  1. And THIS is why, in my opinion, official 8th Cloud $$ business that is posted on the private bulletin board on The Korean Cloud should STAY THERE and not be copied and pasted and posted on fan sites all across creation.

PSH’s fan club, under fire for what they have spent on him. Whether they spent too much or not isn’t the point. The point is, it’s no one else’s business.

    http://blog.dramafever.com/2013/03/full-text-park-shi-hoos-fan-club-responds-to-recent-news/

Reports of what The Cloud does with our 8th membership money is private, not for any and everyone who wants to look at it. And while everything is pretty much on the up and up in the treasury, that doesn’t stop anyone who wants to make trouble for Rain and Clouds from using that kind of information to lie and twist stuff around and get netizens and the Media all on Rain’s case again, for the heck of it.

It’s really odd to me how some fans don’t seem to realize that publishing private 8th Cloud monetary info puts Rain at risk, when it does. What are they thinking.

If you’re 8th Cloud, you should be going to the private bulletin boards for that kind of news anyway, and if you’re not going there, you should just miss it, then.

    😦

    • Wow! This makes me mad. Everyone should know by now that the Korean press has no sense. Nor do netizens. So, I do hope that if any Cloud USA members decide to join the 9th Cloud during The Cloud’s next membership drive, you will keep in the forefront of your mind the critical importance of keeping club business private.

This is asked of us not because The Cloud is trying to hide anything nefarious. It is because they know how vicious and deceptive the press, anti-fans and netizens can be. And it doesn’t take much fodder to get them started at all.

After going through the New Year’s debacle with Rain? Well, let me just say, I don’t ever want to go through another scandal like that again, ESPECIALLY because some unthinking Cloud posted private club business that is misconstrued and is used against Rain. I have always been of the opinion that anyone posting messages on The Cloud that they asked us to keep private should be plonked (banned) from the club. One and done. I am even more inclined to think that way now.

Let me also add that regardless of what The Cloud decided to do to members who spill private club business, we will ban anyone here on Cloud USA that we discover distributing private club material. That is how serious we are about it. And that’s saying something, because we have never, in the three years of our existence, banned ANYONE.

Poor fella. I can only imagine how horrifying this entire scandal is for Park Shi Hoo’s fans. What happened to not guilty until proven guilty? Does that even exist anymore? And what the hell happened to real journalists? Where are THEY?

      Boggles my mind.

    • Oh my. I just read this report. I am convinced the media/netizens are made up of a bunch of crazy people. Just picture “I’m a Cyborg, But That’s Ok” (minus Bi) and you got the Korean media and netizens.

First of all, does it even make sense that a working actor would even ask for expensive items, etc. from his everyday fans. He makes a helluva lot more money than his fans could probably even raise at any one time, so he can buy whatever the hell he wants and then some…on his own. I think this actor’s “scandal” has more to do with the sexual assault allegations and they are tying the fan club stuff in on top of that. It’s an effort to really make him look unsavory. I don’t know how anyone would want to be a celeb in that country I really don’t. You have a “choke collar” around your neck and must “dance to the tune” of the fans and anti-fans alike or be publicly crucified. Not to mention, so-called fans turn on a dime. Geez, where did the love go so quickly?

Loyalty? Responsible journalism? These, unfortunately, are antiquated notions in 2013. People have long since stopped believing in these ideals.

      • BiAlamode,

Call me a cock-eyed optimist, but I think there are responsible journalists out there. The problem is they are few and far between and they don’t get any play these days. Unfortunately, scandalous headlines sell a lot better than the truth. Sigh.

And the more digging I do into the Park Shi Hoo allegations, the more frustrated with Park Shi Hoo I get. Even if he is innocent and nothing happened except he let a friend a two girls he didn’t know very well crash at his place, or even if he simply had “consensual” sex with a girl he didn’t know very well after a night of hard partying, doesn’t he know better? I mean, come ON. Even for regular people, this type of behavior can cause serious problems. Insane fan girls and money-grubbers are EVERY-freaking-where. But for celebrities, don’t they have to be especially wary?

I guess what I’m trying to say is that although I feel terrible for all parties involved in this scandal, it wouldn’t have happened at all if Park Shi Hoo had been thinking with his upper brain instead of his lower one and had sent everybody home.

      • Oh, one more thing.

I’m not being hard on Park Shi Hoo because I don’t like him. I’m being hard on him because I have seen personally what false accusations can do do to someone. They don’t just make you miserable. They don’t just make you sad. They destroy lives and families. And you are never the same afterward. No matter how hard you pretend to be. I’ve also see the aftermath of rape and…well, I’ve simply got no words to describe that horror. So, I won’t even try.

