Little “wisdoms” and sayings about love, in English and in Chinese, were posted by the official Diamond Lover Weibo on 8/21. Aw. How nice of them to think of English-speakers! What does that tell ya? 🙂 ❤ ^@@^

Remember back in July, when these pictures were posted on the Internet and I asked the question, Psssst… does Rain have a new sponsor involving Beijing’s 纪兰熙 Ji Lanxi? (skin and body care)
As some of you know by now, the answer is yes. 🙂
WellcareFIT China has a website (full of Rain) HERE. 纪兰熙 Ji Lanxi has 2 Weibo accounts HERE and HERE. They’re hitting the ground running with what looks like an event or two before the month is out.

The immensely popular and lovely Yoon Eun Hye is one of my favorite South Korean actresses.
She’s done a ton of TV dramas, films, and variety shows like X-Man, but she was introduced to me by way of K-drama Coffee Prince (2007). She started her career as a member of K-Pop girl group Baby V.O.X. in 1999. I realized she also modeled by stumbling across her unbelievably cute Trofish timepieces campaign with Rain and Jung Joon Ho in 2005 –2006. I hope she and Rain do a drama together one day. ^@@^

…when your aunt calls to tell you that she has a new phone because she accidentally dropped her old one in the toilet, and you ROFL and say, “I thought that only happened on TV” because all you can think about is Rain the Germaphobe for SK Telecom in 2009.
A Quanminxingtan news brief (something about Liu Yi Fei, For Love or Money, Tiffany Tang, Diamond Lover, and Rain playing CEOs/presidents back to back) also included these images of Rain on 8/6. ^@@^
Rain’s Chinese television drama “Diamond Lover” has recorded 3.3 billion clicks to date, Cube Entertainment said Thursday.
A Chinese ranking agency, VLinkage, showed that “Diamond Lover,” which started airing in China on July 22, topped eight online streaming sites.
The drama is a 68-part series, for which 42 episodes have been produced.
Rain stars as a CEO of the world’s top diamond company, a perfectionist at work who is sweet when it comes to love. Rain also sings the title song for the drama, for which he wrote the music and lyrics.
Meanwhile, Rain’s girlfriend Kim Tae-hee is starring in a Korean drama airing Wednesdays and Thursdays on SBS titled “Yong-pal.”
Chinese audiences are flocking to romance drama Diamond Lover, an original series from DMG Entertainment. Across the Middle Kingdom, 1.45B viewers have tuned in online since its July 20 debut.
Diamond Lover is at the midway point of its run on two national broadcast networks and VOD sites including Youku.com, Tudou.com, iQIYI.com, Letv.com and qq.com. Viewership reached 400M views within the first three days. This bests DMG’s previous biggest hit, All Quiet In Peking, which earned a cumulative 400M viewers.
Korean superstar Rain stars in Diamond Lover as a cold, overbearing, manipulative business executive; Tang Yan as a disfigured young woman who will undergo a metamorphosis; Luo Jin as an awkward obstetrician; and Di Li Re Ba as a glamorous movie star. The characters are placed under intense pressure that will either transform them into diamonds or crush them.
DMG is in talks with various regional broadcasters to syndicate the show across Asia when it finishes its initial run in mid-August. DMG TV’s upcoming original scripted titles include Lonely Battle and Little Woman.
This month’s themes are Rain’s Chinese TV drama Diamond Lover, Rain’s spread in the 8/4/2015 issue of 伊周Femina Magazine, and the RAIN The Best Show national tour. They look better “centered” or “filled”, but please feel free to display them however you like.
Just right-CLICK and save them to your hard-drive. 🙂 ^@@^

More Chinese TV drama Diamond Lover promotion, YAY!
To be specific, it’s the popular lifestyle magazine’s 8/4/2015 issue. Gorgeous pics! And, at present, Rain and Miss Tiff are cooling their jets as the icon on the magazine’s official Weibo account. Cool indeed! 🙂
… him on the streets of L.A. near Santa Monica Venice Beach, and getting that hair “did.” And that Cloud China has really been banging the drum for him overseas! Posting in English again, are we? 🙂

GUY CANDY: Rain goes futuristic for Vogue China Magazine’s August 2015 issue
Hi there, fashion lovers! The last time we saw Vogue China Magazine and globe-trotting, hardworking entertainer Rain was when they were strolling around the SoHo District of the NYC together, remember? Recently, the magazine released a new Rain pictorial for their upcoming August issue that is über-creative, futuristic, and oh so cool.
Rain’s a cyborg, but that’s OK….

