Thailand Sonic Bang 2013 was most unforgettable.  I had a close view of our prince on 3 different occasions.  Three impressions of one gorgeous prince.

1.  At the airport on his arrival.

Many fans gathered and wanted to give a big welcome to our prince, but the airport security staff was very strict.  We got by and moved into the waiting area holding a piece of paper with the name 정지훈.

As soon as our prince walked out he was directed to the backdrop of Sonic Bang for photographs.  Not much expression on his face but he bowed and smiled politely as the ladies presented him with welcome garlands.  Our prince walked right past me as he was escorted out of the airport.  I could see his eye under his sunglasses, and I could not forget the tone of his skin.  It was silky smooth, like he has put on a creamy layer of peanut butter.  (Sorry prince, this may not be appropriate, but that’s what came to my mind^^).  My sight froze on his face and I couldn’t remember anything else.

2.   At breakfast in the hotel.

Our prince is tall and with a beanie on, he was easy to be spotted.  It’s good to see him not as a celebrity, but a very attractive young man who caught your attention even when he dressed very casually in a sleeveless top, shorts and sandals. We kept our distance so as not to disturb his breakfast.

He walked around the buffet table a couple of times to choose his food. My friend wanted to get some dim sum but he was there for a long time.  We dared not go near and afterwards we realized we never had a chance to taste the dim sum.   The sight of our prince was more appetizing than any food^^. Our prince had a very healthy diet.  We didn’t see him walking to the ice cream bar, and he only took a look at the dessert area and turned away.  May be this is pre-concert body management?^^

3.  At Sonic Bang 2013 concert.

We lined up early and with some luck we managed to get to the first row of the stage.  We sat through all the performances to wait for our prince’s stage. Tablo of Epik High asked the audience which artist they wanted to see on the day.  We all shouted Rain and he pretended he was not interested and said “I don’t know that guy.” The lead male performer of a local group also mentioned about our prince, and did a parody of his dance.  He laughed embarrassedly afterwards, but we cheered for him loudly.

At last it was the stage of our prince.  We heard his voice but we couldn’t see him.  When he appeared finally I was dazzled by our prince in white!  It had been such a long time since we saw him live on stage, not in uniform.  Our prince is back.  Rain is back!

Our prince is very slim, very fit, very handsome and full of energy. There are lots of photos and fan cams already so I will not go into details. His performance was great as ever. Even non-fans were impressed by his talent. I just quote what was written in Bangkok Post: “Rain, fresh from completing his period of military service, was enjoyable with his perfected dance moves and vocal delivery.”  (http://www.bangkokpost.com/lifestyle/music/366745/respectable-debut. )

And our prince surely knew how to charm his audience. He winked, he smiled, he said I love you, he teased us with his hip dance, he enticed us by pulling up his tee, he was in great mood and he had us all under his spell.

As I watched our prince, I felt keenly that he had prepared his stage well.  He wanted to embrace all his fans and he wanted to give them his best fan service.  He ran to the far edges of both stages frequently and evenly, looking and acknowledging fans in all directions.  He had not forgotten the many male fans in the hall and asked “What’s up, my men?’ And of course he won’t leave us out and asked “ What’s up, my girls?” He asked people to jump and dance, and when they did, he awarded them by telling them “you are my girl”!  He would throw a cute smile to us or stick out his tongue like a naughty boy.  This was enough to make us scream.  No wonder one of the newspapers said “the prize for loudest fans was won by… Rain.  The decibel level exploded…” (http://www.nationmultimedia.com/life/One-helluva-bang-30213485.html)

We were mesmerized!  Our prince had not even taken off his tee.  Boom hall itself could have exploded if he did^^.

I was very close to the stage so I could see his sweat dropping down.  I could see his abs and the sexy hair on his abs. I could even read the D&G label on his underwear.^^  I could have just glued my eyes on him and got lost in time, but before we realized he had already performed 12 songs in an hour, and his stage was almost over.

He told us he would sing his last song “Instead of Saying Goodbye.”  We all shouted “No”, we wanted more.   After this last song he went off the stage, but nobody left the hall.  We shouted encore, encore.  We shouted Jung Jihoon, Jung Jihoon.  We knew the next line up was PitBull, but we just wanted to see our prince a bit more.  We continued chanting encore, Jung Jihoon.

And then he appeared again.  But instead of singing an encore song, he moved down the stage and ran around the hall, stretching out both hands.  I was lucky enough to touch his fingers.  Some fans were even luckier as they managed to touch his hand twice.  He then climbed up the stage again, bowed and waved goodbye to us, and said before he disappeared , “I’ll be back!”

Thank you dear prince for a wonderful concert in Bangkok.  Hope you have enjoyed yourself as much as we have enjoyed every minute of your show!  You are truly King of the Stage and we can’t wait for you to be back again!