That’s why I’m frustrated when I read about someone being so careless and not using good judgement–especially someone who has SO much to lose, like Park Shi Hoo. Certainly, hindsight is twenty-twenty, though. So, I’m sure now Park Shi Hoo realizes what a foolish mistake he made.

I am truly hoping that the police prove he is not guilty of such a heinous crime and that his career will be salvageable. But I do hope his real fans understand that the Park Shi Hoo that survives this ordeal will not be the same one he was before. I’m not necessarily saying that’s a bad thing. That’s just a fact.

And you’re right, BiAlamode, about Korea’s fickle fandom. They will turn on their celebrities just like that. It’s nuts.

        • You know, I never even heard of Park Shi Hoo before this article…but yes when you are in the public eye like he is, you may just have to let your careless crazy friends go. You have to be smarter when you have a career to lose. I think celebs forget that all their hard work to become successful can all go “poof”….up like a puff of smoke, especially when your success is contingent upon the public “liking” you. Hopefully, he didn’t do what he is accused of, but you’re right false allegations are a mofo and over there they are “insane.” So I would say try not to be stupid, if it’s at all possible. But alas, men (no matter the culture) always end up letting their “johnson” take control and it’s usually at the wrong time in the wrong situation with the wrong people.

All I can say is….good luck Park Shi Hoo, hope it all works out for you homie!

          • So true.

I just don’t get it, though, when a guy, who has so much to lose and who is so smart for so many years, lets his “johnson” get the best of him. There are so many examples of this kind of idiocy here in the U.S. that I could list the guys for days and never finish. So I won’t even bother. Sigh.

    • Thanks for the insight. I’ve gotten a crash course this year on netizens and news articles . I’ve never seen anything like it. And the craziness this week that surrounded GD of Big Bang was another eye opener.

      • OMG. What the hell happened with GD? I’ve been too busy all week to keep up with K-Pop.

        • GD posted a picture on his Instagram of Rihanna connected it with his Twitter account and said on Twitter. “I love @rihanna , that’s my f**kin problem #Rihanna #inspiration” It caused strong reactions from some of his fans. Some of his fans don’t know who is Rihanna so they thought GD was declaring his love for some women. I read posts to GD like “You’re dead to me” and “GD, you’ve changed”. People posting they were crying …and “why her?” etc. Others were posting that GD needs to be careful of Chris Brown. Then there were those celebrating that a Korean idol was willing to post their liking of a Black woman and not caring what others thought about it. Saying GD was down with the chocolate swirl. And more idols should follow GD’s example and be honest and admit liking who they like no matter their ethnicity. GD had very positive and very negative reactions to that picture and his comment.

THEN the next day GD posted on his Twitter page in Korean that fans were hiding out at his house and this was scaring his mother and sister when they come home at night. He asked fans not to come to his house. This ended up on allkpop and lots of discussion on there and Twitter about GD’s family safety and how the obsessed fans have gone to far with their “thirst” for GD.

            • Yea, this is what I was talking about when I mentioned somewhere here on CloudUSA the importance of celebs having a “net home” aka official fan community website for their fans to go to voice their love and their concerns to their celeb. YG does not allow foreign fans to join the official fanclub of Big Bang known as VIPs. One requirement to join the official fan club is a S. Korean ID much like our SSN. This automatically excludes anyone not living in S. Korea. To access the fan board you must have your username and password from your official membership. Hence, no foreign fans can access the official fan board. So when stuff like this week happens all the blow up and meltdown shows up on Twitter and Instagram instead on a fan board where it can be managed and monitored by admins.

With an official fan community issues can be addressed and official statements can be made. GD should not have to post on his Twitter page for fans to stay away from his house. Can you imagine Rain having to post something like that on Twitter? Heck no. First of all Clouds have better respect. But even if there was some kind of issue the Cloud site is where stuff needs to be and actually IS addressed. This keeps Rain’s relationship with his fans manged and any issues kept “in house”. Not splashed all over Twitter. This is why I don’t understand YG not having a unified place for the VIPs like a fan community open to all. The VIPs are very segmented and not unified globally.

All of this has me appreciate Rain much ….much more. His fan community exist for all fans. And admission to the official Clouds is not limited to people living in S. Korea. I realized this is rare among S. Korean celebs. Rain once again is blazing a new trail. And it works. The Clouds are a very unified and supportive collective worldwide.

Rain is, indeed, an amazing fellow. As are his Clouds.

I’m sorry for him but at the same time, mad because he should’ve being more careful. Now, his career is going down the drain. Sighh You’re all right fans in Korea can be awful. :/
