Guess who mentioned Rain during her MBC/Ninja Turtles interview today?

Megan Fox! She up and tickled me to death! I luuurve her interview, and I’ll tell you why.

Firstly. Not many actresses across the planet forget our Magic Feet once he comes across their radar, ya know, especially when they’re being interviewed for a Korean entertainment show. I would be surprised if she had mentioned anyone else, quite frankly.

Secondly. Once Raizo’s abs are burned into your memory, they will not un-burn. They are with you 4Life.

Thirdly. She squashed any folderol/tomfoolery/utter stupidity that might blow up just because she dared mention Rain (like it did years ago when she dared mention Rain). For some reason, you can’t say someone is your ideal, or that you’d like to work with them, or mention how handsome or beautiful they are, without the Media grabbing the ball and inflating stuff. Which results in the general public and haters believing everything the Media says and freaking out on you as if you were talking about jumping into the other person’s bed (which you were not). I didn’t understand that kind of thinking then, and I still don’t now.

There’s nothing wrong with her or any American actress giving him a doggone compliment.

Frankly, she has good taste.

…that he appreciates all the Cloud love on the set, but for the sake of the production (and crew and staff trying so hard to do good work), please support “My Loveable Girl” when it comes on the air in September instead. Personally, I can only imagine how hard it must be to concentrate on lines and remember your cues and act realistically when you’re being completely distracted by fans. Acting ain’t all glamor, the way it looks to us from the outside. It’s hard work that’s easy to screw up when you’re not on your game, so I hope Clouds will please do as Rain asks without letting it hurt their feelings. He only wants to do a good job and not compromise the success of the drama. It needs to do well!

The CNN article below also talks about other Catholic celebs who are being affected by the visit, like figure-skating queen Kim Yuna.

And of course, they also talked about Rain’s recent baptism into the Catholic faith.

(Hmm… looking at this video and the gentle message it gives, and the vibe of hope and love that it conveys, it boggles my mind that Director Cha Eun-taek also did PSY and Snoop Dogg’s “Hangover.” Just sayin. LOL~)

It’s good to know that TaeHee can sing, which doesn’t surprise me in the least. I didn’t know WooBin could sing—I need to get with the times. I didn’t know that so many South Koreans were converting to Catholicism. Very interesting.

All in all, this is a good article, and a music project well done. 🙂

Seoul (CNN) — What could bring together the biggest names in the Korean pop industry? A visit by the Pope will do it.

As Pope Francis tours South Korea through August 18, some 20 Korean household names got together to record a video for a song titled “Koinonia,” which means camaraderie and communion in Greek. It was composed by K-pop veteran Noh Young-shim to celebrate the first papal visit to Korea in 25 years…

…The number of Catholics in Korea continues to grow, with roughly 100,000 baptisms per year. The baptism du jour is that of pop star Rain (aka. Jung Ji-hoon) in July. Local media widely reported that his actress girlfriend Kim Tae-hee inspired the conversion, and the celebrity rumor mill spelled an impending marriage.

Rain’s agency Cube Entertainment has rejected the claim: “Rain has indeed been baptized, but this is something he has been meaning to do for some time now. It would be rash to make assumptions about engagement plans.”

We were happy as punch with our first one, but then our forum host was sold to another company last year and things simply weren’t the same when it came to usability or looks. I’m just being honest here—we weren’t happy, and neither were our moderators. *sigh*

Rain, f(x) Krystal, Infinite L, and More Gather for First Script Reading for ‘My Lovable Girl’

With talented actors coming into one room, SBS’ My Lovable Girl kicked off its production process with its first script reading.

The script reading took place early August at the Ilsan production center, where director Park Hyung Gi and writer Noh Ji Seol, along with the cast, Rain, f(x)’s Krystal, Infinite’s L and Hoya, Park Young Gyu, Kim Hye Eun, Cha Ye Ryun, and more gathered.

It began with the director and writer saying a few words, encouraging everyone to do their best to create a good production.

Representing the actors, veteran actor Park Young Gyu stated, “It’s an honor to be with a good director, good writer, and good actors.”

Saying that his onscreen son, Hyun Wook (Rain) became a songwriter due to his talents, Park Young Gyu began to belt out three songs, earning the applause from the staff and cast.

The script reading carried on with the actors comfortably and passionately delivering their lines to each other with no problem.

Meanwhile, My Lovable Girl is about a girl named Se Na, who dreams of doing music, and a secretive man named Hyun Wook. It begins on September 17 following It’s Okay, It’s Love.

Alex to join the cast of “She’s So Lovable To Me”!

It has been confirmed on the 7th that Clazziquai’s Alex will join the cast!

A representative of Alex revealed to Donga, “Alex will be playing the role of a friend and helper of Jung Jihoon’s character. It has only been confirmed that he will be cast, but the details of the filming [have] not yet been decided.”

The cast of “She’s So Lovable To Me” has been already receiving high attention for it’s cast lineup, which will include more singer-turned actors including, Jung Jihoon (Rain), Kim Myungsoo (Infinite’s L), Lee Howon (Infinite’s Hoya), and Jung Soojung (f(x)’s Krystal).

Also a fellow singer-turned-actor, Alex debuted as a member of Clazziquai in 2004 which recently came back with two singles, “Love Satellite”, and “Madly.” Clazziquai is also planning to be release their 6th full album to celebrate their 10th anniversary in the upcoming months.

