2) The way he fearlessly danced down that 45°+ moving incline as it slid towards the floor, betting his life on only a harness… wow. Talk about putting your trust in something! That was a long way to fall, brutha. Here’s a fan cam at the top of the incline, where you can see the line holding Rain as he stepped out pretty much into thin air. I about passed out. You are The Man, 비. Much respect! Good lord!

Lee Jae Jin, a member of veteran K-Pop group SechsKies (they just had a reunion concert after 16 years, wow!) posted an awesome video from August 1998 — his group and Rain’s former boy band FanClub on an MBC broadcast! 1) The stage lighting was spot on. From that first shot, he looked positively angelic, with some kind of aura about him.
2) This was during the time Rain was making a successful comeback with new mini-album Back To The Basic, and there was a while between the advertisement and the actual show, so by the time it aired, we were really ready to see it.
3) We got to see “Hip Song” done in “Love Song” attire. Something you don’t see. And that Atlanta bling ball cap.

Rain has filmed an episode of 奔跑吧兄弟 [translation: Hurry Up, Brother], the Chinese version of Running Man on Zhejiang TV, in a prefecture waaaaay down in the extreme south of Yunnan Province. As far as I know, the episode has not aired yet. As far as I can tell, they broadcast every Friday and Episode 4 was this season’s most recent.
Fingers crossed that we’ll get to watch it! 🙂 ^@@^

[Fan account] The Squall Chengdu concert surprise event, 4/23/2016

On behalf of Rain’s world clouds, we organized a surprise event for Rain at the Squall Chendgu concert on 23 April, 2016. We arranged two large banners, one in Korean to congratulate Rain’s 14 debut anniversary.
The other one says: Forever Rain Forever Clouds.
We also printed 6000 pickets, using Lee Hae Joon’s dialect at Come Back Alive and written in Korean : thank you for these 14 years.
This was planned as a surprise event. We wanted all the audience to show this picket to Rain when the screen played his biography video.
The banners were hung inside the stadium and the pickets were distributed in advance on the seats of all the audience. We were particularly grateful to Rain Company, who helped us liaise with the concert director, and helped us announce the timing of showing the picket to all the audience…

I’ve always admitted that, even though Rain hypnotizes the heck out of me when singing in his native Korean tongue, when he sings in Japanese, every endorphin in my nervous system melts down like a nuclear reactor. Don’t know why. Can’t figure it out. ❤ It is what it is! Under those circumstances, it’s waaaay past time for me to share with y’all the 15 songs Rain sings in Japanese and English — that I know of — in the order I like them.
I’d love for you to share your favs, too. 🙂
FINALLY! In my #1 spot: The Japanese version of “Love Song”, on his Back To The Basic (2010) mini album’s Japanese edition. *yassssssssssss*
I remember waiting with bated breath, along with everyone else, for fan cams from Rain’s first ZEPP Japan tour back in the summer of 2010. It was such an exciting time and he was his usual workaholic self — winning MTV’s very first Biggest Badass Star Award in Los Angeles, filming The Fugitive: Plan B, doing the ZEPP concert tour, making CFs for the new “Rain” phone for sponsor SK Telesys, etc. When the videos started trickling in, they were awesome. And I was floored because Rain sang “Love Song” completely in Japanese.
Now, I understand he that he recorded it in that language for Back To The Basic‘s Japanese edition, but come on. There’s a world of difference between recording a song in a booth (where you can have notes if you need them) and singing it live in front of native speakers when it’s not your native language…
