That’s right, everybody. Someone knowingly and willingly hijacked a Cloud USA video, removed the beginning and ending tags from it, and re-uploaded it with different music, as if our YouTube moderator JJ’s time-consuming work was all theirs.
And the kicker is… it appears to be the same person who took harudoful’s RAIN 4 fan made back in June.
Here’s a tip, dear. If you’re going to steal other people’s stuff, at least take things that aren’t so obvious. JJ’s unique style is well known across the Rainiverse; anyone can easily spot one her videos from a mile away, and it took me all of one second. Nothing else looks like a JJ vid. Better yet, STOP stealing. I don’t think Rain’s motto mentioned anything about disrespecting your fellow Rain fans.
Be good now, and take it down. If I wasn’t so dumbfounded, I’d be laughing.

WOW!!! (O.O) I can’t believe someone can do something like this to another fellow Cloud, specially if you know how much work, time and creativity goes into making a video. What’s the point of doing this? I can’t understand it. I thought the point of making a video is to show YOUR CREATIVITY, YOUR POINT OF VIEW, YOUR OWN STYLE and YOUR LOVE FOR RAIN!! I’m in shock, seriously! I’m sorry for JJ cuz I know her work is amazing, so much so that people want to steal it. Unbelievable!!

I too think it’s ashame to do things like this but I do have one question. I have made some videos too and use pictures from Cloud USA and others that post pictures. Please tell me that’s not stealing if I didn’t mention where are who I got the pictures from. I never want to step on another love and creatativity of Rain.

No, no Gee, you haven’t done anything wrong.
The truth is, every image of Rain legally belongs to him alone, no matter who claims it is “theirs” or who is being given credit. Fans can argue this point all day, but according to the law, any picture with his likeness on it belongs to him (and possibly his management company at the time it was shot), even if they took it with their own camera. (That’s why you see people’s faces pixelated or covered with smiley faces and stuff in photographs on the Internet sometimes.) It is definitely a courtesy to mention where you got one from, but it’s not always possible. So many of Rain’s pictures have been passed around, and tagged and re-tagged, and cut up and re-tagged, that it’s IMPOSSIBLE to determine who posted it first. Everybody got that picture from somebody else, even if they don’t say so. And up to this point, Rain’s only rule seems to be that his picture, name, and merchandise not be sold for profit by any of us. He’s been unbelievably generous in letting us freely share what we have.
Some YouTubers mention in their video comments that all pics or footage remain the property of their respective owners. Some give credit to Rain or RAINY Ent. or J.Tune Camp or whatever. Some don’t say anything.
You’re not stealing. You’re okay. Carry on! 🙂

Gee (and others who might be concerned),
It’s not that this person posted up a Cloud USA video (or any other fanmade video, for that matter) on his/her YouTube channel to share with everyone. That is not the issue at all. We love sharing Rain and we WANT people to spread Cloud USA news across the English-speaking universe to build up Rain’s fanbase into a mighty force to be reckoned with.
The problem was that this person removed all of the video’s identifiers and claimed it as their own, as if they had created the entire video themselves. That really pissed us off. That’s what we took exception to. And Cloud USA isn’t the only one this person has done it to either. So, this person, whoever he/she is, is a real thief, plain and simple.
Like Stephe said, J Tune Entertainment & J Tune Camp, JYPE, Rainy Entertainment, CJ Entertainment and other entities involving Rain’s career have been exceptionally generous in allowing all of us to use Rain’s image to promote him widely. However, if we were to take any of those images and claim it as our own by, for example, selling items with Rain’s images on them, then that would be a problem (unless we got permission to do that, of course…).
We also have had some problems with people stealing our articles and posting them without proper credits, but we usually just handle those incidents on our own, quietly. This incident just got to us this time, mainly because JJ works so very hard for us. It just wasn’t right to see her work abused like that, and it really worked us up into a tizzy.

SMH @ the nerve of some people. It took me hours to make the one video I’ve ever made, and I didn’t even use his MVs, just pics. I can just imagine the amount of labor put into making a longer fan vid. I’d be mad as hell too. I bet she did close her comments down coz she knew she’d get told off.

That’s a bad no no to steal other people’s work. Making videos or anything is hard work, takes a lot of time. I’d be super p***** if someone stole mine. Don’t be lazy if you love Rain you will pour your heart into making things all about him. When I created his video BI RAIN-MAKES ME SMILE, it took me hours to find all the videos that would be perfect and 2 days just to get it like I wanted. Thats why I don’t have many videos. If it doesn’t reflect the perfect man of Rain I don’t bother. Probally some kid who hasn’t learned what manners are yet. I’m sorry this happened to you JJ you do such wonderful work and you should get the credit for it. Not a sneak who wants the credit but doesn’t do the work.

The saddest thing is if she had wanted to post the video, we wouldn’t have minded in the least–if she had credited JJ and Cloud USA properly.
You all know us. We’re all about spreading the word about Rain to everyone everywhere. So, it’s not like we would have minded her using the video at all. In fact, all of you are welcome to post any of our videos and any other material from Cloud USA far and wide–as long as you give us the proper credit for them.
I just don’t get why she would go to such lengths to steal this video when she could have “borrowed” it anyway.

oh, Stephe.. you found out this.. yesterday I was informed it by Kongsao’s message on my YT channel that someone re-uploaded one of our CloudUSA mvs of Rain, like you mentioned, Sao noticed right away it just looked like mine so she wanted to make sure that i am aware of this or not.. and i know this was ours right away as well. Sao was kind of upset felt bad for me..that’s why she contacted me.. (how nice of her anyway..^^) So, I was about to contact you to discuss on this.. you just spoke for me and for CloudUSA YT Channel, and frankly, i feel so good, because you just spoke for me exactly the way I wanted to say.. thank you, Stephe..I am so grateful that you are there always for me. and thank you Kongsao.. you folks are truly great! ^^+ <3<3 JJ
