If you’d actually done something of value for your country, your town—heck—even your own neighborhood, you might have actually become Mr. Somebody. But instead? Well.
You didn’t.

New Yorker and CloudUSAer Maria (@TonicNY) is back with her final fan account from Japan, which covers the first two ZEPP Tokyo concerts. My favorite part was when she tells about the Rain towel. I had to laugh, too. LOL!
I hope you know, Maria, that we absolutely do not mind you not having any pictures and we certainly understand. We didn’t want any of you going over there and getting in the kind of trouble that was being dished out, no way! You sharing your account with all of us is a delight in itself, and we thank you. Welcome back to the States! Glad you’re safely home.
(BTW… I think a “The Prince” movie premiere Cloudburst would be the Bomb-diggity. Let’s do it! Hooo-yeah!) ^@@^

[fan account] Maria’s 3rd and 4th full Rain concert experiences: ZEPP Tokyo, Shows 1 & 2. (11/25, 26)
By: Maria @Cloud USA (@TonicNY)
I am back in the US after my first ever trip to Japan which allowed me to attend Story of Rain 2013 Zepp Tour concerts (two in Osaka and two in Tokyo) and spend time seeing the beautiful sights. I was also supposed to attend one of the Fukuoka concerts, but my flight was cancelled and I wasn’t able to make it on time for the concerts.
After the last Osaka concert on 11/21 which you have already heard about, I left Osaka on Friday morning the 22nd and made a stop at the Shin Fuji station. I really wanted to see Mt Fuji, but wasn’t able to get transportation as there was quite a bit of snow closer to Mt Fuji. Was still able to take several really spectacular photos from a distance. (I will post pictures of my trip on my FB account in the next few days.)
I also made a detour to the Haneda Airport to see another spectacular view. As Rain was on his way back from Hong Kong at 1:30 pm, I decided to go and have a Rain airport sighting adventure. Waiting for him were 400-500 clouds behind a roped area and all very calmly waiting to get a glimpse of Rain. I stood to one side and I was in clear view of where he was going to walk through or so I thought. His bodyguards were waiting for him and one knew when he had arrived as they left to go greet/escort him. I had my camera ready in the hopes I could take pictures at least at the airport, only to be told by a security officer “no cameras allowed.” I had already been told by a Japanese Cloud earlier that pictures were not going to be allowed, but I was still trying my best to take at least one of my own photos of Rain. Rain walked through the area not quite where I thought but close to it, and I was able to get a quick glimpse of him as he walked by before he headed towards the area where the Clouds were. The security officer was very close to me, so I decided to respect the no pictures rule. I heard from other Clouds that on this day Rain didn’t walk as fast as he usually does. They were really happy about it.
Spent the weekend catching up with Michele and Tammy, who arrived Saturday evening, and on Sunday I finally met Naoko. She does such awesome work with all the Cloud USA videos and I was happy that I was able to tell her in person. She is a really sweet Cloud. All of us traveled together to Sendai to visit Japanese Cloud Michiko at her home. She showed us her HUGE collection of Rain goods, as she has been a long time Cloud and Rain supporter. (Michele has already blogged about this day.) It was so great that Naoko was also able to join us for the day so we could all be together.
Concert Day 11/25 and 11/26
We had to show up at the venue much earlier in the day, as instructed, in order to pick up our tickets. More Rain Zepp Tour goods were bought. Met more Clouds that I knew of only thru the social sites. For this evening at the time of entering the venue a ZEPP staff was calling all the numbers one by one, and Clouds were entering in a very orderly manner, and there was no pushing or shoving. Tickets were being checked that indeed you had that number. Once inside (for all concerts) you had to give a 500 yen coin and in exchange you got a ZEPP coin to get a drink (I saved all 4 of mine as a keepsake). Once inside if you took the time to get a drink it would take time away from getting a closer standing spot (not recommended). I placed myself at the beginning of the second section about 5-6 rows back from the stage which seemed to be my ideal spot (for all concerts) and on the left side of the stage (or Rain’s right). In Osaka I took notice Rain would go more times to that side of the stage.
I was surrounded by really friendly and happy Japanese Clouds who spoke some English and we were able to easily communicate all about Rain, of course. The room became very hot as we were all squeezed in very tight. Tuesday 11/26 was my last concert. I was able to place a gift for Rain in the designated gift box, so I am hoping he received it and read my messages.
Concert Time for 11/25 and 11/26
It got hotter as Rain appeared on stage. I continue to repeat myself but it is truly so amazing to be able to see Rain dance routines so close and watch how connected he is during his dancing and singing, and the same for his dance team, so much high energy, and they also have a lot of fun together on stage. Such a SUPERSTAR. Oh and that smile and infectious laughter, and yes those many incredible looks he has. At one point he was standing right in front of the area where I was as he was about to throw one of his towels, and it seemed like he was going to throw it to our area (wishing and hoping) but he ended up throwing it to the other side of the stage. LOL!
Rain does make really good eye contact with lots of Clouds, including the Clouds in the balcony, and on Tuesday night he came down from the stage and as soon as he did that there was such a huge Cloud shift towards the front to shake his hand. He added something new to each performance. Rain mentioned even in Tokyo he had caught a cold. His voice was beyond incredible, so extremely talented.
On Tuesday 11/26, my last concert, the two hours flew by and I started to wish that I was staying for the rest of the Tokyo concerts. I am so extremely happy that I made a decision to go to Japan. I do not have one single picture of Rain on stage. As much as I was determined to get at least one during the last concert, I decided to respect the J ZEPP rule to the end. I have memories that will last a lifetime.
Wouldn’t it be wonderful if they allowed Rain to have some concerts in USA while he is here filming (wishing and hoping again…)? Can we start thinking about a movie premiere Cloudburst or should we wait until the movie is filmed first? LOL!
On this Thanksgiving Holiday weekend, I am extremely Thankful for many reasons this year. I am very Thankful and grateful that overseas fans were able to attend these concerts as this was a dream come true for me to see Rain live in concert, and for the help I received in getting the concert tickets. Very Thankful and grateful to have had the opportunity this year to have met some of the most loving, loyal and supportive Rain Clouds out there in the world.
Looking forward to becoming a 9th Cloud member to show and share my continued love and support for our WORLD STAR RAIN!
Hugs to you all,
Maria

