SONG OF THE WEEK: ” Love Is (Sarangiraneun Geon) 사랑이라는 건”, Track 5 on his Vol. 5 album Rainism (2008). This song is so beautiful, it hurts. » For English and Hangeul lyrics, check out this video on YouTube. It’s also my father’s favorite Rain tune, and made him a fan for life (that AND R2B). If anyone happens to be talking when “Love Is” comes on, unless the house is on fire or someone’s life is at stake, he will be telling you to HUSH up and turn it up. During his first listen, when Rain got to the end and said, “How’d it feel, baby?”, Daddy turned to me with this huge grin and went all Coming To America on purpose. “That boy can saaang. He good. He good!” I just cracked up.

G.I. Joe, G.I. Joe, G.I. Joe……..awesome movie! Although I did like Olympus Has Fallen the best out of the two. However, to of THE Best reasons to see G.I. Joe (1) Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and (2) Lee “Lord Have Mercy” Byung Hun………O – M – G!!!

I just simply love him. I love this song. I first heard him sing it live and loved it then, even prefer the live version, but this is so wonderful, I’ve tried to find the song itself, but can’t, but I will diligently keep looking for it. Thanks for the vid guys, it’s awesome, but it’s Rain (aka Baby) would we expect anything less, oh and you guys rock so hard, thank you or gomapsamnida!

You’re welcome, Connie, and thanks! 🙂 To me, “Bad Guy” showed the Triple Threat right away — his acting, his singing, and his dancing. JYP knew exactly what he had on his hands, by God.
You could actually SEE in Rain’s character’s eyes that he was NOT going back to prison under any circumstances the last time he turned around, and he was most definitely not going to shoot the policeman. Suicide by cop. Well done, JiHoon!

OMG! We went to see “Olympus Has Fallen” yesterday and it was so good…violent but good. I gotta say it’s also the scariest “what if” that I’ve seen in a while. I don’t want to go into too much detail for those who may not have seen the movie yet, but this movie is so apropos for what is going on right now between North Korea vs. South Korea and the U.S. Of course there were a couple of scenes that were so “Hollywood” and wouldn’t have a snowball’s chance in hell of happening in real life. However, this was one thought provoking movie that’s hitting seriously close to home right now.

When we got to the theater it was a toss up between G.I. Joe and Olympus. Olympus won out….G.I. Joe is next. I gotta see Dwayne!! Fast and Furious will be next when it comes out also.
