In answer to your question, deedeegii, yes, I am. Whenever you’re ready, Megan! 🙂 Here is the clip of Megan’s TMNT movie interview on KBS.

SOOMPI News 8/30/2014 — by deedeegii

Hollywood actress Megan Fox has finally responded to singer-actor Rain’s ALS ‘Ice Bucket Challenge’ nomination.
On the August 30 broadcast of KBS 2TV’s “Entertainment Weekly,” Megan Fox took part in an interview to talk about her new movie “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.”
During the interview, the topic of the Ice Bucket Challenge was brought up. The reporter mentioned that the actress’s proclaimed ideal type, Rain, had nominated her to take on the challenge. After hearing this, Megan Fox said, “Me? Okay, so now I have to do it.”
When asked if she is going to do the challenge or donate, the actress responded, “I’ll do both. I’ll do it [IBC] and I’ll donate. I didn’t know, no one told me [about Rain’s nomination] so thank you for telling me.” However, due to being sick with the cold at the moment, Megan Fox explained that she will not be doing it immediately but she “will definitely do it.” You can watch a part of the interview here.
Are you looking forward to seeing Megan Fox take on Rain’s nomination for the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge?

WStar News / Naver 8/20/2014 —

[RAIN excerpts]
I (reporter) asked him the question, “Which singer do you fit most? (whom do you fit right in with ?)”
Lee Chang-Hoon said, “Rain.” He said it without hesitation.
Lee Chang-Hoon also said, “Rain has a lot of ideas for choreography. After his songs come out, he constantly tries to think and choreograph his own dance moves. He almost choreographed the point (key) choreography (dance moves) of ‘How To Avoid The Sun’ (one of his songs). When I was in the practice room, he ran to me in a big hurry with sunglasses and then he said, ‘Why don’t we choreograph with sunglasses?’ Thus was born the choreography of ‘How to avoid the sun’ ( the sunglasses dance).”
Lee Chang-Hoon didn’t want someone who simply dances only.
He wanted someone who has affection for his or her own songs (music) and someone who works hard like Rain. (He wanted someone who has an attachment to his or her songs and works hard like Rain.)

*Sonya’s note: He (Lee Chang-Hoon) is a longtime choreographer for K-Pop idols. He worked with Rain before (his world tour). I don’t know that he is still working with Rain now. He has worked with many singers, and mentioned Rain.

This seems to happen a lot over the years—people with disdain for Rain (reporters, students, etc.) realizing they were dead wrong when they meet him. This isn’t the first time and it definitely won’t be the last. 🙂

[Korean → English Summary by: Sonya @CloudUSA]
“Recently, a reporter (뒤통령/Dwi TungRyeong) said this:
‘I had a bad opinion (prejudice) of Rain before (I was not interested in him that much), but I have changed my mind about him since January of this year [Note: Maybe there was Rain effect album meeting of reporters that time] because I see his humanity and his enthusiastic attitude. And then I understood (found out) why he became a big star.
He has a habit of thrift and saving, and then he makes donations a lot and secretly uses the money he scraped for good things.
The more I see of him, the more I can see that he is a genuine (fine) person.
He is a warm, (kind)-hearted and a genuine person, so I was ashamed of my bad prejudice against Rain. I hope he will be more successful.’
When anyone meets him in person, they will find him a great man.”

EPOCH TIMES 8/28/2014 — By Janet Walters Levite

South Korean heartthrob ‘Rain’ Co-stars in ‘The Prince’
[EXCERPTS]
The Prince stars Jason Patric, alongside film and entertainment industry heavyweights Bruce Willis, Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, John Cusack, and South Korean singer ‘Rain’ (Jung Ji-Hoon) in this run of the mill, how-did-they-get-all-of-those-big-names, testosterone flick that indeed holds the viewer’s attention quite long enough for a smidgen of likability…
What finally ensues are a bloody shoot-outs, not unlike the host of other testosterone flicks you’ve seen in the past. Paul enlists the help of a former loyal comrade named Sam (Johh Cusack) who intends to aid in Paul’s escape from New Orleans. In the process Paul has to do battle with The Pharmacy, Mark the enforcer (who is the first antagonist to give Paul a combative run for his money), and finally Omar…
Jung JiHoon (better known as the singer RAIN who starred in 2009′s Ninja Assassin) won’t be winning any performance awards just yet, but there’s promise for him as he makes his mark outside of the martial arts genre and into action Americana. His performance was muted and smooth and served as a superb platform to launch him into whatever his next role may be….

The Korea Herald 8/28/2014 — by Park Gyu-oh, Intern reporter

Rain and Krystal will appear in a romantic drama this fall, their agencies said.
The first teaser of SBS’ new drama “My Lovely Girl” was revealed on YouTube on Wednesday.
The impressive video is about 23 seconds long, and shows Rain and Krystal sharing their feelings like they were destined to meet.
After the romantic video was uploaded on YouTube, “My Lovely Girl” became the most-searched-for phrase on the Korean Web portal Naver.
The drama is about two pained individuals who will find healing through music. Hyun-wook (Rain) is a composer and producer working for an entertainment company. After losing his girlfriend in an accident, he meets her younger sister Se-na (Krystal), who dreams of becoming a top music producer.
“My Lovely Girl” is currently being filmed and will be airing on Sept. 17.

