Yes, CJE’s sales team in Korea has put R2B on YesAsia for that area (Region 3), but we will not be promoting that version, not when versions targeted specifically for North America (Region 1) are coming from CJE in the USA. Rain’s DVD sales here are just as important as they are over there, if not more so. It is imperative that he benefits from us putting our money and our time into his U.S. numbers so that his projects continue to be distributed here, the way we’ve been asking for years. As soon as we get the info coming to us on the North American DVD release, rest assured we will relay it to you. If you cannot wait (?) or don’t mind having your R2B money count in Asia, just make sure you have the proper equipment to play a Region 3 DVD and do your thang.
R2B: Return to Base / Return To Base / Soar Into The Sun / Black Eagle has touched down on tarmacs in South Korea, the U.S.A. and Canada, and is on its way around the world. It has premiered in Vietnam, Thailand, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, at the London Korean Film Festival in England and Scotland, and in Indonesia, and in Taiwan. The premiere in Japan is underway as we speak. There is no telling where else this bird is going to land, so everyone be on the lookout.
As of this moment, 6300 yellow ribbons for Rain have been added to Twitter and Facebook icons since the Brigade was started. Amazing! SONG OF THE WEEK: “But I Love You”, Track 11 on Rain’s Vol. 3 album It’s Raining (2004). I could have sworn I already had this as a Song of the Week, but checking back in my records, sixty weeks’ worth… nope. What was I thinking, huh? 🙂 Like many of Rain’s songs, this one has been subbed in English, Turkish, German, Italian, and other languages, so there is something out there for everybody.

Well you knew it was coming. Saw reports on this on FB this morning. I’ll say here like I said on Pink Fashion Ninja’s post, it’s the price of fame and specifically fame here in the U.S. I also said if you are an artist looking to cross over to the U.S. market expect it. You may also want to invest in some Tide, Gain, Oxyclean and wash the “dirt” off your drawers, because if you’ve done it/said it….somebody will find it. So it’s best to “clean up” as much of your reputation as you can beforehand and if your stuff gets exposed, then make it right, be Sincere and move on. Bad publicity doesn’t necessarily ruin reputations anymore (as it probably should) just ask Robert Downy Jr. Or at least specific reputations.
Psy had to publicly apologize because he is set to perform at Christmas in Washington in which the President will be in attendance. Anti American sentiments being exposed right before you perform before the sitting American President….not a good look. Who exposed it? Was it a political move? who knows and probably. So everybody is wondering if Psy will perform, will he be asked not to, etc. My personal opinion is he will probably still perform, the President will take some heat and this situation will probably blow over sooner rather than later. We’ve got a “Fiscal Cliff” to work out right about now, so Psy’s comments aren’t the priority.

@Lotus, snooping indeed. The tabloids over here are just as bad as anywhere else. They are in the business of collecting and selling “dirt” and new entertainers from overseas will be considered “fresh dirt”….(how’s that for an oxymoron) for the American mainstream. The strongest entertainers and the ones with the most talent will survive it and be ok. It may sound sick and twisted but Americans “forgive” a lot of sh__t as long as they’re thoroughly entertained. I’m still trying to figure out why R. Kelly remained a free man, but hey he’s got new music out….go figure.
Oh and thanks much regarding my avatar pic…..LOVED Carmen Jones, specifically miss Dorothy Dandridge ever since I was a young girl.

Actually it depends on the amount in your pocket and how valuable you are and/or still could be in the industry. And as far as R. Kelly is concerned he’s a pig! But he’s making a lot of people money. Now if the public would completely exhaled an entertainer they would have no choice but to drop them or atleast hide them behind the scences. Sorry but that’s just the way it is. It’s all about the mighty dollar.

And just so our Korean family understands big, BIG bucks can be made to give up dirt on entertainers, personally they could never pay me enough cause I don’t believe in turning on a friend or anyone. I think its pretty sh*tty!, but its sick how money will turn even your best of friends.

I agree…that’s exactly what I meant when I said the entertainers with the most talent will survive bad publicity. However, I need to amend that statement. I should have said the talented/valuable ones who generate a sh__t load of money get the “P.R. machine” behind them and the bad publicity soon blows over and they get back to their careers. Let’s face it, some entertainers have questionable “talents” but still generate a lot of money, so you are right it’s their “value” that will save their career not necessarily their talent. Although, I was trying to equate their talent with their value. I know….that was SO “old school” of me. *SMILES*

It”s funny that you mention that, the other day I was watching this show called…Dish Nation. One of the radio hosts had made the comment…”Do you think Taylor wears all those frilly dresses to keep her goody-goody image alive?”……I thought it was funny and wondered how different would it be if she dressed differently. She certainly isn’t shy about her relationships and doesn’t think twice about writing songs about them…lol. No offense to anyone but she is overrated to me, but then again there a lot of famous artists in the US that I think are overrated right now.

LOL! You know it took me a “minute” to notice also…Because she is SO clean cut. One day hubby said…”that Taylor Swift is something” I said “what do you mean?” and he said to me “that girl is knockin’em down one by one.” It took his comment to really make me notice (guys DO key in on that sort of thing). I said to myself you know what he’s right, that girl will soon be in the “double digits”…LOL!!

Well Mari, I was just reading a post on Taylor Swift and Harry Styles (One Direction) this morning on another blog. The post shows Taylor and Harry exiting her hotel this morning within minutes of each other. Harry looking all like “yeah I’m the man”…..LOL!
It seems we are aren’t the only ones to notice how Taylor navigates her “get around” ways. On the comments below somebody called her….quote a “tramp in disguise.” I was like WHOA that was harsh, but then again I thought……well….umm….sorta….kinda. LOL!
I don’t dislike Taylor, only making an observation. I just thought I was the only one who saw how she operates….BUT apparently not. *SMILES*……………………

I like Taylor Swift, in fact, my younger daughter loves her so I can’t talk bad about this girl at home! Lol!! I’m talking about Taylor here cuz I know my daughter will never find out! Taylor is a great performer, write great songs but she should keep her private life, well, private!
