‘Rain’ To Hit Beijing
South Korean singer Rain will hold a concert at the Wukesong Arena in Beijing on March 26.
Since the pop star is also famous for his dancing, this concert is likely to be full of dazzling costumes and amazing dance moves.
Rain became famous after releasing his debut album in 2002, when he was only 20 years old. So far he has released 7 albums, 19 singles and held numerous concert tours around the world.
He is also known by Chinese audiences for his role in the romantic TV drama “Full House”.

AND he shouted out my girl, the celebrated Forever R&B diva Insooni, who is HUGE in their country (S.Korea)! Oh, wow. 😀 (I am assuming this. I don’t know of any other big singers named Insooni.)
I’ve been an Insooni fan for several years now. (HERE is a brief Wiki page on her in English.) I admire Insooni, who is a few years older than me, because she made her path regardless of the difficulties that came of being of mixed race in her country (Korean and Black). She’s highly respected in K-celeb circles (I’ve seen her on idol shows like Star Golden Bell) and revered by the S. Korean people. She does have one hell of a voice.
As some of you may recall, Rain and Insooni both headlined Busan’s National Wide Sports Festival this past June 11th, before he went off to ZEPP.

This is a very personal impression and I just want to share it with all those who, like me, are concerned with the recent news. [about the J.Tune/JYPE merger. ^@@^] I hope this account will give you strength, as I feel our prince has given me so much strength in his 5 hours performance. Thank you for the various fan cams which helped me to re-capture the details, re-live the magical moments and feelings again and again. Photos credit was as tagged. There were two interval dances with laser effects, but I could not remember when they appeared. Black, shiny, leather like jacket with white shirt and black tie, but with camouflage pants and boots. Rebellious, challenging, our prince filled me with expectations as he stood on the stage. And his soft, fluffy gold hair! (Too bad he had to appear at the JYPE Nation concert which revealed his new hair style, otherwise the impact would have been even greater!) He was tall and lean, his jaw lines even more angular and masculine but the fluffy hair gave him such a child like look. The sensation I had with our prince throughout the show was that he seemed to be charged with millions watts of energy and he spared none, discharging himself totally, passionately into his songs and his dances. He had re-choreographed some dances, he created a very cool and sensational “One”.
His dances were wild, erotic and powerful. His vocal was rich and strong. Once he was on stage, he was the best and he was truly the King of the Stage. His intensity electrified the whole floor. There were many photos capturing these qualities. I had chosen a few but they could never describe properly the sensation.

I’m not sure which girl was serenaded at which show… no one’s really been specific about that. But that hardly matters in the whole scheme of things, does it?
Sooooo… here’s the Other Girl lucky enough to spend time with JiHoon. (Holy crap…! Did one of the Secret Service security detail drop her trying to get her up on stage? Oh noes! She deserved a song after that, by heavens.)
Girl, take your hands down for a sec and LOOK at the man before it’s too late and the song’s OVER. Hahaha!

As we said in a previous post, nothing was going to happen to MBLAQ. The Boys would simply continue their business as usual. Why would anyone even think that Rain would let anything happen to his young brothers, much less agree to anything that would hurt them? Honestly, people?
In my opinion, he would have been livid if any of these goings-on had threatened MBLAQ’s future and busy trying to rectify that situation, rather than happily doing interviews and giddily hobnobbing with fans. I mean, doesn’t that make sense?

J.Tune Camp clarifies MBLAQ’s position in the J.Tune + JYPE merge
Ever since J. Tune Entertainment declared that they would be merging with JYP Entertainment, MBLAQ fans have been raising questions over the fate of the group.
MBLAQ’s agency, J. Tune Camp, spoke with Newsen on January 3rd and revealed, “J. Tune Camp and J. Tune Entertainment are separate corporate bodies. We would like to announce that the merge between the two companies has nothing to do with us.”
The company also cleared up the relationship between Rain and MBLAQ by stating, “Rain is just a producer that participates in MBLAQ’s album production. They are of a mentor and student relationship, but we would like to make it clear that MBLAQ is not a group under Rain’s company.”
Regarding the merge between J. Tune and JYPE, the representatives concluded, “They have no legal relation to MBLAQ and MBLAQ will not be seen as a part of the JYP label.”

Miss A signs with J.Tune Entertainment
It has been announced that miss A will be joining Park Jin Young in contracting with J. Tune Entertainment.
According to J. Tune Entertainment, miss A inked the contract on January 2nd.
“miss A, who has been under JYP Entertainment and managed by AQ Entertainment, has signed a new exclusive contract with us. With regards to this contract, there were no separate exclusive deposits involved,” stated a representative of J. Tune Entertainment.
They continued, “The company will bring out all physical and human resources to actively support miss A’s promotions. We will utilize all of our resources to the best of our ability, and through maximizing our revenue and operating profit, we will satisfy the anticipation of our shareholders and fans.
He added, “This year, miss A member, Suzy, will become a powerful Hallyu figure as she debuts with her first drama, KBS 2TV’s ‘Dream High’. Two of the miss A members are Chinese, and as much as they have been preparing to advance into China and Asia even before their debut, we will do our best in maximizing the promotions of this team to the whole of Asia.”
We don’t know what to make of this, since it was reported earlier that J.Tune will be merged with JYP Entertainment in February. We shall continue to keep tabs on developments regarding this.