The Korea Herald 8/24/2014 — by Lee Hyun-jeong
Hallyu star Rain got himself drenched in icy water and pledged to donate 100 million won ($98,000) to research into Lou Gehrig’s Disease, joining a slew of Korean and global celebrities in the viral Ice Bucket Challenge.
“The meaning of participating in this campaign is very special to me. My father-like mentor Hong Seung-sung, who led me to debut as a singer, has been suffering from the Lou Gehrig’s Disease for three years,” he said on YouTube. “I’ve always thought how to return his love and gratefulness.”
Rain’s donation will be given to a college hospital that conducts research to find new treatments for amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, commonly known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease
Hong, the president of Cube Entertainment, has trained many K-pop groups including Rain, 4Minute, B2ST and G.NA.
For the next three targets of the challenge, rain pointed pop star Psy, actor Lee Byung-hun and Hollywood actress Megan Fox.
The Ice Bucket Challenge asks people to make a recording of themselves getting drenched with ice water, post it online and nominate others to do the same within 24 hours or donate $100 to ALS research.
By Lee Hyun-jeong (rene@heraldcorp.com)
The Korea Times 8/25/2014 —
K-pop superstar Jung Ji-hoon, better known as Rain, has donated 100 million won ($ 98,200) to help develop a cure for Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), or Lou Gehrig’s disease.
Rain said over the weekend that he made the donation because of his relationship with Cube Entertainment CEO Hong Seung-Seong, who has ALS. Hong helped Rain break into the industry.
“Hong has been a teacher and father figure to me. But he has been struggling with ALS for three years. I did not know how I could ever express my gratitude to him,” the singer said.
“One of the university hospitals in Korea is now developing new drugs for the disease. I want to donate for a good cause. I hope we all make our efforts to help those in need,” he added.
ALS is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and the spinal cord.
In recent weeks, people from around the world have raised money to find a cure through the virally popular “ice-bucket challenge.”

Since 100% of the Cube DC shares are owned by Cube Entertainment, Cube DC will be fully merged into Cube Entertainment.
Cube DC artists include Rain (Bi, Jung Jihoon) Shin Jihoon, No Jihoon, actors Kwak Seungnam and more, while Cube Entertainment houses 4minute, BEAST, G.NA, BTOB, Kim Kiri, Oh Yeri, Na Jongchan, Jo Seha and more.
Here’s a little something that should tickle y’all a little bit, the way it tickled me.
Before The Prince (2014) opened last Friday (August 22) in limited theaters and on VOD, I was trying to find some news on where and when it was playing. (Weren’t we all?) I plugged “the prince 2014 showtimes” into Google and hit “enter”…
Which brought up this screen. ↓ (CLICK on images for larger view)
Let’s take a closer look. ↓
For one thing, I didn’t understand why they were (and still are) showing Armenian producer/director/writer Sarik Andreasyan in Brian A. Miller’s spot… weird. Which made me want to check if they had an article linked, and if that article was also half-assed or on point. So, I clicked on the movie poster and got…
This. ↓
LOL! And I thought, no way! So I clicked “view page” to go to the source. And got (drumroll, please)…
My article on DramaFever. kekeke ↓
On point! Thank goodness.
Now that The Prince has opened, Google Search brings up fresher images and a fresher article for that particular search.
But the little time my article was up there was kind of cool. Thumbs up! 🙂

{Edited to Add 8/22: I suggest that if you have an AMC theater somewhere near you, check it out! And even if you don’t, check your area thoroughly because AMC isn’t the only chain playing the film. Good luck, everyone! Just wondering — does anyone see it listed in Canada anywhere? ^@@^}
FINALLY, the names of the theaters in the U.S.A where Rain’s movie The Prince is opening this Friday (August 22) were released yesterday. Released on Wednesday for a movie that opens on Friday. What genius thought that up. Anyway—
Atlanta is one of the cities, thank the Immortal Movie Gods. The theater is the AMC Sugarloaf Mills (formerly the AMC Discover Mills), 5900 Sugarloaf Parkway, Lawrenceville, GA 30043. Show times are 12:00 PM, 3:00 PM, and 9:00 PM. Thank goodness it’s in the suburbs. Parking downtown can be a real challenge, sometimes.
Okay, here’s the plan.
Terri and I have made reservations at the same hotel we all stayed in during the last Cloudburst in March—the Holiday Inn Express in Duluth, located at 3670 Shackleford Rd, Duluth GA, 3009. (They’re in the middle of some renovations, and the hospitality suite isn’t available to us this time, but it’s a nice place to stay and some of you are already familiar with it.) Holiday Inn Express reservations can be made by calling 1-888-465-4329. We’ll be driving out to Duluth on Friday, and we plan to catch the afternoon and evening showings of “The Prince.” The AMC Sugarloaf Mills is only 3 exits up from the hotel by expressway. In between showings, we’ll have dinner out on the town.
Local Clouds, come on and join us! Hopefully, some of you sisters out of state can join us too, even with time being so short. (Believe me, we didn’t want it this way and tried hard to avoid this very situation.)
Saturday (August 23), we plan to shop, eat, see another viewing, and be back at the hotel before 10 PM, in time for our second The Prince event: Cloud USA’s “Mercy Is For the Weak” Virtual Cloudburst. Hopefully, all of you who can’t physically be with us in Atlanta can have fun watching Rain’s movie On Demand and celebrating it with us on our new Forum. You can read all about it HERE.
Tha-tha-that’s all, folks.
Cloud sisters in California, New York, Ohio, Washington, Florida, NJ, Pennsylvania, and Texas, get in those theaters and represent! We look forward to seeing your pics and sharing your thoughts and views.

