[update 6/2][info][R2B] Word on the street: Black Eagle for rent on Blockbuster.

Posted by: Stephe, Managing Editor ^@@^

{*Update 6/2/2013: Straight from the horse’s mouth… Redbox will not be carrying Black Eagle for rent after all. Thank God for Blockbuster and all the local places that are, and Walmart, Best Buy, and the stores that have it for sale. ^@@^}

Someone asked on the blog today where they could rent Black Eagle, and so I went looking for it, seeing as it is supposed to be out there and available. I found it online at Blockbuster. It’s even got a nice review there.

I’m not sure why they’re showing the French cover (Aigle Noir), but I don’t think that’s of any consequence because when you click on the option “View all versions to rent and buy”, the North American DVD cover pops right up. And when you click to watch the Black Eagle trailer, it’s the North American movie trailer that you get.

(» Click HERE to go to this page on Blockbuster.)

I haven’t attempted to rent it myself (because I have a Black Eagle DVD and an R2B: Return to Base Blu-ray), and I haven’t been near a Blockbuster to see if it’s physically in the store, so if anyone out there decides to give renting the movie at Blockbuster a try, please let us know how it goes and if this is on the up-and-up.

I didn’t find the movie for rental or for streaming at Netflix or at Redbox, and I haven’t seen it in any of their rental machines in my area. I’ve sent them inquiries as to when they will be making it available.

  1. Also, if they’re low on money like me, I’ve reserved it at local library. Inquire so they know of the interest.

  2. I’m in Illinois now and here it’s at family video stores. If not just ask the people at any video store and they can order it if they don’t have it in the store, I paid 20.00 or 22.00 for mine.
