Asian news source Money Today has reported that Rain caught the eyes of many people when he stopped at Youngpoong Bookstore on May 24, at around 4 PM. A netizen whipped out his or her camera and captured these pictures on the scene. Rain was in casual clothing that made him look like a college student, and was there for SBS TV Midnight Entertainment News’ program Star In An Interview with Jo Young-Goo.
People were simply enthralled with how much younger his attire made him look (more like Lee Joon), and how many talents he really had, and of course, they talked about Rain’s broad, broad shoulders.
Rain will also be appearing on MBC Golden Fishery’s Radio Star on the 26th.

KBS GLOBAL 5/26/2010 — Even on a rainy day, the heat continued to rise in Seoul Sangam World Cup Stadium.
Star Korean singers such as Rain, Lee Hyo Ri, Wonder Girls, 2PM, and Super Junior came together at Seoul Sangam World Cup Stadium on May 22 to have a harmonious performance. The concert, entitled “I Love You Korea: 2010 Dream Concert,” was held in Sangam to wish good luck to Korean soccer players at the 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa. The concert, which was hosted by the Korea Entertainment Producers Association, had the stadium shaking with all the cheering from more than 40,000 audience members.
Kim Hee Chul, Ok Taek Yeon, and Shin Se Kyung hosted the concert, and representative star male and female singers Rain and Lee Hyo Ri appeared….

Back in 2007, you could game and game and GAME with Rain to your heart’s content (or until your Internet provider cut you off, whichever came first). On-Air Online was one of those places, and as we understand it, it also had a mall where players could purchase accessories, clothing, pets, additional dance abilities and power, et cetera. (It may only be on an Asian Internet server now because we weren’t able to pull the site up.) » Audition Online was another popular game where fans tested their mettle using Rain’s music and moves. When I first saw Rain’s bio on MTV, it looked like it was still in MTV’s regular actor’s bio format, colors and all. Well, I’m pleased to report that MTV has finally updated Rain’s bio page. So, now his bio is displayed on a “golden popcorn” award background, with the “Movie Awards Nominee” blurb above his photo, just like all of the other nominees’ bios.
Now all we have to do now is VOTE for him like crazy until June 5th.

Hello lovely Clouds,
I’m so excited! Every single day I’ve been checking to see whether or not someone would get their act together and send MTV a bio for Rain’s 2010 MTV Movie Award nomination. Every day, I’d tromp on over to MTV, log in, vote and then check Rain’s name for that magic underline and index finger that would tell me Rain had a bio linked to his name. And every single day, I was sorely disappointed…
…until TODAY!
After work, I did my thing. I tromped, voted and all of a sudden: VOILA! There it was! The amazing hand that practically shouted, “CLICK ME.”
So I did. And this is what I saw:
All I can say is THANK YOU “Rain’s people”—whoever you are.
Not only did we get a bio, but we also got a filmography, some photos and, yes, even some clips of Ninja Assassin and a couple of interviews. How absofreakin’ cool is that?
Yes, it’s a very small biography—succinct and to the point. But that appears to be the standard fare over there, so that doesn’t bother me in the slightest. At least now U.S. fans will be able to read a little SOMETHING about Rain over at MTV.com. And if they wanna know more, they can always just pop on over to Cloud USA and read everything else about him, right? :-}
Thanks, Clouds, and big HUGS for making some noise for Rain over at MTV.com. I truly think you had a LOT to do with his getting a bio up sooner than later. And for that, I applaud you ALL.

Recently on the Invincible Youth idol reality show, G7 girls Narsha (Brown Eyed Girls) and Yuri (SNSD) and several gagmen (Korean comedians) had a heck of a lot of fun. The first gagman, Heo Kyung-Wan, sported chocolate abs for the camera. The second gagman, Han Min-Kwan, only gave us chocolate ribs, though he tried. And of course, g.o.d. legend Kim Tae Woo was involved in the whole thing. LOL! — Stephe ^@@^
I’m not disappointed in the least that visuals of Rain doing the song aren’t interspersed with the scenes from the movie, and you shouldn’t be either. Why? Because the worldwide implications for Rain are far more important than him not being in one video in the course of eight years. From this point on, anyone across the world who watches this MV will see what, front and center, even before they get into the action? RAIN (BI): HIP SONG. And what will they hear? That hot urban beat and Rain’s smooth, distinctive voice. And they will say, “Who the hell is Rain?” And they will go find out.
From this point on, Rain, Hip Song, Columbia TriStar, Karate Kid, Jackie Chan, Jaden Smith, and memories of all the original Karate Kid movies that came before (with Pat Morita and Ralph Macchio) will be forever linked. It doesn’t matter that this is the Korean original soundtrack for the new movie; because of the Internet, this Hip Song MV is now being played on every continent on the planet. And whoever buys this soundtrack will be buying Hip Song. (And MTV and who knows how many other music portals will be playing it.) This means incredible exposure for Rain. Incredible. And as his fans, that’s what we’re supposed to be about, right? We already have a gazillion videos with Rain in them, and are bound to get a lot more. The global recognition he’ll get with this Hip Song/Karate Kid MV should be more important to us than anything else.
This appears to be Rain relaxing up in some sort of sky box after his 2010 Dream Concert performance. We say after because when have you ever known him to relax before going on stage? His usual preparation for a show is quite methodical, and is one of continuous practicing, costume adjustments, and deep concentration, step by step by step backstage. If this is before he sang, then he has changed his M.O. quite drastically.

