WOW! This is even more amazing because she probably had to make her own pattern before she even started the embroidering, which took some doing. Calvin Klein Rain embroidery by crafter Mis AOI.

[Rain] &[KCM] : Rain& KCM’s “The Desire To Speed”!
[Rain] : When someone had a tummy ache in his childhood day, he or she wouldn’t be sick anymore and would be already fast asleep while his or her mother passed her hand over his or her stomach. I bet we all have experienced that feeling. I hope you’ll enjoy “The Desire To Speed” with such peace of mind again today.
[Rain] : They say it is scientifically proven that mothers’ hands are capable of healing. Mental communication with mothers in early childhood provides children with emotional stability and helps children feel better.
[KCM] : Not only mothers’ hands but also friends’ or lovers’ hands seem to be capable of healing sometimes.
[Rain] : Since I am my own master throughout heaven and earth, my friends’ help is superfluous. (laughs) (I work so well that their help is superfluous.) KCM and I have caught a cold due to our busy schedule. We’re overloaded with work these days, but it can’t be helped because we’re soldiers.

[Rain]&[KCM]’s “The Desire To Speed”!
0:18~0:21
[Rain] : For someone who is in love, his or her love affair can either lift or demolish how he or she feels about it, which means his or her body feels alive. Likewise, “The Desire To Speed” is enough to carry our listeners.
1:27~3:55
[Rain] : It was Daybreak’s song about a love affair. The more we learn about the love, the more preposterous and mysterious it is likely to appear, but declaring our love by gathering heart, can make us feel better.
[KCM] : Likewise, we hope our listeners will enjoy this show with a peace of mind today.

OMG, LOL! This performance still has me in stitches. Let me break it down for you.
Hip Song. Right off the bat, Mr. Red Hat (whose name has been omitted to protect the innocent) immediately adds his own brand of choreography into the mix to spice things up. LOL! Matter of fact, he did that through the whole song, kind of wandered around. LOL! Truthfully, everybody (including Rain) looked a bit wilted and limp. Was it because of the heat? (Gori looked like he was going to flat pass out.) Did some of the crew have to fly in, and got jet-lagged? Were people hung over? Or was this just one of those “If we have to do Hip Song one more time, we’re gonna die” moments? You be the judge. 🙂 (credit: reuniify @YT)
Let’s look at that from another angle. *chuckle* (credit: TypeB345 @YT)
Gratuitous Rain. This right here is just CUTE. ^^ (credit: Choi Ashley @YT)
Try not to laugh, Rain. He really is good. *chuckle* (credit: reuniify @YT)
A moment with Rain, actor Yoo Gun, and a third entertainment troop mate. Hey, Gun (on Rain’s right and our left), isn’t it about time for your handsome self to be discharged? Seems like it! (credit: reuniify @YT)
It’s Raining. Well, looks like there was some effort to put some spring back into their steps (SooBong was hitting his choreography hard, though he really had the giggles, gee, I wonder why). Rain’s already large chest has gotten noticeably larger in the past four months, at least to my eyes, and seemed he was more than happy to make sure we noticed by chest-popping and profile-rolling and looking down at it every chance he got. Heheh. ♥ SangQ Mr. Red Hat was still in rare form, making s**t up, doing his own thing and grinning madly to where, after an earlier warning, Rain ran out of patience and just shoved the hell out of him. “Dude, get the hell ON.” ROFLMAO! Of course none of them could stop laughing after that. (credit: reuniify @YT)
Let’s look at that from another angle. *cracking up so hard, I’m crying* (credit: TypeB345 @YT / rainist327 @YT)
And there you have it. I would love to have been a fly on the wall backstage.
It’s so much fun to have a good ol’ hilarious, unpredictable performance once in a while. Thumbs up. 🙂
What a great-looking poster. It would be even greater if we knew what it was for. (Sorry folks, two particular syllables in that font are simply a b!tch to read.) (Image: credited as tagged)

Loyalty! This is pfc “Jung Ji Hoon” (Rain) attached to Defense Agency for Public Information Services. Nice to meet you.

I’m honored to perform before many Army officers, soldiers, and Bucheon citizens. By the way, I’m not sure how many times I’ve visited the army bases to give a morale-boosting concert (laughs), but I think I’ve traveled almost all parts of the nation. (laughs)
I guess I’m performing in every city, on every military training ground, on every school playground, and at every city hall across the nation than ever. (laughs)
1:02~1:22
But, I can learn so many things from this work, and I always thank many soldiers for fulfilling their military duties. So, I’m also doing my best to do everything I’m obligated to do.
1:25~1:46
I’ll have been here for nine months next month. (Wow!) I have another year to go. That’s all right with me. (laughs) I think time flew like an arrow, and I’m sure time will fly like an arrow.
1:47~1:55
Well. let me wrap up this concert after my last song. Thank you.
Usually I’m pretty good at predicting which K-Pop groups and numbers are going to be popular with the global crowd. In fact, I have a lot of fun making my predictions and boring my family and friends to tears with them (…hush, Stephe). So, seldom do I find many surprises when I drop by Billboard’s Korea K-Pop Hot 100 Music Chart to take a gander at what’s hot and what’s not from week to week. This week, though, I was delighted to find that two of my currently favorite songs had abruptly soared to the top of the charts. Talk about awesome! You should have seen me grinning. It was stupid. LOL.
So what are these spectacularly awesome songs? Well, I thought you’d never ask. 😛
Currently at #2 on the chart (behind BIGBANG‘s Monster) is the Wondergirls, with their Wonder Party song, Like This, a song that makes you want to get up and dance no matter what you’re doing while you’re listening to it. (Warning: Do not, I repeat, DO NOT listen to this song at work with your headphones on. It is dangerous. Especially when you forget you are wearing them. I’m just sayin’.) The word on the street is that the Wondergirls have also recorded an English version of Like This for their English-speaking fans. I can’t wait to hear it.
At #3 on the chart is a song many of you who regularly listen to Rain‘s and KCM‘s military radio show, Speeding Instinct, may recognize. It’s called The Gloomy Song, by rap duo Hyung Don and Dae Jun, and it makes me laugh every single time I hear it. So much fun. Wanna laugh even harder? Visit Popgasa.com for the English Translation. :-}
Both of these terrific songs are now available for purchase on iTunes. So, I encourage you to spend a measly .99 cents per song and help support these lovely artistes. I just did.

