Hello, this is Japanese master hina.
I want to report on the creation of a letter file containing Cloud fans’ congratulatory messages to celebrate the 11th anniversary of Rain’s debut.
In total, 234 letters, including 81 letters sent from Mexico, Hungary, Spain, Chile, South America, the Middle East, the Philippines, Peru, and other countries, and 153 letters sent from Japan, have been created on a file.
The following image shows the letters.
(The letters have been made only for him and that’s why I intentionally let the image lack definition to protect their privacy.)
I’d like to thank all those who have participated in this event.
Congrats on his 11th debut anniversary, and we hope he’ll bring his duty to a successful conclusion by doing his very best right up to the end.

We are taking this with a grain of salt and rooting around for additional information, and we suggest you all do the same! The phone number listed is in South Korea. The South Korean website for JiArt Media is now simply a domain page. The phone numbers for JiArt Media in the U.S.A. are not being answered, and all they have here is a brief Facebook page. JiArt was very instrumental in Insooni’s performance at Carnegie Hall in NYC a few years ago, so it is indeed probable that they are handling this festival… There is also a “It’s public/It’s private” controversy going on. The only recourse for Clouds right now seems to be the email address listed below, until we see what else comes down the pike… ^@@^

As you all recall, when K-POP 3D Cinema first came on the scene in August 2012 and showed RAIN The Best Show in 3D on the big screen until December, it was only in Seoul.

Three to four months ago, our Cloud sisters in Turkey announced that they had begun a charity project to donate a music classroom to young Turkish students in celebration of Rain’s 11th Debut Anniversary. They purchased all of the instruments and books, and now that project has come to fruition! This past weekend was the official opening of their “Rain Music Classroom” in a local school, and it looks wonderful indeed. Turkish Cloud head Oluperigelin, in speaking for the group, shared these images on The Official Cloud Fan Site Community yesterday, and asks that everyone please stay tuned for video footage to come.

Artists from all over the world are being invited to choose a subject from 100 local and international individuals loved by Koreans and create a caricature of them that may be selected for inclusion in the Global Caricature Exhibition, showing from June 27 to July 29 at Sejong Center Art Gallery in Seoul. The competition will be held online, from May 1 to May 15, and looks like it might turn out to be pretty fierce.

What has been confirmed by officials at ROK’s Defense Department:

A spokesperson at the administrative office confirmed that the Arirang Festival for World Peace is listed as private and not open to the general public. The spokesperson suggested that the host of the event be contacted regarding how to attend; however, they did not have a name for the host available.

And so, the “news” of Corporal Jung JiHoon participating in a Washington DC fashion show, in hanbok, is greatly exaggerated. (Who’s surprised at more incorrect Rain articles? Anybody? *crickets* Didn’t think so.)
*Note: The military is saying May 8. The press is saying May 7. We’re going with the military on this one—although, it could be a two-day deal (or not). The actual dates should be nailed down in the coming days, so just hang loose and keep your ears open, everybody. Goodness! Rain, SangChu (Mighty Mouth) and his troop mates on the east coast in three weeks! You know, our soon-to-be sergeant didn’t get to meet the Obamas when he was here for the 2011 TIME Gala, to his disappointment, so this just might make up for that. 🙂
We are sending good vibes out into the matrix for the summit between President Obama and President Park, and the Festival Arirang for World Peace. We hope it makes for an even stronger bond between us all. ^@@^

Singer Rain is getting ready to make an appearance overseas in celebration for 60th anniversary of the Korean War commencement. Rain, along with ten other celebrities who are currently in the military, will be attending the ceremony, which well be held in Washington on May 7th.
“World Peace Festival Arirang” will be separated into two parts, and Rain will MC the first half as well as the special performer. In the second half, Sang Chu will take over as the MC, and will meet with former soldiers as well as families of deceased soldiers who fought in the war.
This ceremony will be particularly special, as it is held on the same day as the summit meeting between President Park Geun Hye and Barack Obama in the White House.
