From Stephe’s desk: Mum’s the word.

{*Edited to add: This post is not concerning anything posted here on Cloud USA. And it does not concern anything that any CloudUSAer has done. Thanks, all! 🙂 ^@@^}

Okay, Cloud sisters and Rain fans. I’m not your mama, but apparently this still needs to be said.

By now, the main information about Rain’s discharge (date, time, location, etc.) is already known by everyone who needs to know. Please do NOT post further fan club information and specific details for fans on the Korean CLOUD up on the Internet for the Media to hunt down and use for their own agenda. Pass fresh information on by word of mouth, email, private messages, or the like instead, which is pretty simple to do these days, until this next week and a half are over.

Posting such things only give certain news organizations and anti-fans what they are looking for. When it is so obvious that they are trying to start another Rain witch hunt—even with no footage of Rain but him walking down the street during someone else’s scandal, I might add, LOL—why would you do that?

It’s not that we have anything to hide. It’s just that people out there can be unbelievably nefarious.

Let’s use some common sense, and be more careful.

My advice: Mum’s the word. ^@@^

  1. Let me say further, just so that there is no confusion:

This post is NOT about anything being shared from Cloud USA. You all can share, link, or reblog any of our posts or share anything that you like off of our media blog, Facebook, and Twitter. That is why we keep things so open here. Makes us really happy for you to share and pass things on from Cloud USA, so that other fans can find Rain and they can connect with him and fans like themselves. No Rain fan should be out there all alone.

This post concerns things posted on Rain’s official fan community site in Korea, The CLOUD. Not here.

We try to be careful with what we post, so you don’t have to worry about what you’re sharing. Just have at!

    Thanks, all. 🙂

  2. Good to know. Sometimes we forget that the information we put on the internet is available to everyone and the media is hunting for any information about Rain. 🙂

  3. Point taken. I don’t get it. What happened to wanting to “feel” the exclusivity of being IN a fan club and the privacy that would be indicative of that exclusivity? Maybe The Cloud will have to change the rules on how it disseminates information to its members. Maybe some information should only be disseminated directly to your personal email.

    • I’m sayin’. They’re going to have to take a harder stance on stuff like that, especially with the vicious way Rain is always treated by the Media. I know other clubs wouldn’t put up with it. Your membership would be revoked with a quickness.

I’m the last person in the world to try to be clique-ish, that just isn’t me, but when it comes to Rain or the club possibly getting reamed out in the public because of private business, I am not down with that.

  5. Yes, everyone, please, please, PLEASE be quiet.

And all Cloud USA’ers, please hear this: if you are a member of The Cloud and you post any private club business outside the member areas of The Cloud’s fan site, then I am going to be pissed as hell at you, and I am going to reprimand you right here on our blog. I’m not kidding.

Now, back to your regular programming.

P.S., if you’re going to Seoul to meet Rain as he comes out of that gate, it’s OK to say so and it’s okay to gush about your trip with us on the Internet. In fact, we will be heartbroken if you don’t. However, I caution you not to talk to any Media you see there at that gate (or anywhere for that matter). There is no telling how they will twist your words around. Please know that they are NOT Rain’s friends or fans–no matter what they say. So, please PLEASE be extremely cautious around the Media. I just feel the need to say that to global fans, because we sometimes forget (albeit briefly, sadly) just how mean-spirited the Korean media can be towards Rain. Thank you.

    • That’s how Park ShiHoo’s fan club’s “laundry” got aired all out in the public, when it was nobody else’s business but theirs and his. The Media ran across something and ran with it.

How much is in your treasury, certain purchases, receipts, private records, certain messages from RAINY and stuff like that should always stay on a private club bulletin board and NEVER be copied and posted on the Internet as public information where reporters and anti-fans can come up with a way to use it against Rain. It boggles my mind to see stuff like this regularly thrown out there to the winds by certain people. If a Cloud is interested to know that info, they should take their butts on over to The CLOUD and read it for themselves. One of these days, it’s going to backfire, and Rain is going to have a whole new slew of articles to worry about — because of Clouds.

      • Yep. This is a BIG problem, and is exactly what we are talking about. The point is the Media is sniffing around and we don’t want to give them any fodder, do we?
