A special Blast from the past: You could already see the Ninja assassin he would become.

It honestly gets no more special that this, folks. It just doesn’t. Please enjoy this look back to 2002 and what would have been Rain’s first movie and leading role, Fighter of Wind, as showcased in entertainment news and at the movie’s preview press conference.
As we understand it, Rain had no choice but to pull out of the role (based on Japanese manga Karate Baka Ichidai and on real life martial arts master Mas Oyama) in June 2003 because of continued scheduling conflicts with the recording of his second album, Rain2: How To Avoid The Sun (released October 2003). The movie’s budget was nearly as high as R2B: Return To Base, so you could say it was considered a blockbuster at the time. The lead was recast with Yang DongGeun and the movie released as Fighter In The Wind in 2004. I’ve heard nothing but great reviews of DongGeun’s performance from the martial arts community at large, so my hat is definitely off to him.

(Shades of “Kang BokGu”—A Love To Kill—years before BokGu was written. RAIN is nowhere to be found here, only the character he’s bringing to life.)

What are they doing with his hair?!!! Poor thing, he could watch HBO with all that aluminum foil!! Lol!! The style lasted for about five minutes cuz he’s back to his natural hair for those picts! Anyway, he looked fierce and ready to battle!! Soo yummie and sexy!!
