I tried to wait for all the photos and fan cams to come out before I write this short fan account, because I think the pictures and video clips say a thousand times better than my words. You can read this (sequence may not be accurate) as a footnote to the photos and videos.
From the very beginning our prince had stressed that this was not a concert, but a showcase to introduce his album 30 Sexy. He was clearly impressed with the turnout, which was a total full house.
He thanked the fans again and again. And he delivered much more than a showcase, even more than a concert.
He started with 30 Sexy. I could not recall the sequence of the songs now but including the three encore songs (with a second performance of La Song as one of the encore), our prince performed a total of 21 songs, plus the jump at the very end. I will not go into details about this performance. Video clips are abound but one has to be at the show to truly appreciate the performance of the King of stage!
But I have to add that I have never seen a man wearing so many rings on his hand and yet still looking so sexy, manly and charismatic!
After some performance our prince stopped to take a towel to wipe off his sweat. He said that now that he is in his 30s, he sweated a lot. It looks like our prince likes to associate anything with his 30s.
Dear prince, I wish to tell you that it has nothing to do with age. How could you not sweat buckets when you gave us a full 2.5 hours show without any guests and hardly any break (except a 15 minute talk session). And by the way, dear prince, how could you be so sexy even when you were just wiping your sweat – is it because you are in your 30s?
Talking about his age, our prince decided to do a survey on his fans again – fans in their teens, 20s, 30s. He teased a teenager that she/he looked more like a 30s, and said he had better not continue with the 40s and beyond. Fans shouted we don’t mind! As he approached to ask the 60s he broke out in Chinese suddenly: I love you all^^.
Our prince saw many young male fans and asked them to make some noise. He was happy with their response, but made fun of them by saying perhaps they were not here because they love him (more to accompany their girl friends). Hearing this, a young man right behind me shouted out loudly in Korean: Brother, I love you! Our prince gave a sweet smile and responded with I love you too! Our prince is definitely a man killer as well.
How could our prince not talk about food^^? He told us he ate xiao long bao (dumpling), and asked us what other food we would recommend in Beijing. From answers on the floor he managed to make out Beijing duck. He said after the concert he would ask his agent to treat him a big meal (and we understood he had a great after party!)
Highlights of the talk part. The MC asked when does our prince think himself sexy. To this he replied “I am sexy just by standing here” and he stood up. [Stephe’s note: Ahahaha!!! Rain, you so crazy. LOL! ♥ ^@@^]
He’s right. Isn’t he sexy?^^ We cheered.^^
The MC then asked him which part of his body he considers most sexy. Our prince showed off the muscle on his arm.
However he added quite quickly that actually he’s most proud of his hip. At the request of the MC, he stood up with his back to us to let us see his hip line. We shouted out in excitement. Our cool prince then sat down and told us : “Too bad I can’t show it to you.” More loud shouts from the floor.
Later during his performance he did not forget to tease us with his proud hip.
The MC requested our prince to make a sexy expression. Our prince showed his kissing lips. Wild shouts from the floor.
The MC asked for a cute expression. Our prince showed his big eyes. Laughs and wild shouts from the floor.
The MC said what about a sexy yet cute expression. Our prince tried to show his kissing lips with his big eyes . Roars of laughter from the floor.
A truly 30 sexy and cute prince.
He then told us he has to change for the next performance – La Song.
The performance of our prince was as perfect and powerful as before. The more I watch our prince, the more I appreciate 30 Sexy, La Song, Marilyn Monroe, and Dear Mama Don’t Cry. I think these four songs sum up the essence of our prince as he starts his second chapter.
Controlled, restrained, matured 30 sexy prince, caring for his fans and wanting to share good times together, la la la la la la la . Tribute to the women he loves, amongst them his most dear mama.
Thanks so much for the Beijing show case, dear prince. Your clouds are waiting to have great fun with you again in Shanghai on 20 April. 30 sexy 30 sexy la la la la la la la …
Bonus account. Our prince learned some new Chinese words and the way he said it was sooooooo cute. He learned the mandarin words for “ready”, which was pronounced as “zhun bei”. We know in his concerts/showcases, he would often asked fans “are you ready?” in Korean. But this would be too long in Chinese so he just said “ready?” He tried to ask us: Zhun Bei? And then he taught us how to reply: “ I say zhun bei (ready in Mandarin), you say ho (good in Cantonese)!” What a language genius. Our prince is teaching us to ask in Mandarin and to reply in Cantonese^^
Zhun Bei? Ho! Can’t wait to see you again in Shanghai on 20 April.

•April 3, 2014 • 7 CommentsTo my delight, Ninja Assassin (2009, Warner Bros.) aired on SpikeTV last night.
Like I was saying to my Cloud sisters on Twitter and Facebook at the time, I saw this movie in the theater and have watched it a gazillion times on Blu-ray (which really is the best way), yet I always get silly-excited whenever it comes on actual television. I suppose that’s because it says a lot to me when a local or cable or satellite channel chooses to air it. My dad came to my bedroom door and peeked in, grinning, to make sure I was watching it. “Did you know Rain’s on?” he said. “He’s kicking ass like it ought to be kicked!”LOL (That’s Daddy Cloud for ya.)
As an ex-Shorin Ryu karate student (for four years, in my mid-30s) and martial arts/Black Belt Theater/Sho Kosugi aficionado, I enjoy watching it just for what it is and claims to be—an homage to the fun, late great blood-spouting ninja flicks of the 80s and 90s.
The fight scenes go hard. “Raizo” and his enemies put a whipping on folks like they stole something. Rain’s real blood-sweat-and-tears effort to give everything to that role gave Badassery a brand new face.
