Hello lovely Clouds!

Since Rain’s Back to the Basic comeback has been delayed until next week, I thought it might be a good time to update you on some of the latest numbers I found for Ninja Assassin.

According to Box Office Mojo, Ninja Assassin has now Raizo’d in a respectable $61,584.491 USD worldwide, and is ranked at #27 on their chart of top-grossing Action-Martial Arts films from 1980 to the present day.

But wait!  There’s more.

Rentrak Corporation’s weekly performance charts lists Ninja Assassin’s DVD sales at # 3 (week of Mar. 14-20) and its Video on Demand sales at #5 (Mar. 15-21).

FYI, the film is greatly enhanced by its Blu-ray presentation.  Whereas I saw mostly shadows during the fight sequences in the theaters, on the DVD things are different.  The ninjas are spectacularly creepy as they slide out of shadows.  The extreme choreography of the action leaves you breathless.  And the gushing blood becomes the highly-stylized, over-the-top effect you just know the movie’s creators intended it to be.

For all you ninja movie and Rain buffs out there, Ninja Assassin is a film you definitely should NOT miss.

Wishing you all many Rainy days,

Terri :-}

  1. yeah, really good news..Box office is just a little off. they tell you that their internationals figures may not be correct because they only update once per week. they are just a little off according to my spread sheet, which is checked more than 4 times. the actural figures are $61,590,252 mil. it’s just a little under 6k difference due to some increased numbers at overseas theaters. just did my update today. thank you for all these reports. i know this must have taken a while.
