With the 2014 MAMAs approaching and Rain nominated for four awards, how could I not revisit his eagerly awaited gorgeous-in-pink performance at last year’s ceremony?
I still remember the utter excitement as, in the audience and around the world, we all waited for the Fabulous 7 to take the Mnet Asian Music Awards stage, and that excitement bubbling over with the roar of crowds when it finally happened.
Rain and crew had taken a quick break from ZEPPing in Japan to fly to Hong Kong for the performance. They were all so nervous because of everything that was on the line (one mistake would be glaring and ruin Rain’s official comeback to the music scene after being gone for so long in military). Not only did they KILL IT, Rain hit his split on that raining platform way up in the air. Bravo! After their victory, back to Japan they went to finish Rain’s 2013 ZEPP concert tour.