You mean to tell me that even after all the investigating and re-investigating during what I called MassageParlor-gate, which Rain suffered for but had no involvement in, an “ordinary” citizen with a chip on his shoulder and nothing better to do got up out of his La-Z-Boy recliner and has sued Rain for violating military law because of another soldier’s scandal?
Really?
If I’m reading this correctly, “Ordinary Person A” watched SBS’s three-part headhunting exposé on celebrity soldiers at the end of June and on into July, saw the soldiers who had infractions get thrown into the brig, and was upset because Rain didn’t get punished, regardless of Rain not doing anything to get punished for. (How dare you, Rain? How dare you stay out of trouble like you promised, since your witch hunt? O_o) He took his complaint to the cops. The cops have turned it over to the prosecutor, after determining there was nothing for them to act on.
What the hell are they smoking over there?
This isn’t the same jerk who begged a radio station to convince Kim TaeHee to drop Rain and be his woman instead, is it? Just wondering. (Better yet, what covert shenanigans are going on behind the scenes elsewhere in the “gumment” while this utter nonsense is keeping people distracted? Hm?)
How is this even allowed? Especially if Mr. Citizen is also trying to make flap about Rain’s January scandal? (Isn’t that double jeopardy here and in South Korea?) For Pete’s sake, Rain admitted to those 3 infractions, was punished for them according to what was allowable by military law, and was dragged back and forth over broken glass and hot coals by the friggin’ country for months as if he was gunrunning for the North instead of a soldier without his hat. As a celebrity with a target on his back, he paid dearly for what he did and always will, if the South Korean media has any say in the matter. But that ain’t enough, I reckon. *sarcasm*
I’ll bet if people had to put on their big boy/girl pants and use their names and actually face the public and who they were accusing instead of conveniently hiding behind A, B, and C, the courts would have a lot less bullshi* to wade through. (That does not apply when you’re sticking it to the Mafia or some crime lord, of course.)
The PR celebrity soldier unit of the ROK Army is dead and gone. KEEP CALM, Angry Populace, put down your picket signs and move on with your lives now. Is it really that hard to stop kicking Rain for not only his mistakes, but for the mistakes of every other soldier who’s ever lived?
It’s good to see the military saying if they have to restate their position on Rain leaving cleanly, they will. They can’t be very pleased with this “ordinary” citizen guy. But that’s what happens when you put your business out in the street instead of circling the wagons, fixing the problem internally, and telling folks to butt out. What do you think will happen if you grow a spine, the military get fired? Not with Kim Crazy Dude just waiting to come over the border.
Haven’t we been saying, since 2010, the second anything good happens to Rain in the press, someone will always counteract it with a negative story within days? You didn’t think that Hollywood movie news about “The Prince” was going to be an exception did you? Nah. This lovely turd nugget of a story about “Ordinary Person A” happened in August but didn’t break until yesterday. And why is that? Simple. Thanks to SBS and the Media, Rain’s name was still mud back in August, despite his 8 months of good behavior (plus 13 months of good behavior before December 2012) and July discharge. They were still intentionally associating his name with Se7en’s scandal and the dissolution of the PR unit. More bad news wouldn’t have been as effective then. But waaaaay at the end of November, after 3 months of Rain doing well, still popular, and a day after news of his third Hollywood movie role with huge American stars… perfect. LOL, how much more obvious could you be.
You couldn’t pay me to be a celebrity in Korea in this day and time. I’d rather scrub I-285 clean with a toothbrush.

