[ *Edited to Add 4/16/10: Rain has been all over this Poll for the past weeks, from #3 to #4 to #5 and even 6. Voting for the number one spot has officially closed, but the list itself is still open for additional voting and will be until Thursday the 22nd. Let’s get Rain as high as we can, Clouds, not because of his name but because of the way he has influenced a vast swatch of this world. Keep voting for our Ji-Hoon dongsaeng (or oppa, depending on your age)… thanks!
Incidentally, a little birdie clued us in about an article where Ji-Hoon mentioned how he’s watching what’s happening over on the TIME poll himself. If this is true, I dare say he must be quite proud of his Clouds. 🙂 ]

[ *ETA 4/13/2010: As of now, even with our valiant efforts, Rain has slipped to #4 behind Iranian freedom fighter Mir-Hossein Mousavi. With Mr. Mousavi’s stance on human rights and influence on his own country and the world, he should indeed be on this list, and his new TIME Poll position does not upset us. Congratulations to Kim Yu-Na for her new #1 ranking, as well. These two people have changed thinking across the entire planet, as Rain has done, and they all deserve their votes.
It’s not over yet, though. So everyone, don’t be easily discouraged, and keep VOTING. Rain has never given up on anything he has started a day in his life, nor should we. Thanks for supporting him! ]
Calling all Clouds!

It’s time to cast your votes for the leaders, artists, innovators and icons you think merit spots on the 2010 Time’s Magazine’s list of the 100 most influential people in the world.
*
FYI, on the candidates list:
- Rain appears at #48.
- Kim Yu-na appears at #2.
- Stephen Colbert appears at #35.
To vote, click on the person’s candidate listing, and their page will open. Then, above their picture, you will see a slider widget. The closer you move the slider to 100%, the more influential that person is considered to be.
When I voted, Rain was at 50%. Of course, those stats keep changing as everyone keeps voting. Last time I looked, Rain only had 24 votes, including mine. So, all you Clouds need to get in there and VOTE.
AND You can vote more than once. So, vote early and vote often!
We’re counting on you!
Terri :-}
P.S. Please note: While I was casting my votes for some other people, the site started having some technical difficulties. Hopefully those will be cleared up soon. If you experience this, just check back later. It may be that they are getting so much traffic that the site can’t handle it.

8 years ago this month, Ji-Hoon debuted as Bi & our lives changed.
•April 1, 2010 • 7 CommentsIn April 2002, our Magic Feet launched himself into the air, flew off on the journey of a lifetime (with his first album “n001” and very first hit BAD GUY), and has never landed. Oh, there was turbulence (Team S. Korea was prominent in the World Cup a month later and took Korea’s complete attention away from his new single), but instead of starting a whole new album, Bi came back strong with a second track from n001, “Instead of Saying Goodbye.” Victory! The public belonged to HIM. That album should have been called SMART GUY.
(I always get dancing-happy and then teary-eyed watching this video that we absolutely treasure: “Instead of Saying Goodbye” goes #1, and a humble mega-icon is born. Mentioning his father and late mother brings Bi to tears. Courtesy of dukedik2.)
As we understand it, with his second album, the English translation of Bi came into play: RAIN. And the rest, as they say, is history. So during this fine April, Clouds, remember our motto:
Support Rain this month with a Happy Anniversary card or a silver lining letter (you choose your own stationery at your favorite store—have fun with it!). Let him know that though he is lonely at times, he is never truly alone because we are all with him. As our Asian, European, and Latin sisters have taught us—without Clouds, there can be no Rain. — Stephe ^@@^