7/12. Okay, y’all. What I came up with concerning these pics in Beijing may or may not be correct… there’s a language barrier, so bear with me! The person who posted these pics on Weibo appears to be an employee of 纪兰熙 (Ji Lanxi, a skin care line?) and these two people are the company president and his wife. Something was also mentioned about Rain “shooting advertising” and “joining us.” Hmm! I wonder? 🙂 ^@@^
Rain and Tiffany Tang promote their new Chinese TV drama Diamond Lover and look gorgeous doing it
Promotional events for highly anticipated romantic comedyDiamond Lover (克拉戀人) kicked off early last week in two major cities: Beijing and Hefei. Leading man Rain and his leading lady Tiffany Tang were a strong, unified front at both press conferences and looked like a million bucks, I kid you not!
Monday, July 13. The press conference in China’s capital city of Beijing had a fun, playful atmosphere. Diamond Lover director Chen Ming Zhang posed proudly with his cast….

Big thanks to our beloved friend who sent us these pics! Thanks again to everyone who contributed, and to those who wanted to contribute but could not. You were all represented. I love how the garland company put the Clouds’ country clearly on each sign so that it would be seen by the media and attendees at a glance. Perfect, and good for Rain! ^@@^

A very interesting write-up in The New York Times about how Korean TV and its stars have flooded China after K-drama My Love From Another Star, and how the people can’t get enough. Cool. 🙂
Faced with the limits, popular streaming websites like Sohu, iQiyi and Youku want to develop their own Korean-inspired content to sate the country’s appetite for the programming, part of a broader fascination with Korean popular culture. That has meant trying to tap into South Korea’s secret sauce — the magic formula that has turned the country into a pop-culture juggernaut that churns out viral exports like the singer and rapper Psy, the singer Rain and hits like “My Love From Another Star.”

Hi, all! It’s nice to be (slowly) back.
I went perusing the RAINiverse this evening and saw the beautiful flower garlands that The (Korean) Cloud and all of the global Cloud fan sites sent in support of Rain at the Diamond Lover press conferences in China last week. Talk about being proud to be a Cloud! 🙂
Huge thanks to the Cloud Exec and the Overseas Fan Coordinator for alerting us by email and helping us World Clouds get in on the action. Without them, working with the press event coordinator in China would have been completely impossible. Also, thanks to the folks who took pictures of the flower arrangements and shared them online. Thumbs up!^^
Last but certainly not least, a massive whoop-whoop! to those of you who helped us purchase garlands, and thanks to those who wanted to give but couldn’t. The Cloud USA garlands represented all of us as a whole.
You remember the first time you laid eyes on this gorgeous hunk of a Kpop specimen, right?
Oh, sure you do. You were watching TV, circling cyberspace—or doing whatever it is that you always do when you’re listening to Kpop—and a RAIN song came on. Wah. Something about the husky sexiness of his voice, the charm of his smile, and/or the style of his…um…dancing…simply mesmerized you, right?
Okay, don’t lie. Of course it did, or else you wouldn’t be here reading this article here on Cloud USA, now would you? 😛
Well, what if someone had actually had the foresight to videotape your reaction? Wouldn’t that have been something? Okay, maybe not. As I recall, I was in my PJ’s my first time, with my hair pulled back, and no makeup on. So, that probably would not have been the best time for me to have become famous on YouTube. LOL.
These days so many people know who Rain is, that it’s really difficult to find “first” reaction videos anymore. I know, because I’ve been looking. But hey, as far as I’m concerned, that’s a really good problem to have, right? At least it is for those of us who are trying so hard to make him a household name way over here in the good old USA. 🙂
I don’t know about you, but I simply love Kpop reaction videos. They are often silly, awkward, and sometimes even downright painful. Still, to me, they’re always fun to watch—especially those that involve RAIN.
Below are a few of my favorite reactions to Rain’s “Love Song” music video. I hope you enjoy.
Black rooms with twinkly lights. White outfits. Black outfits. Matching dance crews. Two catchy-as-hell songs that are made for dancing to and singing out loud.
This is the translation for part of an account (not the whole thing) on DC Inside that references Rain. You can see the original post HERE. Sonya, thanks for your hard work!^^

“Last night I stopped by a convenience store to get a can of beer and saw Rain and g.o.d. buying something in a convenience store, by accident.
Looked like Rain is the youngest of the bunch. Rain was very friendly to [close with] g.o.d., and Rain was also polite to g.o.d. All g.o.d. members took care of Rain, which was nice to see. Rain’s appearance is awesome [broad shoulders, nice body, tall, handsome].
Honestly, I haven’t thought he is that tall on the TV screen, but he is really tall and very handsome and cool when seeing him in person. It is not all about his appearance shown on TV because he looks really cool in real life. I am wondering when Rain will release his new album and looking forward to seeing his great [cool] dancing.”
* Note from Sonya: This person saw Rain the day that he and g.o.d. attended the Minority Opinion VIP movie premiere. This isn’t a fan but an ordinary person. It seems this person has become a Rain fan.^^