There is not any hitch in both Rain’s reality show in December and his comeback with a new album next year, despite a judicial dispute.
Singer Rain (aged 30, his real name is Jung Ji-hoon) is going to have a comeback performance through Mnet TV’s reality program before next January 6th’s scheduled official comeback with his new album. The plan for Rain’s having a comeback performance is expected to go ahead regardless of being accused of neglecting his duties in the army by ordinary person A.
Rain broke the news of his next January 6th’s comeback while performing in special highlights at 2013 MAMA held in Hong Kong’s Asia World Expo Arena last 22nd. He’ll be returning to the stage with his self-titled album four years after his enlistment in 2010.
Mnet TV will also organize a reality program about Rain’s daily living and about the process of his preparation for the comeback. Fans have been more exited by the anticipation of his comeback to the stage since they saw a clip from the program. The program organization has not yet been settled, but the program will be aired in the middle of next month or at the end of next month, before the release of his new album.
But, Rain has fallen into an ambush by being accused of neglecting his duties in the army by ordinary person A, and the case is presently being investigated by South Korean prosecutor’s 8th Detective Department.
However, Mnet and Rain’s agency have intimated that the court case will not cause any problems with his schedule for the comeback, venturing an opinion, “Rain was discharged from the army after he was placed under probation after the Defense Ministry’s investigation. For this reason, it seems to be impossible for him to additionally receive a criminal conviction.”
Rain started his military life after his enlistment at 305 Supplement in Uijeongbu City on 11 October 2011. The next February 24, the Defense Ministry assigned him the task of serving as an entertainment soldier, but he was spotted dating actress ‘Kim Tae-hee’ last January, which led him to face probation by violating military laws.
Afterwards, his minor outing and staying out were also subjects of considerable debate, but he was discharged from the army last July 10th without having severe penalty to deal with when the controversy over entertainment soldiers surfaced last June.
A, an ordinary person, who watched SBS’s Eyewitnesser21 satirizing the reality of entertainment soldiers, is known to have sued Rain for going unpunished.
In addition to his new album release and his appearance on the reality program, Rain will return to the big screen with his new film ‘the Prince’ where Bruce Willis, John Cusack, etc. join.

