You can spill it. I know each one of you secretly (and some of you not so secretly) have or have had thoughts of a weekend getaway with Rain. You know, where he picks you up early Saturday morning in his cute car with his cute dog and won’t tell you where you are going but just gives you that mischievous grin? Then, takes you by the hand, plops you in the passenger seat, buckles you in, and you both speed off into the horizon? Yeah, that thought!! When the reality is you fire up Netflix or pop in a DVD and that romantic weekend getaway turns into a marathon of Young Jae, Kang Boku, Sang Doo or Ji Woo. By the way, there is absolutely nothing wrong with that scenario whatsoever! I will never diss the drama marathon, especially one of the Rain persuasion!
Throughout his career, Rain has endorsed many products, but he also has been a model for various clothing lines and fashion. I have always felt Rain was (and IS) a designer’s dream. Perfectly proportioned, tall, fit, athletic and handsome, he was and continues to be a natural. The camera just loves him. And when it comes to clothing, the man can simply wear anything, and wear it well.
Back in 2002-2003, he partnered with 1492 Miles clothing line. When you watch the CF and the short video about the making of the CF (no subs, but enjoy any way), I think you will agree that the relaxed vibe of this clothing was a perfect match for the young and upcoming superstar. Because he’s so comfortable with movement, the clothing was a perfect fit for Rain, the type of clothing I would expect to see him wearing for that weekend getaway or just any lazy Sunday afternoon on his way to the dance studio (because we all know the man would most likely be going to work, even on a Sunday)!
I love this CF. Even though the quality of the video is not spectacular, you can tell that it was filmed beautifully. Perfectly lit by the sun, the vast open road and natural landscapes provide a meditative atmosphere for our traveling man and his canine companion. And doesn’t he just look so happy? With the wind in his hair, not a care in the world, he looks like a man content with the journey he is about to embark on. Kind of fitting, right?

Before the last fan meeting, we informed you of a change from flower garlands to rice garlands in plans so late that a lot of applications got rejected.
On a global fandom scale, we’re trying to launch a charity race to raise money to buy rice garlands called ‘Dreamy’ for the poor, and then these rice garlands purchased and the other rice garlands collected at the last fan meeting will be together given to a charity that helps the poor.
This fundraiser to celebrate the fan meeting is open to any Rain fan or any Rain fan site at home and abroad, going on in the name of Global Rain fandom.
The deadline for the fundraiser is October 23rd.

Ok, I admit that I am jealous. When I saw Rain perform Hip Song live, he was still a sergeant in the ROK Army and although there was some of that Hip Song ‘tude we’ve all grown to love, the performance lacked a little extra special movement, if you know what I mean. But, I forgive him. Yes, I forgive him for taking the ‘hip’ out of Hip Song. It was after all a cultural event and the audience was teeming with Korean War vets. Sgt. Rain was simply being respectful of his fellow soldiers that evening. And wait, I did just say I saw Rain perform live, didn’t I? Well, I think I should just zip it then, right?!! 🙂
Flash forward to October 12, 2013, Seoul. Rain, his Clouds and Hip Song. Now, we all know Rain would never turn his back on his Clouds. Right? Unless of course it was to allow them a view that, up until now, only the Fabulous Ones have been privy to!! Always playful and consistently sexy, Rain executes the hip grind as only he can and in the process conjures up some serious fan girl commotion with this well-received backside view!

OF THIS MINUTE: Rain shows up for MCM runway show
FIDé Fashion Weeks amped up their celebrity attendance with South Korean superstar, Rain. Besides making an appearance at MCM Singapore’s first outlet at Marina Bay Sands, he was present at the brand’s fashion show which was filled to the brim with media, fashionistas and overzealous fans.
The brand’s collection, titled “Flower Boys in Paradise” was a departure from MCM’s usual aesthetic. Floral prints and pastel water colours ruled the runway with standout neon green, pink, yellow and metallic silver imprints. Even the hard-looking duster coat and motorcycle jacket was given a light, flowery motif.
However, the highlight of the night had to be the silent auction of five MCM backpacks, one of which was autographed by Rain. All proceeds went towards the Y C Wong Foundation which aims to help victims afflicted with terminal/non-terminal illnesses and causalities of road accidents.

Though this remains unconfirmed by RAINY Entertainment, Cube DC, and Rain himself as of this posting, the Chinese media has been buzzing for days about Rain attending the 1st Qian Youzi Yunnan’s Most Influential Awards on the evening of October 18. It’s not so hard to believe, though, seeing as he’s been giving his passport a workout when it comes to China these days.