It’s Fun Time, everybody! (God knows, with the disappointment of still not being able to purchase certain Rain merchandise, not to mention hoping the ROK military doesn’t perform him into the ground, we all could use some.)
As many of you know, Privates First Class Jung JiHoon/Rain and Kang ChangMo/KCM have successfully melded their personalities over the airwaves as host DJs of the newest military radio show out of Seoul, “Speeding Instinct” (질주본능) on Friends FM 96.7. For the past four weeks, they’ve been witty, funny, sincere, and knowledgeable. They easily bounce things off of each other as if they’ve been doing it forever. (And the music is HOT. Love it!) As the senior-ranked soldier, Rain thrashes KCM unmercifully, all in fun, and KCM rises to the occasion by getting his hooks back into Rain a time or two. Their laughter is infectious, and it’s easy to tell what great friends they really are. They make two hours go by so fast.
There have been many popular comedic duos down through the years. Which of the following duos do YOU think best represents Rain & KCM’s need for speed?
Television host and radio personality Grace Lee (born Lee Kyung Hee / 이경희), a Korean expatriate who’s spent the last eighteen years in the Philippines, has landed on the cover of the May-June 2012 issue of LOOK Magazine Philippines.
In her interview with LOOK for their feature article, she talks at length about events in her interesting and jam-packed life before and after her romance this year with President Benigno Aquino III. In the PD Inquirer Lifestyle article excerpt below, she shares about being a translator while in college and interviewing a newly debuted Rain in that capacity, when he came to the Philippines for a photo shoot. Not only that, she also interviewed him the last time he was in Manila (for Fugitive: Plan B filming and the Intensity concert, I believe? Somebody help me out!), lucky lady.
A beautiful woman with a fun sense of humor. Nice article. GREAT cover!
Korean by birth but a Filipina at heart, Grace Lee enjoys shopping, beauty products and the attention of one pop superstar
[EXCERPT]
While Grace was in high school and college, she worked as translator for visiting Korean dignitaries, including pop superstar Rain, who flew in for a shoot in the country.
“He wasn’t as huge then as he is now,” she recounted. “We were together for three days. Nobody knew him, and he was able to walk around Manila in peace. With my mom as chaperone, I took Rain to Malate. I showed him the bars and restaurants there. He’s a nice guy.”
When Rain returned to Manila recently, Grace was assigned to interview him again. “My mom went with me. At the press conference, my mom waved at him from afar and Rain stood up to greet her. He remembered me. He kept looking at me. In my mind, I thought it was because I was pretty,” she joked.
The upcoming Cloud USA Atlanta Super Cell meet-up will take place on Saturday evening, June 30 at 7pm, at the » Woo Nam Jeong Stone Bowl House on Buford Highway off of I-285, in the Atlanta suburb of Doraville. (You can get location, directions, restaurant reviews, etc. when you click that link.) The Stone Bowl House was the very first place I ate with my Korean language meet-up group. When I took Terri there a few months later, the bibimbap was so good, she killed it. So come join us! We’re looking forward to sharing a good meal, great stories, lots of fun, and all things Rain. 🙂

For years, our South Korean world star has been throwing Japanese, Chinese, and English up in the mix when he speaks and sings, you know. Now, Latin Clouds across the world are in absolute heaven because on Rain and KCM’s Speeding Instinct military radio show today, Rain casually kidded around in Spanish.
Those of us who were listening in live and chatting on Twitter were stunned when the “Ah! Gracias!!” happened. I cracked up at the funny “Uno! Dos! Tres! Quatro!” pronunciations. 😛 (Incidentally, seemed to me that the thank you and the counting were the real Spanish, while the rest of it was him trying to sound Spanish… native speakers out there, do chime in!)
Why just the other day, I was wondering how Spanish with a Korean accent would sound, and BOOM! Hahaha. 🙂
Latin Rain fan ARACELYBRIT had this to say on her YouTube channel (translated from Spanish ^@@^):
“As I understand…. KCM tells Rain that in addition to fans from Japan, also have many fans in Mexico, so Rain begins to say “Thank you!” and Spanish words “Sergeant”…? I am not sure but he says ‘it is already for you’, something like that? *huge grin* And “1, 2, 3, 4″ LOL… and since all that interrupted what they’d been talking about, the guest apologized. *HUGE grin*”
Thanks for those tips, Aracely. Bless you, KCM, for mentioning the Mexican fans in the first place.
Well. JiHoon is full of surprises, even on the fly.
