Do whatever the heck you want to, Rain. Smile away. The Media hasn’t ruined any other celebrity soldier’s discharge day as far back as we can remember because they’ve been saving all of their rancor up for yours in particular, which is pretty scuzzy. Don’t let them dampen your pride in what you have accomplished. Six hundred-plus days for someone who didn’t choose the military as a career is nothing to sneeze at.
You’re damned if you do, and damned if you don’t. Whatever you do, somebody in South Korea will declare it WRONG. So don’t even worry about it. Just step out of there with your head high, and be yourself. That’s it. And then go on about your business. Anyone who doesn’t like it can sit on it and spin. ^@@^

Rain faced with the dilemma of whether or not to laugh on his discharge day.

It has been decided that Rain will be discharged from the army on the 10th as scheduled because it is considered that he didn’t make a big trouble after a military concert in Chuncheon city on the 21st of last month.

You know what’s so sad about all this? I was reading all the comments on other sites for articles about him not getting in trouble for the last thing he supposedly did wrong, and translated comments from K-netizens and they are out for his blood! I’m worried for this guy, seriously.
I wish the military would be honest and let people know that they allowed all celeb soldiers to do random crap. I know for a fact that Heechul barely wore his uniform, if ever, and yet he’s not in trouble and I’m quite sure there are many others. Rain was perfectly fine until he was forced into the Entertainment side and now look. Smdh. I’m so annoyed! This is supposed to be a happy day for him and his fans, and instead we have to worry about if he’s going to be hurt or get told off or if Korean non-fans will show up and start something.
Ugh.

Agreed yes welcome back 🙂 but I don’t think we should worry he will be good ..fine indeed. I’m sure he won’t let them ruin his good mood . He will come out on top when he walks out the gate of freedom. I mean gate of freedom because he will be free and does not have to worry about following the military rules and what not. Walk away baby love jjh and be free . Fly away and don’t look back :). No more stress of the military :).

Rain should look at his fans, tell them thanks for being here and ignore the media completely! But he probably won’t do that cuz he’s well mannered and a good person. He should do whatever he wants, if he wants to smile or not, if he wants to dance and take his clothes off that would be fine too! He’s FREE!! 🙂

I also agree that there is no issue here.. should not be .. he deserves the freedom and all the smiles he has to give because he is the best kind loving hardworking I have known. He is the brightest star in the night sky so baby jjh please shine away and do not tell them I’m sorry don’t even look at them.. I know it will be hard it is your nature to be so polite but they do not deserve it . They need to take back what they dished out accept that they will not get answers from you . In the words of Family Guy: You know what really grind my gears? To think that he might feel like he shouldn’t smile or be happy and I know if he could he would drag himself through broken glass if they ask him to, his entire service lasted 21 months, did he complete the 21 months? yes he did… He completed his training (may I say, with flying colors), he was then appointed Entertainment Soldier, did he fulfilled his duty? YES HE DID, he went to every single presentation, EVEN WHEN HE WAS HURT, he went to every event he was sent to and I think we all know FOR SURE, he probably wanted to stay inside and just not see any reporters, and don’t even get me talking about “the probation issue” and how extremely unfair that whole thing was, it seems most people only saw part of what happened, let’s put aside the “vacation disaster”, which was completely explained, by DEMA officials, he did his probation for not wearing his hat, fine, I have atleast 23 pictures of soldiers in duty, even of higher rank, not wearing their hats but ok moving on, HE DID HIS PROBATION, no questions asked, but I didn’t read any of the same netiezens who poured all their lives frustrations and broken dreams on Rain, either taking that into account, or asking for the Dispatch reporter to do some probation himself, HE should have been the one taking a week off and reading some books “How to help to spread human kindness instead of human hate…” or “PRIVACY and its meaning”, and then we as clouds get dismiss because our opinion doesn’t count because we like him… ROFL! We have been here since day one, DAY ONE, October 11th of 2011, day and night, through all of it, we have seen the respect and dedication his has put on everything, he has done, EVERYTHING he did, remember that Walkathon? How can someone stand that way, the way he did, when he probably felt he was surrounded by the same people who deliberately destroyed everything he had achieved so far, and his words, his words!! PLEASE REMEMBER ALL I HAVE DONE, the frustration he must have felt, an yet you could see he was sad, SAD…
And the turmoil of emotions, from having to walk away from your life, to something you know would be probably the hardest thing you will do, stay away from family, friends, your love one, all your things that are familiar or comforting for you, even when he was able to get out, still knowing he had to come back… an interrupted life by something that shouldn’t exist on the first place. I wonder if those people who wrote he should repeat the 2 years again are aware of what they are asking, he is not just an artist, he is someone’s son, someone’s brother, someone’s provider, someone’s friend, someone’s love…someone’s life inspiration…
If I could be there when he gets out, I will say: YES you get to smile, I understand it’s difficult for the investigation taking place, but you get to smile, because the people that care, that have been waiting for you, we know, and it is carved in our hearts, all you have done, first-class marksman, teaching assistant for the 5th division’s recruit training center, entertainment soldier: every Consolatory Train presentation, from the Seoul Peace Concert to Yeosu Expo until ROK II Corps on the 21st of June; every event, The Vietnam Korea Friendship Concert at Hanoi Army Theatre, hiking with the children with autism, 306 Supplement Enlistment Cultural Festival, Love Of Country Walkathon, Arirang World Peace Festival at Washington DC… your work as a radio host; and the recognitions you received, when you were appointed as The 9th Military Ambassador, the plaque you received from Gangnam-gu’s Mayor…and the smile on the soldier’s faces, the kind words from your superiors and soldiers mates, who whenever they spoke about you had nothing but wonders to say about your kindness and presence, and how they felt happy and welcomed whenever they were around you…
So you get to smile because you completed this part of your life with an unbreakable grace, in life nothing is perfect, nothing, there were always be bad moments and evil people, and you get to smile because yet again you were the one that show us that there is good also and righteous people and you are one o them, so our love is completely justified… you have made us proud and you will keep making us proud… You get to smile beacuse we all feel in our hearts we should hug you and say THANK YOU for all the hard work…