Daily Sports 11/28/2013 —
Defense Ministry reconfirmed, “There wasn’t any problem at all regarding our investigation on Rain’s military law violations.”
The Defense Ministry side has reconfirmed the position regarding Rain who is currently going to be under investigation by the public prosecutor’s office, saying, “At that time, there wasn’t any problem at all regarding the Defense Ministry’s investigation on Rain’s military law violations.”
In a telephone call with Daily Sports on the 28th, the Defense Ministry officials said, “Rain was held in disciplinary confinement for violation of four military laws during his entertainment soldier days. It was not a situation that he could have had other severe penalties to deal with.”
Rain normally left the army on July 10th after being put on his good behavior before his discharge. His meeting privately with his lover ‘Kim Tae Hee’ while off the base for official military duties became a problem, but it did not lead him to have other severe penalties to deal with. But more than four months later, South Korean prosecutor’s 8th Detective Department has decided to conduct investigation into that case on complaint of Mr.ㄱ, an ordinary person.
In reply, the Defense Ministry side said, “At the time, the investigation and punishment were legally completed and that’s why Rain was normally able to be discharged. If we have to clarify our position after watching how the prosecution’s investigation is ongoing, we will do it.”
Rain had served as an entertainment soldier since he was transferred to the service support troop in the Defense Ministry after he served as an assistant instructor in the 5th Division after his enlistment in October, 2011.

KDramaStars 11/23/2013 — by Joan MacDonald
It should be recorded that 2013 was the year that kdrama and its actors officially crossed over into America. The number of international kdrama viewers on sites such as DramaFever, hulu.com and viki.com continue to grow dramatically and American entertainment companies are paying attention.
Kdrama stars are being courted by Hollywood, kdramas are being co-produced by U.S.-based companies and American companies are remaking some kdramas.
Let’s start out with the migration of kdrama actors, the most famous of which are Lee Byung Hun and singer-actor Rain. Lee Byung Hun, the star of “Iris,” appeared in two Hollywood blockbusters this year. He had roles in “Red 2” with such top actors as Bruce Willis and Helen Mirren, and before that he appeared in “G.I. Joe” Retaliation.”
After “Red 2” filming ended Willis had nothing but praise for his Korean co-star’s dedication and skills.
Rain was also recently cast in a Bruce Willis film, “The Prince.” According to his agency, Cube DC, the “Full House” star will join Willis, John Cusak and 50 Cent in the action thriller. He will play Willis’s friend Mark.
Actress Ha Ji Won is also signed with Hollywood talent agency UTA and plans a Hollywood project this year after she finishes filming “Empress Ki.” And what about Lee Min Ho? Hollywood has expressed interest. After he works on his English a while longer, he may head west too.
But it’s not just the stars that are being courted by Hollywood. American producers are increasingly curious about the appeal of kdramas.
This year, American television station ABC announced they would produce an American version of the Korean cable drama “Nine.” “Lost” alumni Yunjin Kim, who has appeared in several kdramas, will be the show’s producer.
An American company has also cast an American production of “Boys Over Flowers,” setting the drama at an American college. While this drama, based on the Japanese manga “Hana Yori Dango,” has Japanese and Taiwanese versions, it was the Korean version that first brought it to the attention of American producers.
This year also marked the first production collaboration on a kdrama between an American company and a Korean company. Hwa and Dam Pictures collaborated with the U.S.-based company DramaFever to co-produce “The Heirs,” starring Lee Min Ho and Park Shin Hye. That star-studded drama is a ratings success and the ratings make it likely that more such productions will take place in the future.

