[posters] From Stephe’s desk: Great minds… R2B and San Andreas.

Hollywood blockbuster San Andreas was definitely on my Must See Movies list, so I could hardly wait for the official posters.

When they finally hit, I did a double take and grinned.

SANANDREAS2B

Yes, Rain was an Air Force jet pilot in Korean blockbuster R2B: Return To Base, and Dwayne Johnson (a.k.a. The Rock) is a helicopter pilot in his newest film. The two movies are nothing alike, with the exception that both lead characters are constantly flying into danger, I got that. Seoul was set afire by North Korea, L.A. was set afire by earthquake.

I’m just saying that when it comes to the official posters, great minds were thinking alike.

Thumbs up. 🙂

  1. @Fluffy_tale, you are right but that’s okay. Top Gun was probably a remake from some film in the 40s or 50s, who knows. In the US, Hollywood has done nothing but remake films. Especially in the last decade or so. All movie industries draw from what others have already done, so it’s all good. It’s just that, to me, it gets boring after a while ya know? Same ole, same ole.

  2. yep. 🙂 Though in fairness it must be said that R2B is almost a remake of Top Gun.