As for the drama, “She’s So Lovable To Me” will be about an entertainment company known to be Korea’s best, AnA, and how a girl with big dreams, Sena, which will played by Krystal, and Hyunwook, played by Rain, achieve their dreams and fall in love.

Rain’s appearance at the Lotte Family Concert in Seoul in October 2008 (when he had finished filming Ninja Assassin, cut his hair, and released “Rainism” successfully as his new #1 jam) has always been one of my very favorite performances by this man. He was decked out in his SixToFive fashion and had missed being on the comeback stage as a singer tremendously. You could tell that by the way he ad-libbed his choreography deliciously, not to mention the way he threw every part of his body into every move and worked up an unbelievable sweat. His hair had a mind of its own. And he still had some of that Raizo muscle. Whew! @__@

I know that I have Blasted parts of the performance during the past four years, but I’ve never Blasted the whole thing together. It will never ever get old, at least not for me. Mercy!

Krystal of girl group f(x) will co-star in MBC’s upcoming television series “My Lovely Girl” with singer-actor Rain, a local media outlet reported on Monday.

Krystal was confirmed for the romantic drama’s female lead, Sena, who dreams of becoming a top music producer. She is 12 years younger than Rain.

The broadcaster reportedly said, “We agreed that (Krystal) in fact would fit Sena’s role. She is chic, pure and strong-willed, which are all required for the role.”

The fact that the drama takes place in an entertainment label was also taken into consideration, they added.

When K-pop star and Hollywood actor Rain first signaled his return to the acting scene through “My Lovely Girl,” the big question was who will snatch the heroine’s part?

After Krystal was notified of the casting news, she reportedly said, “I can’t believe I will be on the same drama with Ji-hoon oppa (Rain). I never thought this would happen.”

Infinite’s L and Hoya have been confirmed for drama My Lovely Girl.

On August 5, A Story, the production company of SBS’s My Lovely Girl, announced, “L and Hoya have been confirmed to appear in My Lovely Girl, acting as the members of group ‘Infinite Power.’”

L will be acting as ‘Si Woo,’ the most popular member of a hallyu group ‘Infinite Power,’ who takes the center position in the group and shows off his charisma on stage but tends to get cross easily.

Hoya will be acting as another member of Infinite Power ‘Rae Hun,’ who is a talented rapper in the group.

Infinite’s L started acting in 2012 through tvN’s Shut Up Flower Boy Band, continuing his acting career through SBS’s Master’s Sun and MBC’s Cunning Single Lady. Hoya has also starred in tvN’s Reply 1997 in 2012, leaving a firm impression on the viewers.

My Lovely Girl is a romance drama setting Korea’s top entertainment agency AnA as the background. It will tell the love story of a girl named Se Na who is full of dreams and a secretive man named Hyun Wook.

It is set to air on September 17.

f(x)’s Krystal Confirmed to Act Opposite Rain in Drama ‘My Lovable Girl’

F(x)’s Krystal has been cast as the lead of an upcoming drama My Lovable Girl.

Already hyped as Rain’s comeback drama, SBS’s My Lovable Girl has confirmed casting Krystal as the lead actress.

Having started her acting career through MBC’s sitcom in 2010, Krystal has acted in various projects since then, including in MBC’s High Kick in 2011 and SBS’s The Heirs in 2013, proving her acting abilities.

After going through many discussions and profiles, the production team reportedly found Krystal to stand out with her chic but pure image, naturally reminding them of ‘Se Na,’ the lead character.

The fact that the drama set K-pop world as the background also played a role in casting Krystal, as the role requires acting ability as well as musical skills.

Taking her first lead role in a drama, Krystal shared, “I can’t believe that I will be on the same stage as Ji Hoon oppa (Rain). I really didn’t even imagine that a moment like this will ever come.”

Meanwhile, My Lovable Girl is about ‘Se Na’ who comes to Seoul to become a singer, following her sister’s sudden death, and falls in love with Hyun Wook (Rain). The girl who scarred Hyun Wook after getting into a car accident is Se Na′s sister.

Krystal said, “I was attracted to the storyline as soon as I saw it. It was also interesting that it sets the musical industry as the background. I would like to depict ‘Se Na,’ who overcomes all kinds of difficulties, falls miraculously in love and achieves her dream in music, in a heart touching and lovely way.”

The drama is set to air on September 17, following It’s Okay, It’s Love.

INFINITE member L will be appearing on SBS’ upcoming drama “My Lovely Girl,” which is scheduled to air its first episode in September.

According to a broadcast official on July 30, L recently confirmed his casting in this new drama, seeking to establish his position as an “acting idol.”

The INFINITE member will take on the role of a ‘flower boy’ singer in this drama’s storyline. It appears that many different singers will make appearances on “My Lovely Girl,” however, L is expected to play a pivotal role with a large part.

Previously, L has played So Ji Sub’s younger counterpart in SBS’ “Master’s Sun,” as well as the role of an erratic secretary in MBC’s “Cunning Single Lady,” leaving an impression on viewers.

Singer and actor Rain is also making his return to the small screen through this drama as the male lead character—an entertainment agency president named Hyun Wook.

You can look forward to “My Lovely Girl,” which will begin airing on September 17, after the completion of “It’s Okay, It’s Love.”