Remember back in October 11, 2010 (a year to the day that Rain enlisted for mandatory military duty) when William Choi—the man then in charge of Rain’s U.S. management as an actor at Management 360 in Beverly Hills—said in an interview in the Herald Economy News that “We aren’t concerned about the two-year interval when Rain will be away in the military,” and “The late Frank Sinatra began his career as a singer and made it big as an actor, and because of that, Sinatra is a good role model for Rain,” AND also revealed the strategy that he thought would put Rain in high demand: “It may be good for Rain to star alone in a movie like Ninja Assassin, but for now, I think it would be better for him to co-star in action films with three or four other Hollywood stars….” ?
Well. There you go. An action film with an ensemble cast of Hollywood stars. As the “Fugitive” JiWoo would say, “Bingo! Halleluia.”
Cinema Blend is claiming that production begins next week in Mobile, Alabama. If so, looks like a certain Korean is going to be knee-deep in fried chicken, pork chops, grits, and Waffle House because that’s how we rollz in the Deep South. LOL! 😉

From CL joining Icona Pop’s girl power to Crayon Pop and Ylvis teaming for onstage antics, here’s five must-see MAMA performances.
[Excerpt]
4. Rain Makes a Grand Return
Veteran K-pop star Rain — who just completed his two-year South Korean military service [back in July] — used the MAMAs to signal his comeback to the Asian music scene. The 31-year-old began by staring into the screaming audience, smiled and put on a pair of sunglasses before nailing live renditions of singles like ’03 R&B track “How to Avoid the Sun” and dance tracks “It’s Raining” and “Hip Song.” Look out for several excited idol groups enthusiasm caught on tape including girl groups 2NE1 and Apink.

Well, my word! Kim Hosang, one of Rain’s band mates from their late 1990’s teen group FanClub, saying something about having “not seen JiHun for a long time.” This Tweet was just discovered, but looks like Hosang posted it back on October 14.

Staff writer Michele, YouTube moderator Naoko (harudoful), and CloudUSAers Tammy and Maria, and lovely Japanese Cloud Michiko all brought together in Japan because of one man — Rain.
Just like the rain that falls from the sky, he helps the roots of relationships grow and anchor firmly in the soil, and brings Clouds together even in bright sunlight. Sometimes the smallest things are the catalyst to making the world a better place.

Just a quick post before the Rain begins to fall! Today, Cloud USA-ers Toni Cammarota, Tammy Harriel and I met with Japan Clouds, Naoko Yamanaka and Michiko Ikeda at Michiko’s beautiful home in Sendai for some food, some laughs and some majah drool-over-Michiko’s Rain collection. Yes. Yes they do. And below you will find plenty of proof of that. Suddenly, I’m reminded of EXO’s “Growl,” which starts with: “Yo. Okay. Sexy.”
Whaaaat? You haven’t heard “Growl?” Where the heck have you been? This amazing boy group’s first album won the Album of the Year award at MAMA2013. Enjoy.

I’m warning you just in case (listen carefully)
It’s dangerous now (so dangerous)
Stop provoking me (there’s going to be trouble)
I don’t even know myself
My breath keeps on stopping
You walk towards me
You smile at me
Maybe you’re attracted to me too
My sights become dark
When you stare at me
The sound of your breathing
You’re the one that makes me crazy
So nobody can look at you (when you smile)
I want to hide you inside my embrace (I’m so serious)
The stares that are after you
Wakes up inside me
There’s a harsh/fierce swirl/storm
CHORUS:
A dark shadow has woken up inside of me
Sparks fly in my eyes as I look at you
Everyone step away from her (step away)
It’s going to get fierce from now on
I’m growling, growling, growling
I’m growling, growling, growling
I’m growling, growling, growling
If you don’t back away then I don’t care if you get hurt*
With agitated stare and cutting tension
I’m searching your surroundings
You just stay still and look at me
I’ll never let you go you’ll see
The stares that are seeking you who’s vividly shining in the blurry space
The sound of the alarm is ringing in me
CHORUS*
E X O
Just in case another wolf looks at you
Because my girl is too perfect
I hold you softly within me [OR] I embrace you softly
I become violent just for you
Only the strong one gets the beautiful woman
Just go back because there’s no place
You have zero chance
Stop looking you’re going to wear her out
If you desire her you have to win against me first
Let’s erase everyone one by one except us
Paused as if only you and I exist here
CHORUS*
I’m growling, growling, growling
I’m growling, growling, growling
I’m growling, growling, growling
If you don’t back away then I don’t care if you get hurt