Personally, I think everyone needs to cool their jets a bit and let Rain do whatever it is he’s going to do, in whatever order he chooses to do it in. If you know anything about Rain, that’s how it’s going to happen anyway, regardless.
He’s not going to go any faster or reveal things any sooner just because folks are bugging the crap out of him about what they want—a new movie, a new drama, new music, or even tweeting. It’s not that our wants aren’t important to him—they are. He’s made that abundantly clear. At the same time, though, everything he does has to be on point, to meet his standards for his fans, and the timing has to be right before he makes that move. That’s how he rolls. It is what it is.
If we were all good enough to wait for him to get through two years of hell on Earth the military, surely we can cut the man some slack and let the plan for his second decade unfold as it will. The Media has embarrassed themselves so badly in the past trying to predict Rain’s next move every five minutes, they should just stop while they’re ahead. Seriously.
No doubt, it will all be worth the wait. We’re talking about RAIN here. 🙂 ^@@^

Rain will make a comeback with a new song, not a film?
The time singer Rain, who hasn’t started his official activities since his discharge last July, will make a comeback with a new album, has come to public attention since he directly referred to his working on his next album.
Rain’s management agency ‘Cube’ stated on the 13th, “Rain has been already working on his next album, but the time of his comeback has not yet been decided. As of now, he is only concentrating on working on his next album.”
Rain mentioned the album during the fan meeting last 12th, “I’m coming up with charming music and stage that can appeal to everyone. I want to try new things and challenge myself. But obviously I’ll show music and stage for everybody in the world.”
As it is not hard for Rain to do activities globally, not just locally, it appears that he is more focused on concentrating on working as a singer rather than as an actor. He has had many movie roles offered to him recently, but the situation could be affected by a number of external variables. His name has been bandied about in connection with whether he appears in several dramas next year, but nothing at all has been decided.
Meanwhile, when asked what he had recently done during the fan meeting, Rain said, “I’m trying to accumulate a variety of experiences, including reading books, seeing movies, etc, whenever time allows from work, giving myself a little more time than usual in order to achieve a better result.
He added, “I’ll be holding a concert – where I can communicate with fans – in Japan as the first leg of the tour, and I’d like to go on to hold such a concert even in Korea. We can see each other when I perform concerts around the world, including Asia. You can see more of what I can do in the future.”
Rain is planning a concert tour entitled “2013 RAIN ZEPP TOUR STORY OF RAIN” in a total of 4 cities like Fukuoka, Osaka and Tokyo starting in Zepp Nagoya on November 14th. He’ll perform a total of 10 concerts and the tour will finish on November 28th.

When was the last time a commercial made you cry? Has one ever made you cry? Maybe this one might push you to the verge of waterworks just a little bit, especially if you are a hopeless romantic like me and you adore Rain.
One of the best discoveries I have made since falling down the K-rabbit hole is the commercial film (CF). In my opinion, these mini-productions are given the same care, attention and importance as any film or drama. I love that dedication and respect for this particular genre in Asia – it is art after all. The extended commercial films are pure entertainment and marketing gold. My first (and don’t condemn on this) was Lee Min Ho’s The One and Only for Toyota. I was blown away. I thought to myself, this is brilliant marketing. Not only that, what an additional amazing gift of entertainment to add to a fangirl’s treasure chest of goodies featuring her particular K-love. I still had yet to discover the BMW endorsement.
When I did, I watched Rain’s BMW Meets Truth (feat. Still Believe) like it was a full-length feature film. It captivated me. I was mesmerized by what was unfolding on my screen. And I about lost my mind when that lone tear falls from his left eye as he parses through pictures showing his girlfriend’s infidelity and watches her subsequent abduction on that snazzy pop up screen on the car dashboard. Whenever Rain’s eyes fill and ultimately spill with tears, I just melt into a puddle of emotional fangirl mush. Girl cannot help it!
And as his tears continue to fall and the devastation sets in, I cried right along with him. Oh my goodness…..RAIN! This man’s dedication to bringing his best no matter what the project continues to amaze me. It just shows his incredible respect for that project and for his fans.
This well-made CF/MV is another nugget of gold Rain can add to his reel. The Ji Hoon in this CF/MV is at times blissfully happy, demure, angry, intense, devastated, defeated, lost and resolved – all in like 15 minutes. AH-mazing! Then, the CF is capped off with the music video portion where Rain is looking all fly, dancing and bringing that special Rain-laced swag that is always a heady mix of sweet, sexy and cool. The product of this endorsement is a perfect storm of acting, music and dance if there ever was one!!
Makes me want to go out and buy myself a shiny blue BMW…well, so long as it is delivered by Rain and the audio system can tolerate Still Believe being played really, really loud!

