Please NOTE: As Rain mentioned on his Speeding Instinct show on Friends 96.7 FM military radio this past weekend, he and KCM will not be hosting Speeding this coming weekend due to a conflicting event on their schedules.
R2B: Return to Base has touched down on tarmacs in South Korea, the U.S. and Canada, and is on its way around the world. It has premiered in Vietnam and Thailand; now Hong Kong and Singapore are set for October, and Malaysia is set for November. Japan is set for December. Let’s see where else this bird is going to land!
Don’t be thrown off by the name changes in some countries. That kind of thing happens all the time in the industry, and it is for the good of the movie. For instance, I hear tell that when Captain America: The First Avenger was released in Russia, the Russian authorities decided to drop the “Captain America” because “The First Avenger” would play better to their audiences (for political reasons, I’ll bet, and I agree). It’s about getting more people into the theater. Everyone on the planet connects Soar Into The Sun, R2B, and Return to Base with RAIN, anyway. It’s no big deal, folks.
As of this moment, 6131 yellow ribbons for Rain have been added to Twitter and Facebook icons since the Brigade was started. Amazing! Ok, I just went to Rainy Entertainment to the DVD link of the payment/list info. Two things I’m not clear on
(1) Which on is the right delivery charge? 52,000 or 4,000 Won
(2) There wasn’t an actual list on the page, I see where you said don’t put out our addresses, etc. So will they do another list of just names not addresses? Just curious.
I just really want to make sure my coins are right for this delivery charge.

I’m not sure what you are asking. The delivery charge is based on the quantity of DVD packages you order. So, according to their chart, if you live in the U.S.A. and you buy one DVD package, you would pay 52,000 KRW for the delivery charge. If you ordered 3 packages, then your delivery charge would be 82,400 KRW.
Where did you get 4,000 KRW from?
We don’t know if they will publish a list of names/orders yet. They may once they receive your payment, because they will want to make sure they haven’t excluded any purchasers. But we will see.
Everyone remember to get your payments in by October 26. And that means by the 26th over in Korea. So, that would be October 25 here in the U.S.A. They are ahead of us in time over there.

And yes, the delivery charges to and from Asia are ridiculously high. It’s annoying, but it is what it is.
I still have posters to send to Asia, but I had to wait on a payday to send two of them out, because the postage was incredible.

I ordered one DVD and I saw the 52,000 on the list. I was confused because I saw a post regarding the list of names and delivery charges and below I believe I saw the 4,000 unless I was mistaken. I know overseas charges are high I get it.
The names list I don’t really care about, just wondered is all.

On The Cloud, I went under “Notice” then “Rain News” then I clicked on the second post by Ratoka. At the very bottom, there are comments. One was made by Stephe telling Rainy Ent to be careful of publishing names and addresses in public. The next comment under that is an “English Translation”, it’s in that translation comment that the 4,000 is mentioned under Remittance.
Maybe it’s for the locals. I will just pay attention to the delivery charge on Rainy’s list.

Plus: It looks like the time to submit your payment is between 10/15 and 10/26, and they start sending the DVDs out on 10/19 (seems that’s where the 2-4 days lag time comes in).
My guess is that, when we send in our PayPal payments, they will compare that name, country, and quantity with the name and quantity they have on file in your original pre-order email, and thus know who is who. They might do another confirmation list with just names later, but I don’t know at this time.
I’ll be putting up a post tonight. The only reason I haven’t yet is because the start of the payment/order period is still three days away.

P.S. Not to be funny, but 6 ordered in the States? Really? I know the DVD package isn’t cheap, but still, after all that bellyaching… Really? Aigoo. O__o
Just out of curiosity, I wish I could see how many were ordered on the independent site for Korean and Japanese fans. Seeing as the producer had to go back and make a bunch more in order to fill our orders, that number had to have been off the scale. Woot for Rain!

Let’s think positive. Maybe this chart just means that individual orders in quantities of 1, 2 and 3 came from the U.S.A., not that there were only 6 DVD packages ordered from the U.S.A.

Aww Sang Doo’s song is one of my very favorites! I loved that drama, even though is tragic, I loved the way the writer did the father/daughter relationship. It was precious and Rain did such a wonderful job as an actor with the girl, who btw, was an excellent actress too. I wonder what happened with her. The pict. is adorable, he looks so innocent and young! Agh my Baby, how I miss you!! 🙂 Sighhh