Ya am I the only one who thinks the more fans there the less likely the media can get to him . jjh let the fans get as close as they can to block the media … one may get through but easier to handle.. hell a fan could accidentally brake the electronic for him as a decoy. I don’t normally think this way but jeesh the media are dogs In heat .

Here, here Lilli….couldn’t have said it better. For it to EVEN BE a question…..to smile or not is so BEYOND asinine. I can’t even fully articulate how incredibly “@ss backwards” it is. First of all, who the heck even puts thought into how their facial expression is going to be in a given moment in time??? That’s just CRAAAZY!
Bottom line, if even one person is at the gate that JiHoon cares about and vice versa (fans/loved ones alike), then just SMILE Honey Love…..just smile. The ONLY person who gets to control YOUR facial expressions is Y-O-U!

What should he do?……..as stated in the post, he should do as he pleases. Personally, I would walk out with a hoodie over my head….jump in a waiting car and fly like the wind to my place of residence. As far as the media goes……”Eff’em.” On July 10th, he can officially not give a sh__t.
Of course, that’s what “I” would do. I Know that Jihoon Jung will not be that hard core. He’ll be nice and accommodating to the reporters and fans that show up there. He just will….it’s how he is, but the Korean media truly deserves NONE of his time at this point. Not one millisecond.

If I were him I would look my fans straight in the eyes, thank them for all of their loving support over the two years I’d been away. Say: “I hope you’re all ready for my comeback, because you haven’t seen ANYTHING yet.” Blow ’em a big kiss, and then get in my car and drive away as FAST as I possibly could from that hell hole.

I can’t believe this is even an issue, and who cares. As of the moment he walks out that gate he’s no longer a soldier and he can strip down naked and run the streets if he wants to. …. well we’d want him too I’m sure the police wouldn’t look kindly at it. {wink}

LOL. I think that the Clouds should totally block the Media from getting near him at all. If I were there, I would definitely coordinate something like that.
See, we could just fan out around the Media? And then when someone gives the word, we could link arms and form a fence and just inch them out and keep them there. It could happen before they even knew it was going on. Hee hee hee. I’m in the security business, and I could totally work it. I swear I could. 😛

If Rain feels like a smile for his served military time, he should be true to his own feelings and not to the press or otherwise. He as been transparent up to now so why change his personality at this momentous juncture in his life!! Just turning his lips up a little at both ends would definitely be a smile to the cameras! AJA AJA FIGHTING is what I say to Rain.

He should be who he is .. and smile be honest . Tell them should it come up and it will probably will. Tell them I feel like I’m in a such and such at this moment but, no one is perfect and I did my duty with my whole heart. I cannot control other soldiers minds . I could only guide and give orders as to related to service. They are old enough to make the right choice. Or he can be him self with a little smile and do what is best and not feed the media any comments accept for I’m sorry . And keep walking . That way the media has nothing to get him on . The words I’m sorry can be for many reasons. He needs to mysterious. That way they do not get the pleasure they seek.