SINGAPORE – Friday night was a pretty special night. Because I had dinner with Rain.
Sure, we were seated several tables apart, so cruelly separated at Fashion Week 2013’s MCM Gala Dinner at Marina Bay Sands.
But I am not going to nitpick.
Our evening together began quite dramatically, at approximately 9pm, right after I’d gobbled my appetiser and a particularly tasty bun.
He marched right into Hall F at the Sands Expo for the Gala Dinner. All heads turned, probably to memorise every step he made.
As he took his designated seat, women in shiny gowns and grown men in expensive suits hurried over, aiming their cameras and phones at his face.
He smiled – awkwardly, politely, and a little resigned. I am not sure if our eyes met, but I am going to remember that they did.
Half a dozen bodyguards stood menacingly behind him, forming a semi-circle of muscle.
I know some people wanted to go close – to ask him for autographs, photos, a marriage proposal. But no one challenged the Muscles.
A minute later, the women were shooed back to their seats, while the men were (probably) told to have some self-respect.
And he finally settled in enough for a short chat with the people at his table.
I wondered what came up during their conversation. How was the flight? Did he enjoy the fashion show? Wasn’t he dying of heat under that pea coat?
I was sure he would have more fun talking to me. About our favourite movies. Our childhoods. Where our kids should go to school.
Soon, it was, of course, time for him to make a trip to the bathroom. And so he did. A dozen of his people followed. I motioned to say that I would wait at my table.
Then, he probably thought it would be nice to take a photograph against the backdrop, right next to my table. More cameras and smartphones came out, and more people were shooed. I tried to tell him that I was camera-shy.
He went back to his table for a few more minutes, and then back to the backdrop. It had been too dark.
Two bodyguards fished out their torchlights so he could have enough light for a good photo.
Pose, and snap.
Then, about half an hour after he entered the room, while they were serving squash soup, he left.
Without even a goodbye kiss.
He marched out the way he had marched in, with a long train of people behind him.
Not unlike Pied Piper, I thought. If Pied Piper were unusually good-looking, and one of Korea’s biggest pop stars.
And, just in case you were interested, I finished my soup. It was quite good.

And congratulations to our Cloud sisters all over the world for their show of Rain support as well! Can you believe that these donations were pulled off in roughly one week in order for The Cloud to have time to order them all? It’s true! The power of Clouds!
For all the U.S. Clouds who wanted to give but couldn’t, it’s the thought that counts and never fear, you were all represented in Seoul with a rice garland.

Singer and actor Rain delighted his fans yesterday with the successful completion of his first post-miliary fan meeting in Korea titled “2013 Rain with You Fan Meeting.”
Held at Kyung Hee University, this is Rain’s first fan meeting in Korea since 2009, and fans, showing thirst and love, showed up by the thousands from all over the world. Reflective of Rain’s wide fan base, it is reported that over 1300 interpretation devices were rented for this event.
Rain, dressed smartly in a suit, looked up brightly and happily at his cheering fans upon his entrance. Throughout the fan meeting, Rain’s face was shining with happiness as he and his fans shared memories.
During a Q&A session, Rain revealed what he was up to these days, saying, “In anticipating of a practice-centered life, right now I am relaxing by practicing when I have the chance, reading, watching movies, and experiencing a variety of things.”
Rain didn’t forget to thank his fans for waiting for him during his military service, saying, “It is due to the fans who believe me and support me that I am able to work so hard and succeed.”
Rain also performed his hit songs at the fan meeting, a welcomed sound to his fans. They will be able to hear more as Rain starts his “2013 RAIN ZEPP TOUR – STORY OF RAIN” in Japan from November 14, hitting four cities (Nagoya, Fukuoka, Osaka, Tokyo) for a total of ten performances.

Rain’s fans throughout the world were gathered to attend his fan meeting. 1,300 translating devices were arranged
Rain’s fans across the globe, including Korea, Japan, China, Europe, North America, etc., came to his domestic fan meeting held for the first time after his discharge from the army. Accordingly, no less than 1,300 translating devices were arranged for his foreign fans.
With more than 3,000 fans from China, Japan, Europe, North America, Turkey, Sweden, Brazil, Argentina, etc., including Korea, in attendance, Rain’s fan meeting started at 4:00pm on the 12th.
The fan meeting was originally going to be held for his Korean fans, but proving that he is popular around the world, Rain arranged no less than 1,300 translating devices when it was attended by a great many foreign fans.
During the fan meeting, Rain sang his hit songs, and tried spending quality time with his fans and having meaningful conversations that are ways to build intimacy and strengthen bonds while telling them how he was getting along.
His management agency gave a hint, “Rain has prepared many things to spend meaningful time with his fans. He’ll sing many songs.”As it was his first fan meeting since 2009 when he was about to be enlisted, the event drew great attention from the public. Gagman ‘Yun Jung-su‘ hosted the event.
Meanwhile, Rain is to hold a fan meeting in Japan in November. He is planning a concert tour entitled “2013 RAIN ZEPP TOUR STORY OF RAIN” in a total of 4 cities like Fukuoka, Osaka and Tokyo starting in Nagoya on November 14th. He’ll perform a total of 10 concerts and the tour will finish on November 28th.

In honor of Rain’s first official fan meeting on domestic soil since his military duties were finished, his Clouds in these locations voluntarily banded together to feed the needy in Asia in his name: Korea, Japan, the USA, Canada, Chile, China, France, Hawaii, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Mexico, Peru, the Philippines, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, Uruguay, Spain, Mexico, and Vietnam.
In total, 2.24 tons of rice were donated by Rain’s fan clubs around the world and displayed outside of the October 12 fan meeting venue, Kyunghee University’s Peace Center.

Crowds were wowed with the return of MCM to the FIDé Fashion Weeks stage, which was even more spectacular than last year. “Flowers in Paradise”, this collection was much lighter, more colourful and youthful. Korean megastar Rain was sitting in the front row, with Sung Hoon and Shin Woo walking the show. The fashion show was followed by the Welcome Gala Dinner, held in the Crystal Ballroom, marking the official opening of Fashion Week 2013.
