Rain Becomes New Model of YSL in Chinese Speaking Countries
Singer and actor Rain has been selected to be the model of L’Oreal Group’s representative cosmetics brand Yves Saint Laurent in Chinese speaking areas.
Well known for his charming lips, he has been chosen as the new face of Yves Saint Laurent’s bestseller ‘YSL Dangerous Rouge.’
It has been reported that Rain has been chosen as the male model of YSL, which will largely be targeting the Asian market, for his intense image that appeals to female fans and his singing and acting activities throughout Chinese speaking countries, as an entertainer representing Hallyu. His successful activities in movies and dramas, following his successful completion of a concert in China, have also added to the reason he was selected, as they have added romantic and sexy charms to his image, increasing his popularity in America, Europe and Asia.
An affiliate of YSL stated, “This year’s YSL Danger Red has the concept of passion, temptation, love and desire and Rain’s trendy image which includes both strength and softness perfectly matched the concept. In addition, Rain has gained recognition for his powerful performances and outstanding acting ability, gaining success in various fields and becoming a long-lasting global star, so he has been selected as YSL’s new model.”
Meanwhile, Rain has been traveling between China, Korea and Belgium to film the Chinese drama Diamond Lover.