SS501-Triple S Philippines Blog 5/23/2010 — ‘2010 I Love Korea Dream Concert’ has ended in success with all its popular singers on the move.
On the 22nd beginning since 7PM at Seoul Seongsan-dong, Seoul Worldcup gymnasium stadium, the 16th Dream Concert was held. Though rain poured down even before the concert began, none of the 40000 fans who was clutching tight onto their raincoats and balloons yielded in to each’s passion. Dream Concert was held in 2 parts, and was carried out across an approximate 4 hours. The MCs were Super Junior’s Kim HeeChul, 2PM’s Ok Taecyeon, as well as actress Shin SeKyung.
The luxurious opening stage was held by UKISS with ‘Morago’ (What) and ‘Manmanhani’ (Be Full of). After which, RAINBOW came up next with ‘Gossip Girl’, then FCUZ with ‘No One’, ZE:A with ‘Throughout a day’ (Haru jongil), f(x) with ‘NU ABO’ and ‘ME+U’, Davichi with ‘Time, please stop’ and ‘I made an accident’, Mblaq with ‘Y’ alongside CNBlue with ‘Love’, and then BEAST with ‘Shock’ & ‘Mystery’, thus exhibiting a charisma overflowing stage presence.
SHINee then continued with ‘Ring Ding Dong’, right after which, SS501 who hasn’t shown up on the stage for a long time appeared. Recently, leader Kim Hyun Joong who was involved in a car accident and because of his injuries, they weren’t able to perform to a dance item, which was why on this day, SS501 sang to ballad track ‘Haruman’ (Only One Day/Just One Day) and ‘Let Be the One’ (from upcoming new album).
Kim Hyun Joong has expressed, “Due to inevitable circumstances, we thus sang a ballad” (this was after Haruman was sang), and “We are sorry to fans”, thus apologizing.
‘World star’ Rain then continued to perform to ‘Hip Song’ and ‘Song to hold you back’, thus taking Part 1 to an end. Rain then said to the audiences who remained unyielded in their position despite being in the rain, “Even if it was raining, many of you still came to give support without fail, thank you”, expressing his gratitude….
As reported in Triple S’s great write-up, it Rained! (It did, actually rain. Ha.) Dream concert proceeds will be donated to various charities, and the show itself broadcast on the 30th, starting at 3 in the afternoon and pre-empting Inkigayo. — Stephe ^@@^

Today’s Hip Song stage on SBS Inkigayo (Popular Songs) was quite special. Rain and Crew supported the South Korean soccer team (the Reds) by wearing official All The Reds shirts and by having the audience yell the national cheer during the performance. “大…한민!국!” “Dae…han-min!-guk!” (The video racing game background behind them was pretty cool.) Very inspirational, and a nice thing to do for the Reds. Great job, Ji-Hoon! — Stephe ^@@^

Asia broadcast 5/22. Continuing from last week: we’re on the cold, nighttime streets of Seoul, finishing up the MV for Love Song. Rain is in creative mode behind the camera as well as in front of it, running the vision he sees in his head by his hyung. Speaking of running… he did “pound the pavement” a few times. Then it’s time to get blinged-up for Love Song’s dance portions. Having done lots of theater work and some filming for TV, we weren’t surprised by the lighting tricks used by the production crew, but you might be. It’s funny what you don’t see in the finished product! And of course, Rain had to get his Golden Abs pumped up for the strippin’. Ha.
Try not to SWOON when the camera gets a closeup of his biceps. How many of you would like to have that J.Tune jacket his assistant is sporting? (ATL hat alert! ATL hat alert!) *Note: We’re guessing that there is lots more Bling footage, Clouds.