When I was watching the 2013 MAMA Red Carpet live and saw Kim JongKook (one of my favs!) get out of his car and walk down the Carpet so suave, I wasn’t expecting to see him and so I had to fan-girl just a tad, just a little. 🙂 And all I could think of was back when he and Rain used to battle against each other all the time on Family Outing and other variety shows. Hilarious memories! And I’m really happy to see this pic of Rain and KJK (with Ellen Park) at the 2013 MAMA after-party. ♥ ♥ — S.^@@^ (Image credit: ellenjwpark @Instagram, 11/23/2013)

More from the MAMA after-party: 黎曉靈 Kimmy (Li Xiaoling Kimmy) and Rain. As far as I can tell, she is the founder of an international music foundation, is well known in those circles and seems to be a pretty nice person. Among her list of face to face friends: Han YeSeul, PSY, Paris Hilton (she and Paris just went shopping this past week before the MAMAs, and I do believe that is her and Paris in her Weibo icon), American designer Anna Sui, etc. On her Weibo, where she posted this picture, she describes Rain as a real gentleman. I appreciate that. 🙂 — S^@@^ [Image credit: 黎曉靈 Kimmy @weibo / 星島日報 (Sing Tao Daily newspaper).]

KpopStarz 11/23/2013 — By Adrienne Stanley
When Rain (Jung Ji Hoon) took the stage at the 2013 MAMA, he established that he is still one of the leading stars of K-Pop. Having completed his military service, which was marred by some controversy, Rain is ready to make a strong comeback. He is one of the leading figures of the Hallyu Wave, having released five full Korean studio albums, starred in two American films, and acted in the popular Korean drama, Full House. His crossover from music into drama and film set the precedent for K-Pop idols training. With a career that began in 2002, Rain has a legendary musical catalog.

Rain made his debut in 2002 with the JYP Entertainment album, n001. In support of his debut album, Rain released the singles Bad Guy and Handshake.

Pop Buzz! 11/23/2013 — by Lashonda
If you only learned one thing from watching the 2013 MAMA (Mnet Asian Music Awards) in Hong Kong this week, it’s that RAIN FALLS AGAIN.
Since exiting the military in early July, the world renown singer, actor, and entrepreneur- Bi Rain has been busy back in the studio. One insider said, “He’s getting ready for his comeback, and looking for artists to feature [in his album]. There are many artists scheduled to make a comeback in January next year, but Rain’s new album will be the first since his discharge [from the military], thus it’s become the most anticipated album and the most focused-on by popular music insiders.”
But then again, this is no regular comeback. This is the global charting, Ninja Assassin star, US People Magazine top 100 Sexiest People -R A I N.
Need I say more?
Prepare an umbrella for January 6, 2014.
Here are 12 images of Rain from 2013 MAMA performance in Hong Kong. You may scream now….

