Television host and radio personality Grace Lee (born Lee Kyung Hee / 이경희), a Korean expatriate who’s spent the last eighteen years in the Philippines, has landed on the cover of the May-June 2012 issue of LOOK Magazine Philippines.
In her interview with LOOK for their feature article, she talks at length about events in her interesting and jam-packed life before and after her romance this year with President Benigno Aquino III. In the PD Inquirer Lifestyle article excerpt below, she shares about being a translator while in college and interviewing a newly debuted Rain in that capacity, when he came to the Philippines for a photo shoot. Not only that, she also interviewed him the last time he was in Manila (for Fugitive: Plan B filming and the Intensity concert, I believe? Somebody help me out!), lucky lady.

Korean by birth but a Filipina at heart, Grace Lee enjoys shopping, beauty products and the attention of one pop superstar

While Grace was in high school and college, she worked as translator for visiting Korean dignitaries, including pop superstar Rain, who flew in for a shoot in the country.
“He wasn’t as huge then as he is now,” she recounted. “We were together for three days. Nobody knew him, and he was able to walk around Manila in peace. With my mom as chaperone, I took Rain to Malate. I showed him the bars and restaurants there. He’s a nice guy.”
When Rain returned to Manila recently, Grace was assigned to interview him again. “My mom went with me. At the press conference, my mom waved at him from afar and Rain stood up to greet her. He remembered me. He kept looking at me. In my mind, I thought it was because I was pretty,” she joked.

Yeah, she has made it quite clear that she is staying in the Philippines because she loves it there and has put down a lot of roots, even though she is Korean. I think she’ll continue to do well and I wish her all the best. 🙂
And I still don’t understand where this “Ms. Right for Rain” stuff got started. She never said she was Ms. Right for Rain. WHERE did she say she was involved with Rain??? She MET him and that was ALL. LMAO!
Please don’t tell me that I can’t put up an article where a woman barely mentions Rain without folks getting the wrong idea and/or freaking out. Please don’t tell me that. ROFL!

For what what i know for Grace Lee who is leaving & his whole family in Philippines & she have a good job in there.She is journalism & they choice to stayed in Phils.maybe they a good fined a good opportunity in business their parents in there.Anf for what i know Rain & her family was closed to Rain,& Grace Lee mother when Rain was really started to his career & while they are still in Korea before,her mother whose first discovered RAIN…but the time come Grace Lee family was flew to Phils.& stayed for goods,and Rain & Grace Lee mother they seperated far apart..Well,even though they are far from each other still the communication i think still on going.I think Rain will not involved to Grace Lee to intered in her love life,bcoz Grace Lee for what i know is in loved to someone already or commited to one guys who serves now in our goverment…Rain i think she is not the Ms RIGHT for him…..

ahahahah that sound curious enough but as reality i think Rain look at PRETTY i agreed she is pretty but of curse Rain always respect all women treat him nice and welcome and please him but i don’t Rain will will love her and pic his wife either no bias just what
i known beside i think he would want somebody more aware of his old experience and smart and who can understand him to be pick right wife i glad she get to meet Rain and took place and interview that was TRULY LUCKY of her i inspire but for girl he want i don’t he would pick her either but… again it up to Rain when think come right for him it his own choose Rain please choose wisely ok!!!!!

She’s georgeous!! I like the fact that she was with her mother cuz it tells a lot about her. It seems to me that she’s a good woman cuz someone who goes around with her mother shows respect, a nice personality and lots of patience. Lol!! Rain deserves a good woman who loves him dearly but I don’t think is this one. I think he will choose a beautiful korean woman to be his wife. 😀
