I am sure I am not the only one who appreciates his look during these performances – the patchwork vest (no shirt), the gloves, the long hair, the hat, the leathered-up pants, the huge belt buckle, and the medallion necklace that moves as fluidly as he does through the choreography. Sizzling.

Even amid some of the more animated and vocal fanchants here, the one thing Ji Hoon did not give to the fans in this performance was his signature smile.  The cute was not at all what this performance was about. This performance was a full on assault. As he allows the music to take over his senses and his body, he relays that back at us with fierce intensity. What I have learned in watching Rain perform is that intensity pours out of him with such force, there is no way to avoid it, stop it, or cap it.

When my heart beats as if it’s gonna burst,
Little by little I’m…  (ssss, ahhh, ssss, ahhh)
I can feel the blood in my body getting hotter. (ssss, ahhh, ssss, ahhh)
When I close my eyes as the music rises,
In my ear there’s… (Rain. Go, Rain. It’s Raining. It’s Raining.)
When an unbearable thrill explodes in my body,
In my ear there’s…  (Rain. Go, Rain. It’s Raining. It’s Raining.)

This is what it must feel like when you are living your passion. At any moment, it is ready to explode through and from you. To experience such must be a heady combination of both agony and ecstasy. Much like love, right? Is the ‘ssss, ahhh, ssss, ahhh’ the burning fuse to the inner grenade that clearly detonates during this song?

I really appreciate Rain’s early decision to live so honest and raw right before our eyes.  And I love this provocative song that unleashes the sexy badass in him every time, every time.

    • Hi Lydie!! Thank you for comment SO MUCH! It makes me happy to hear you enjoyed the post! Rain is such an amazing performer. And although the song may be the same and the choreography pretty well set, he ALWAYS manages to bring something just a little bit different. He doesn’t get stuck in the same routine even if it is the same song The mark of a great performer.

Rain knows that his fans are repeat offenders…LOL!! Meaning they see him perform multiple times (and sometimes right in a row). It is actually very very thoughtful of him to change it up, don’t you think?!! Such a sweetheart and without question a master at the fine art of fan service!! ^^

Thank you again!!! I have more coming with that series.