[fan account] Maria’s second full Rain concert experience: ZEPP Namba (Osaka), Show #2. (11/21)
By: Maria @Cloud USA (@TonicNY)
Concert #2 on 11/21/13 – ZEPP Osaka
Before concert:
While in line meeting other Japanese Clouds, I had noticed there was a professional cameraman in the area. I was trying to hide as much as possible and I was happy that they were interviewing other Clouds, and then I understood the word “American.” Before I could even try to run away, the bright light of the camera was blinding me. (I much prefer being behind the camera than in front of it.)
I do remember saying “CloudUSA loves Rain.” I do not know if it was from Rain’s crew filming or if it was a Japanese TV station.
Our ticket numbers were higher for this night’s concert, so it took some time to get in and Clouds were running to get in at that point. I was pleasantly surprised that we still found some really close to stage standing areas. Next to us was Luna Luna, who has created many beautiful videos, and through a translator she wanted me to relay the message that she appreciates CloudUSA posting the videos and all the views and comments on her videos, but she doesn’t reply due to the language.^^
It is such a great feeling to be able to meet and talk to other Clouds when one only knows of them online through the fan sites. Even if communication is limited, we all have one thing in common—our love and support for Rain. No translation needed!
During concert:
Rain’s singing voice and dance moves were top notch, he is a SUPERSTAR.
I have always really loved “Familiar Face”, and to hear him sing it live is amazing. I love the emotions he conveys. My list of favorite songs is long and he sings pretty much all of them. The screams of the Clouds is beyond deafening for sexy Rain’s moves and when he unzips his leather jacket and has no shirt underneath. 🙂
On this night we were further back. My friend and I like to think he looked straight at us a couple of times, and probably so did the Clouds all around (that he looked at them). Nothing wrong being fangirly. 🙂 Rain mentioned that he was very happy singing and touring again. He was very engaging with fans, touching hands and waving. Rain and the Fabulous Ones have such positive energy together. They are a perfect match.
I saw the same camera man (that I had seen earlier outside) filming the whole concert. I’m wondering if possibly there will eventually be a Zepp Japan tour DVD… !
After the concert:
About nine of us went to have dinner at a Korean restaurant which Rain had been to the last time he was in Japan. This was my first time eating Korean food, and it was delicious. There were 2 Clouds who kept translating conversations and it felt like being with friends that I have known for a long time. The warm welcome I have received touches my heart. I have such great memories that will last a lifetime.
I am already looking forward to the first Tokyo concert on Monday. I’m glad that Rain will be able to rest for a day or two (at least I hope it is a rest for him). Tuesday will be my last concert.
— Maria

From Stephe’s desk: Old, repetitive, reconstituted rehash. They just can’t live without it. LOL!
•November 29, 2013 • 4 CommentsBreaking military dress code? He had his hat off once while everyone else—including the top Brass—made not wearing their hat a daily ritual without consequences or punishment. Not wearing one’s hat was not a punishable offense until Rain needed to be punished for something, to appease the public.
Disciplined for frequently taking breaks? 1) He was off-post on a music assignment with the permission of his superiors without being provided the necessary escort or proper transportation, and within a 2-week period of a 640-day mandatory service, caught 3 rides back to post with his lady.
He didn’t do that because he’s a celebrity. He did it because he’s a MAN. Any soldier would do the same thing (and has), given half a chance. Don’t front. You know it.
2) He did not take more off-days than allotted to him, and all of his records to that effect were in order. Not that anyone gave a damn, or that media (like you) cared to print the truth. Yonhap News is one of the worse perpetrators ever and probably always will be. Still claiming 71 days when their own government cleared the matter up ages ago, and knowing that many news organizations use them as a “reliable source.” There’s a special place in Bottom Feeder Hell reserved especially for them. ROFL!
And now all of this old repetitive, reconstituted rehash has started up again because the Media just can’t seem to live without the high ratings it brings out there in Media Land, LOL. And because of some faceless douche who has nothing better to do.
But, to your credit, Korea Times, I will give you BIG Thumbs UP points for this:
Wow. I had to read that twice. Getting the Media to print anything remotely like the truth about Rain is like pulling teeth. Heh.
Hang in there, Rain. It’s going to be okay. Somehow, some way. (What I am talking about? If there’s anything Jung JiHoon is not, it’s a quitter.) 🙂
