Filming has wrapped on Rain’s and Crystal Liu’s (Liu Yifei) film ้ฒๆฐด็บข้ข (Roots of Dew/LuShuiHongYan) Difficult Love in China. After 50 days of shooting, the movie is now in post-production and will be released in November of this year.
So said the director, Gao Xixi, on his Weibo micro-blog back on May 8.
In the same post, he thanked columnist, magazine editor, essayist, and fiction writer Amy Cheung (she wrote the novel Roots of Dew, which was published in July 2006, and 40 other novels over the span of her career). He also thanked his lead actors, Rain and Liu, the director of photography, and other members of the cast and crew for their hard work.
I got the feeling from the post that he expects the finished film to be amazing, and he asked for everyone’s support.
We’re behind you all the way, Mr. Director. Thanks so much for sharing your picture of Rain and Liu Yifei with you on the set. ๐

Rainย has received another casting offer for the upcoming KBS 2TV Mon-Tues drama โLove Discoveryโ which is set to premiere this August.
A representative from his agency Cube DC revealed toย Star News on May 2, โRain has been receiving casting offer for various films and dramasโฆ Although he has received the casting offer for โLove Discoveryโ, he does not have a particular production in mind yet.โ

Rainโs Hollywood Comeback Film โThe Princeโ to Show at Cannes Film Festival
Singer/actor Rainโs Hollywood comeback film โThe Princeโ will be screened for the first time at the 67th Cannes Film Festival to be opened on May 14.
โThe Princeโ is Rainโs first film following his military discharge last year, and is his first Hollywood movie in five years since โNinja Assassinโ in 2009. This is also Rainโs first antagonist role.
The film is an action thriller directed by Brian A. Miller, and also stars actors such as Jason Patric, Bruce Willis, John Cusack, and 50 Cent. In the film, Rain plays the right-hand man of gang boss Bruce Willis, who plots revenge against John Cusack.
Premiering in Korea in the latter half of this year, โThe Princeโ will officially start marketing and promotions at the Cannes Film Festival. The teaser and movie posters will be released online.
Rain is currently filming for the Chinese film โHong Yan Lu Shui,โ which is set to premiere on November 11, and he will soon be selecting a comeback work for his return to the Korean small screen, as well.

We’d like to send comfort to the lost souls, the survivors, and the loved ones whose lives have been turned upside down by the sinking of the MV Sewol back on April 16.
It’s only a small gesture in the whole scheme of things, but even small things can carry a lot of power, especially when the sincere heart is involved.

Just wanted to keep you in the loopโfrom today until after Mother’s Day, Cloud USA will be on the road.

Terri is flying to South Korea today to visit her nephew (and his wife) who are stationed with the Army there. She misses him a lot, and seldom takes time out for herself and works very hard on her job, so I’m beyond thrilled that she’s finally going to get some well-deserved rest and relaxation, with a beloved relative to boot! So, for the next couple of weeks she’ll be a site-seeing, Cloud-visiting traveler on the Korean peninsula.
I’m hopping in the RainBuggy and heading north to visit my dear friend (and Cloud sister) Dianne in Virginia. We haven’t seen each other in nearly two and a half years, which is a travesty that must be rectified. I am long overdue for some R & R myself to catch up on my fiction writing and reading that has gone by the wayside. There’s no better medicine for me than the serenity of a road trip! Besides, I miss her a lot.
Just how well of an Internet connection Terri will have in Korea is up in the air for the moment, but we’re keeping our fingers crossed that we’ll be able to communicate regularly. I’ll be keeping an eye on the goings-on in the Rainiverse when I can.
I’ll be watching out for any Rain goods I can find in Virgina. I dare say, Terri should find plenty, lucky duck. LOL

Fan made of the week: Rain’s Men’s UNO HK photoshoot, by houj. My Rating: Beyond Adorable. This is one of the very first Rain fan mades I ran across back in the day, and it’s been close to the maternal chamber of my heart ever since. The camera loved Mr. Playful/Mr. Charming/Mr. Professional because he knew just how to make it happy.
The music accompaniment is one of my favorite Rain songs, “Quiz.” It’s one of those cheerful, delightful little tunes that just makes you smile.
Rain is Eternal. Where clouds stay gathered, rain will always come. It is inevitable.
