Rain followed by his fans even while using an escalator
Singer Rain gathered a crowd wherever he went in China.
On the 12th, CFP, one of Chinese news media, released a new photograph that shows Rain visiting China’s Shanghai. In the picture, even a place where he personally tried taking a meal was filled with his fans.
The news report said, “Rain showed up at a restaurant specializing in dimsum dishes in Shanghai’s Xintiandi with his acquaintances and body guards that day. He was met by his loyal fans getting his destination beforehand everywhere he went. (at the entrance to a shopping mall, in elevators, at the entrance to the restaurant, etc.)
While he was eating in the restaurant, they were even waiting for him outside. After the meal, he signed an autograph for a woman waiting for him outside as if he was in a good mood. And then, he and the others left the site.”
After his discharge from the army, Rain returned to the stage through Bangkok’s Sonic Bang in Thailand on the 24th of last month and visited China’s Shanghai to promote a cosmetics brand for which he works as a model.

I would not follow him because i would be so awed I’d be frozen on the spot trying not to have a heart attack from shear joy and bliss. But truly he has to feel pride and happiness that he is so admired – deep down inside. Do sort of feel sorry for him not being able to be like a regular person without being followed. Has to be sort of scary because one never knows when some crazy person will do the unthinkable. Scary, scary.

With all the sincerity in the world. I feel bad for the harassment of some fans to rain, I think he should be upset you can not eat in peace without being watched and followed by fans and media wherever you go. Sorry, but it’s my personal opinion. but is the price you pay for being a world star.

Hi, mina. 🙂 I totally understand where you are coming from, and you’re not alone in your thinking. Other fans have said the same thing. There were some fan cams that I didn’t post simply because I felt bad about the way Rain was being hounded in them. And, as you said, that is to be expected when you are a mega-superstar. I always wonder how he manages to handle it all…

I TOTALLY agree. And I know Stephe does too, because we have often talked about it.
Think about it. You’re waiting for your car to arrive at a venue. You get a call on your cell phone. It’s a private call, so you step away from everyone around you to speak to the person on the phone. Next thing you know, photos of you on your private phone call are plastered all over the Internet. And it looks like the photographer was hiding behind a column. Ewww.
You’re at a hotel pool sunbathing, and someone snaps a photo of you from their balcony overlooking the pool–without your knowledge. That photo is plastered up everywhere too. Really? Heck, you can’t even go shopping in a mall overseas with your crew and buy souvenirs without people creeping around behind you, watching you. Or trying to bust into the restaurant you are eating at. What is WRONG with that girl?
I’ve heard people try to argue that, as a public figure, Rain should expect people to do these types of things. The problem is, no one can predict stardom as huge as Rain’s. So, I’m pretty sure that that was the furthest thing from his mind when he was trying to get off the streets and feed his family. I doubt he thought, ‘Oh, let me be such a huge star that huge crowds of women follow me wherever I go–and hate all of my girlfriends. Yeah. That’s the ticket‘
AND I’ll bet if any of these things happened to any of these fans out there who do these kinds of things, then they would be screaming at the top of their lungs that these scenarios were invasions of their privacy. Which they would be. And they would be invasions of privacy no matter WHO they were.
The argument that Rain is a celebrity and so he should expect such behavior is bull dookie, plain and simple. That is something they say to try and excuse their behavior. *buzzer noise* WRONG.
So. You will never see any media on Cloud USA that we feel invade Rain’s personal space too much. Others may think differently, and that is their prerogative. However, if any fans want to see those types of media for Rain, then they will just have to go somewhere else to get their creepy fix. Because they certainly won’t find one here.
