Looks like Kim TaeWan, a.k.a. C-Luv, Rain’s close friend and colleague (he has been instrumental in co-writing and producing songs for the Rainism album and for MBLAQ… Rain sang at his February 2010 wedding and tortured TaeWan and his bride for kisses galore with “I Do”) is going to be showing up in the DJ booth for a K-Pop talk segment on Sundays at 1 PM. (If Speeding isn’t changing time slots or anything, that is.) Looking forward to it. ^@@^

If you’re still waiting for your RAIN The Best Show Ltd. Premium DVD package to arrive from RAINY, it should be coming, so just hang in there. RAINY finished shipping everything on November 1; I’ve tracked our package and it’s been sitting at JFK Airport in New York for the past 10 days. Which means yours might be there too. (I guess folks here don’t think people want their stuff. *heavy sarcasm*) *{Edited to add: You know, it just occurred to me that Superstorm Sandy did ravage that area. So I shouldn’t have been sarcastic, and I apologize. Sincerely. It was mean.} The good news is that it’s on US soil and will arrive at some point.
Yes, CJE’s sales team in Korea has put R2B on YesAsia for that area (Region 3), but we will not be promoting that version, not when versions targeted specifically for North America (Region 1) are coming from CJE in the USA. Rain’s DVD sales here are just as important as they are over there, if not more so. It is imperative that he benefits from us putting our money and our time into his U.S. numbers so that his projects continue to be distributed here, the way we’ve been asking for years. As soon as we get the info coming to us on the North American DVD release, rest assured we will relay it to you. If you cannot wait (?) or don’t mind having your R2B money count in Asia, just make sure you have the proper equipment to play a Region 3 DVD and do your thang.

R2B: Return to Base has touched down on tarmacs in South Korea, the U.S. and Canada, and is on its way around the world. It has premiered in Vietnam, Thailand, Hong Kong, and Singapore. Malaysia is set for November. Japan is set for December. The latest news is that Taiwan is set for November 23 AND that it will also be showing at the London Korean Film Festival 2012 on November 5 and November 16, in the United Kingdom! Let’s see where else this bird is going to land!

Is it just me, or do the soldiers get LOUDER every week? JiHoon’s got that sway. 😀
I thought they were going to stampede when he got them vacation time. I almost busted a gut when he told the soldier on his his knees (and I paraphrase), “Dude, get up. You’re my senior.” ROFL! And him trying to console the soldiers who performed badly. Aw! LOL! I don’t think I’ve seen anything so hilarious in all my life. We even got half a Hip grind! If you could only see one Consolatory Train out of all of them, this is the one, folks. Awesome!

SONG OF THE WEEK: “It’s Raining”, Track 2 on Rain’s third album of the same name, It’s Raining (2004), touted by many in the industry and the media as the most celebrated hit of his career. It was the second Rain song I ever heard, and pretty much sealed the deal.

Beautiful packaging, great production on the DVDs with excellent lighting and sound. The DVDs are subtitled in English, Japanese and Chinese. The subtitles are only shown when Rain is speaking to the audience—no subtitles for song lyrics. I love the fact that we are able to see more of his dancers and the stage presentation than we normally see on YouTube. Stephe, his musicians are great! They had a lot of “go to church” moments in their orchestrations.”

This really is a cute and funny clip from when Rain appeared on a Japanese TV show the morning after his Rainy Day Tour concert in Japan. The only way to describe our Mr. EyeSmile here is adorable. Just adorable.
A few notes: 1) Check out how LONG the line was to get into the concert. Whew. 2) Rain’s backstage-cam is hilarious, especially when cutie KyuSang starts busting a move and acting up whenever he sees the camera. LOL! 3) I’ve no idea what was up with Mr. Cartoon Platypus, but I wish I did. 4) Near the end of the video, Rain holds up a banner that says “Effort” (endeavor, exertion, strain, hard work, nolyeog) in Hangeul and his name in Japanese ( ピ , Pi).