Korean singer and actor Rain has said that he plans to release a new album sometime this year.
Rain made the comment to reporters before taking to the stage for his concert titled “ADIEU 2010 with Rain” held at the Jamsil Indoor Stadium on December 31, which was attended by about 7,500 fans from Korea as well as fans from overseas.
“I’m going to release a new record which will feature retro style music,” Rain said, adding that he also has a movie coming out soon….

Now, mind you, he’s talking about Korean age here. He did indeed turn 30 in Korean age on New Year’s Day, though in International age (if he lived anywhere else in the world, where you age up on your actual birthday) he’s only 28.

Singer Rain who has turned thirty in 2011, is very happy, “It’s really nice because now here I’m in my 30s.”
Rain met with reporters after his ‘2010 Adieu With Rain’ concert in Janshil Gymnasium on the night of last 31st and said to them, “I’ve always dreamed of being in my 30s”. I’m very happy because I think that I’ve come to turn thirty.”
Continuing, “In fact, there were too many things happening in my 20s. So I’ve been waiting for this day when I turn thirty because I think I could be back to normal by then. I think I can forget about all the complications of life and be free from anxiety even in a brief space of time although I am worn out while I enter the army, so I’m really looking forward to it.” and “I would probably still be busy even in my 30s, but I think I can find peace of mind and allow my mind to take a break during my military life.”
Adding, he gave a hint, “I plan to continue to work as a singer and actor in 2011. My new album will be released in around about April, it would be a shocking retro style.”

The concert started with military outfits after a rather awesome laser display in which a dark figure manipulated green and red beams with his hands. Set to heavy techno music resembling The Crystal Method, it was an awesome way to begin.
He then decided to get rid of his jacket and give the crowd a little of what they wanted. Still very high energy songs at this point and a lot of crowd interaction.
The interactions with his female backing dancers, and this one in particular were very hot indeed. There’s no doubting that she was gorgeous and he wasn’t having to act all that hard….

Yep, that is Rain and the Crew kicking it hard to » Atlanta’s own Kris Kross, at the end of ADIEU! 2010. Haha. (Of course, he looked like » RunDMC while doing it, hoho). Yes, everything was retro about this show as JiHoon said, not only the hair and the clothes.
It’s really cool to realize that by the time teenage cuties Chris Kelly and Chris Smith had made themselves into a household name across the U.S., teenage JiHoon was FanClub-ing and all dressed in baggies and big sneakers like them, and jump-jumping too.
I remember when Kris Kross hit, and my son JT would try every morning to sneak out of the house to middle school with his clothes on backwards. He looked so cute, I had to admit, with his attention to detail (he’s extremely meticulous about his attire being perfect to this day, like Rain LOL). I made a great show of being appalled and making him switch everything back around, like a mom… knowing good and well he would change them back at the school bus stop. LMAO! Awww… I love a good Memory Lane.

Singer Rain made an impressive end to his year through his concert, “ADIEU! 2010 with RAIN,” on December 31st.
The three hour long concert brought in 7,500 fans to see hit track performances by Rain. Starting off with “I’m Coming,” Rain went on to perform “You,” “Even a Day,” “Ways to Avoid the Sun,” “I Do,” “Hip Song,” “The Song That’ll Hold You Back,” “Rainism,” and others for a total of 20 songs.
He stated, “Today is the last day of 2010. I’m so happy today because so many people came to attend my concert. It’s because of all of you that I’m able to perform and feel joy like this.” Rain also revealed a bit about his upcoming album, stating, “It will be a retro style.”
Alongside stunning performances of “ONE,” which included a chair dance, “Touch Ya,” and a rendition of his mentor Park Jin Young’s “She Was Pretty,” Rain attempted to get up close with his fans every chance he got. The audience was seated in an ‘H’ arrangement, and Rain made sure to run to every corner of the concert hall in order to grab as many of their hands as he could.
Fans also had surprise events waiting for them as well. Rain called up one special couple and gave the boyfriend an opportunity to propose. After the success of the proposal, Rain commented towards the man, “Now you have to buy all of my CDs or movies!”
He later called up another female audience member and presented her with a romantic serenade of “My Girl,” much to the jealousy of the remaining audience.
Many foreigers could also be seen in the audience, with people from Japan and even Europe attending in order to show their support for the ‘world star.’

Or maybe, just maybe… now listen to this… maybe with ADIEU (or with the upcoming tour) JiHoon is physically and emotionally bringing closure to the disturbing interruption (by evil forces) of 2007 Rain’s World. Perhaps he’s symbolically finishing that show for himself and his fans.
Oh… oh, wow. That is a thought! And quite profound, if it’s true. O_O