He always has a solid plan, and a way to successfully adjust that plan due to unforeseen circumstances. The trick is to have patience and let things play out, because no matter what or how long it takes, the man will not make a move until he is 100% ready for it. JMHO.
“When I visited countries in Europe, America, and Asia to promote my movie Ninja Assassin, I realized that the world is wide and there are many things to do. Even though it was very painful for me when I had to go on a severe diet for eight months to film the movie, I could earn the new title of action star and introduce myself to many people due to those painful efforts….
I am gaining popularity as an actor in America right now, so I think that I have to release an album in America right after I establish my title as an actor when I become more popular in America. If I just release album in the American market without consideration, I would pay dearly. The American market is not a bed of roses. Success is more important than the timing. First of all, I want to establish myself in America as an actor.”

FYI: I also notice here that Rain sometimes does the same thing the Korean Media does. He calls the drama “내그녀” (My Girl) for short, instead of by its full name (내겐 너무 사랑스러운 그녀). Cute. ^@@^

“역시 반사판의 힘 … “내그녀” 촬영 잘 하고있습니다 비가와서 힘들지만…ㅋ 이제 거의 한달 남았습니다 기대해주세요^^”

“My Lovely Girl,” the upcoming SBS drama which started filming on August 16, released photos of the artists under the agency AnA, a fictitious agency that exists in the drama.
Rain, who had arrived at a cafe for the first shooting, is seen walking home on the way from work as President Hyun Wook, giving off a carefree smile.
Alex, who plays the role of Sung Jin who is a close friend of Hyun Wook, is in a couple of the photos, making the women who see him swoon. Cha Ye Ryun, who plays the role of Hae Yoon, AnA’s representative stylistic icon, displays her chic “going home” fashion.
Filming has safely started for “My Lovely Girl,” as the drama has fiery passion and cold nerves from the cast with unique visuals. In the first shooting, the process of Hyun Wook asking around for Se Na’s (Krystal) whereabouts is important, so the two will actually meet on August 20 and immerse themselves in filming.
“My Lovely Girl” takes place at AnA, Korea’s best entertainment agency, and is a fantasy-romance drama depicting the goals of Se Na, the girl with many dreams, and Hyun Wook, the man with many secrets, along with the love story unfolding between the two. PD Park Hyung Ki of “Doctor Champ” and “Scent of a Woman” and writer No Ji Seol team up to create this highly anticipated melodrama.
“My Lovely Girl” follows “It’s Okay, It’s Love” and premieres September 17.

I was up very late last night, into the wee hours of this morning (what a surprise, right? LOL), watching Japanese drama “Love Affairs in the Afternoon” on my laptop (I am so hooked on it), when suddenly THIS ↓ came on my TV (which I had not bothered to switch off).
(Clip credit: Stephe @CloudUSA / dynasticstephe @vimeo. You might have to turn the sound up.)
It took me a few seconds, but when I slowly realized what I was seeing out of the corner of my eye, my body went on automatic pilot.
I shoved my laptop aside in shock, stared at the television, and grabbed my phone to capture the TV spot, all in one motion. LOL! It’s not exactly the type of ad I’ve been hoping for where The Prince is concerned (in what theaters? Helloooo? Anyone there?), but at least the trailer is on satellite TV now and the film will be available to a vast number of action thriller viewers with only the click of a button this Friday, so I ain’t complaining. 🙂
A little additional info: This was on the BBC America channel, during an episode of Doctor Who.
Thank the Lord for DVR. Without it, I never would have been able to run the commercial back and get it from the beginning.
Start watching for The Prince TV spots on your cable or satellite provider when you can, peeps, so that we all get a better idea of all the places this movie is going to land this Friday. (If you’ve got DirecTV, the Cinema channels start at 125.)
Now back to my J-drama. I completely forgot about it and my laptop has powered down. LOL
