[Announcement] Plans for Official 8th Cloud Fan Meeting are Underway

So sorry it took me so long to get this information posted. For those of you who don’t already know, an official 8th Cloud Fan Meeting has been planned for the afternoon of Saturday, August 3, 2013.
This fan meeting is only for official members of The 8th Cloud, Rain’s official fan club in Korea. Members can get all of the details on how to attend the meeting at the following link on The Cloud’s website: http://www.rain-cloud.co.kr/board/view.asp?mstSeq=23&mstpSeq=&bcmSeq=8&seq=55945&page=1&searchType=title&searchStr=. Please scroll down to the English instructions and follow them carefully. If you are an 8th Cloud member and you have trouble following the instructions, please contact me via e-mail at terri@cloudusa.org
Please note that there is a critical deadline occurring at 10 PM KST, on Thursday, July 18. So, please do hurry and read the notice.
Please also note that we have been instructed not to share the exact details of the event outside the club membership. So, that is why I’m being a bit cryptic here. I am sure that Eighth Cloud members will share photos and fan accounts of the event as soon as they are allowed.

Terri, thanks for answering my question and Bialamode, thanks for explaining in detail about fan meetings. Im not surprised that Rain meets with his fans, he is a classy, humble, love and appreciate his fans kind of guy. By the way, I was glad to put ur faces to ur names in the Release video for Rain, glad to meet both of you, along with the other cloud fans.

Glad to meet you too Kerry. I have been coming to the blog since pretty much the beginning. I was at another site, came here by happenstance and I’ve been here ever since. This is a very special group of ladies and I’m happy to be among the group. It’s all because of one sexy Korean man named Rain, who we all hope to meet someday (except for miss Gee who beat us all to the punch….lucky lady!). *SMILES*

I never heard of this. Are you saying that Rain meets with his fans up close and personal in Korea? Oh, I hope someday he can do this with his U.S. fans because I just love Rain and would like to meet him up close and personal. I’m from Pittsburgh, PA. Keep us U.S. fans posted, and thanks for the information.

In answer to your question…..Yes. That is what a fan meet is like in Korea (but not too close now….SMILES). Most big name celebs (be they singers or actors) have their own fan meets with their own group of fans periodically. We are Rain’s Clouds, Lee Min Ho’s fans are called Minoz and Lee Seung Gi’s fans are called Airen. Essentially, the celeb meets with his fans/fan club kinda one on one (a concept EXTREMELY foreign to American celebs). Rihanna’s fans are called Navy and Beyonce’s fans are the Beyhive but U.S. celebs just don’t have fan meets like they do in Korea.
Unfortunately, Bi’s fan meets have only been in Korea up to now. We U.S. fans and those of us who are 8th Cloud members can only hope that someday he will have a fan meeting in the U.S. Until then, we will have to be content with any fan pics that may come our way. Bi has had quite a few fan meets over the years btw. This isn’t new for him. Hope that answers your question. *SMILES*……………………………………………………….

Thanks for sharing the news Terri. Looking forward to the photos and videos of the fan meet. This fan meet should be like a “welcome home” reunion! There should be lots of happy fans in the audience and on the stage. 🙂

Hi, Sarah Jane. Nice to meet you. 🙂 The 8th Cloud is Rain’s official Cloud fan club that originates out of South Korea (Terri and I and several others here are members over there, but not all of us).
You will be able to join when the executive board of the official Korean Cloud opens membership again. (The last membership drive was 2 years ago, but now that Rain is out of the military, they are probably making plans for another one, we just don’t know when it will be yet.) We’ll be sure to put a notice up here on Cloud USA so that you all know when Korean Cloud membership is open.

Lucky 8th Cloud members! very happy to hear he is soon meeting his dear Clouds that love and support him so much. Cloud USA go represent. Lets keep fingers crossed that he will come over and do some fan meetings here too. I want to meet Rain and I hope to soon be a 9th Cloud member. Please and Thank you!

We are really hoping for that, Maria — that fan meetings will no longer only be in Asia, seeing as his fandom has gone so global while he was gone. But only time will tell. Our fingers are crossed!
