[ETA instructions on how to find Rain’s Profile Page on DEMA’s website: To locate Rain’s profile page on DEMA all you have to do is go to DEMA’s home page here: http://dema.mil.kr/. Then, scroll down a little bit and look to your left. You will see a slideshow of all of the PR soldiers. It looks like this:
Click the right or left arrow to find Rain’s photo and click on it. That will take you to Rain’s profile page. Scroll down and you will see all of the messages from Rain’s Clouds that The Cloud members are posting for overseas fans. You’ll also see messages in Hangul that Rain’s Korean fans have left him. To date there are 226 PAGES of messages. So, there’s a lot to read. Have fun reading them and looking for your own messages. Terri :-}]

Despite the fact that Rain has completed his period of confinement and has written the letter of apology and the two book reports required of him, the South Korea media continue to spread misinformation about his situation like a wildfire being fed by the Santa Ana winds. At first, Rain’s official fan club (The Cloud) asked everyone to refrain from engaging DEMA or the Korean media, for fear that Rain would suffer an even bigger backlash. Finally, however, they have realized that their staunch silence is not going to change anything, and they are now concerned that Rain may be getting upset at the unfair treatment and may be beginning to feel “embittered.”
As a result, The Cloud Executive is now asking us to send positive and supportive messages to Rain, via his profile page on DEMA’s website. How can we do that exactly? Well, the only way those of us who do not live in Korea can post messages on DEMA is if someone over there in South Korea posts them for us. The Cloud members who live in Korea have agreed to do this.
All we have to do is post our very short, supportive messages on one of the following threads on The Clouds fan site:

★Supportive messages for Rain from Cloud fans all over the world★
I guess many of you have mentally had a really hard time.
Out of regard for Rain, who had to be careful about what he did so that people would not talk about him while he was placed under probation, I asked you to refrain from rash actions. However, some articles which are still long on spite and short on fact even after his probation period, might be ingredients that make him bitter.
I’ve shared some thoughts with huhuhuhu about a desire to send him supportive messages. I think the time has come to translate words into action to show support for him. Let’s describe our love for him by leaving supportive messages for him on DEMA homepage website.
The deadline for this project is the end of this month. [January 31, 2013]
If overseas Cloud fans leave their supportive messages for him below (see thread links above), Korean fans will deliver them to the bulletin board of DEMA.
It will be easier if we’re more flexible.
Stories must be limited to 100 (English) characters, including your nickname. If not, your message may not be delivered to the bulletin board.
I hope you will leave messages which [will] show your continued support and steadfast love for him without complaining to the Ministry of Defence.

Yeah. They have a gazillion messages over there now. Okay, well, not THAT many. But still it is taking them some time to get through them all.
And the good news is they just KEEP ON COMING! Isn’t that awesome? And they’ve like 12 days to go until the end of the month. I wonder if The Cloud knew what it was getting into??? LOL.
The wonderful thing is Rain’s profile over there DEMA has 189 pages as of tonight. Or maybe I should say the sad thing, because the other stars have only have a few pages each. Even Kim Jae-wook, who is pretty popular (Mary Stayed out all Night, Coffee Prince) only has like 7 pages. WHERE THE HECK ARE ALL OF THEIR FANS??? It’s baffling.

I do believe I’ve posted everyone’s messages as of tonight. If I post your message, I will leave you a reply letting you know that I did. If I somehow missed your message, please let me know, as it was just an oversight.
However, I do encourage you to please PLEASE try to register yourself on The Cloud’s fan site, so that you will be able to read all of the wonderful news and information there firsthand. The Cloud is Rain’s official fan club in Korea and they are the closest to the most reliable and real Rain news and information that you can get. They are always Cloud USA’s first choice source for information about Rain.
There is also an English Talk board over there under World Clouds, and a Letter Board, where you can leave your very own letter for Rain. Those letters are delivered to Rain by his fan club (now that he is in the military and can’t read them on the Internet for himself at the moment).
You can find instructions on how to join The Cloud’s fan site on our “About Cloud USA” page on Cloud USA’s website here: http://cloudusa.org/about.html. That page tells you all about Cloud USA and how it fits into Rain’s world, as well as all about The Cloud, Rain’s official fan club. The page also shares information on how you can register on The Cloud’s fan site and shares information on how you can actually become a paid-up member of The Cloud, Rain’s “official” fan club in Korea.
(Please note: we highly anticipate that a new membership drive for The Cloud will take place sometime after Rain completes his military service. So, please start saving your money now. Last time, the membership fee for membership in The 8th Cloud cost $55.00. We don’t know exactly how much it will be next time, for The 9th Cloud, but that at least gives you a $ amount to shoot for.)

I don’t know the answer to your question. However, I’m guessing that the 9th Cloud will start sometime after Rain gets out of the military. Whether that will be in 2013 or 2014 is anyone’s guess at this point.

Then, you should be able to post a message. If the Cloud beside your name is not BLUE, then you are NOT an 8th Cloud member. 8th Cloud members joined up with the official fan club last year by paying a membership fee. You can read all of the How To’s about The Cloud on this page on Cloud USA’s website here: http://cloudusa.org/about.html.

Ah. I see. Well, it may take a while to see them posted, as it is going to take the clouds time to do that. The link to DEMA is in my post, but here it is again: http://dema.mil.kr/. Then you have to scroll down and look to the left and you will see photos of the entertainment soldiers in a slideshow. Click on the little right arrow and find Rain’s picture. Then click on it and it will take you to his “profile” page.

Thanks Terri. I found Rain’s page and I see all the comments left for him. Looks really good. I’m glad the Clouds are doing this for him. I think it is important he receives very public support from his fan base that is highly visible (like the DEMA campaign and this blog) and also the much less visible public support he receives from his registered fans on the Cloud as well as the private support he receives from his fan mail. Rain fans seem to gravitate to one of these types of support more than others so Rain gets the variety that I hope is helpful to him.
