  3. He looks good to me. Of course I would love to see him in tighter clothes but maybe the ROK don’t want him like that while working or he just want to be confortable in front of a mostly men audience. Anyway, he looks hot and manly. Roar!! The beanie…meh…lol!!

    • LOL, Mari.

OMG. Talk about beanie gone bad. LOL.

I had no problem with the pants, the boots, any of that. The only thing that bugged me was that darned baby beanie. Seriously, whose idea was it to dress that huge man head of his in such a small beanie? Honestly, I’ve always thought his ears were cute as hell, but you put a big guy with normal big guy ears in a teensy weensy beanie and guess what? There’s no way his ears are NOT going to look like Mickey Mouse ears.

Ji-Hoon’s ears are certainly no exception to this rule. And the way he was checking to make sure his ears stayed covered during this performance leads me to believe that he saw the videos of his last performance, where he left his ears sticking out and wasn’t too thrilled about it. No, Ji-Hoon, that look didn’t work for us either. LOL.

The main problem was that these beanies are just too darned small for him. Beanies should cover at least half of the ear, to be not only fashionable but also comfortable. And when you are a big man, with a not so small head, wearing a tiny beanie just makes your head look even bigger. And with as many beanies as he has worn over the years, you’d think Ji-Hoon would know that. So, WTH? LOL.

The cut of the beanie was also off, which was also distracting. Beanies are supposed to be round and give your head a nice, smooth shape–not make it look even MORE like a chestnut. I don’t know whether he had it on crooked or what, but the top seam was off. Drove me nuts. I finally had to stop looking at it and look at other body parts–which was, of course, a terrible sacrifice, right? 😛

Seriously, Ji-Hoon. You need to stop trying to hide your almost bald but cute chestnut head and just do the best you can with what little you’ve got and LET IT GO. Try some hair wax instead, fella. I’m thinking even military scene hair would be better than the beanie alternative at this point.

Please understand that I’m not making fun of Rain. I’m really not. I WUV him. He is a consummate performer, and I always enjoy watching him perform, even with his fashion fails miserably, which, when you think about it, isn’t that often, actually. At least he’s making an attempt to stay fashion forward, which I think is awesome enough on its own. After all, you can’t be a fashion leader and not take some fashion fail hits every now and then, can you? And to continue to try to be fashionable in the military where, obviously, his choices are probably extremely restrictive? All I can say is kudos to him for even trying.

I also think we are extremely blessed that the ROK military is letting him do his thing so much and that we get to see so much of him even now while he is completing his military service. Rain and his mates in the entertainment division are certainly setting some awesome new precedents for entertainers in the military service, aren’t they?

      Go, Rain!

      Terri :-}

P.S. Wasn’t that his ‘unzipping his jacket fail’ moment awesome, though? He tried and tried and tried again to unzip the thing, and then finally thought, ‘Well, to hell with it,’ and zipped it back up. LOL. So funny.

      • Terri, I agree. JiHoon’s fashion fails are very few and very far between, but none…..I mean “not none”…..not even this current one you’re not feeling can compare to what I consider his only true fashion disaster (IMO), since I’ve been a Cloud these last two years. None can compare to that black sweater with the “satellite dish” size white polka dots he wore. Even YOU told him…..please…..baby…….pleeease DO NOT wear that shirt EVAH again! Kekekekekekekeke!!! (*making myself laugh out loud right now*) Hahahahahahaha!!! Sorry Bi baby, but I Hated that shirt and I love fashion…..but O-M-G! At first I was like, is he Really wearing that shirt…..like…..in public. Kekekekekeke!

Don’t get mad Honey Love, I have some pictures of my own fashion “what the hell was she thinking” outfits over the years that I can crack up just as hard over. Hahahaha!!

      • sorry for the intromission hehe 😉 but I was seeing the photos and reading the comments and I can avoid but say “oh heck yeah!” to your whole comment, because I was thinking the same. I was ok with the boots, even with those pants *that I didn’t like too much but it wasn’t so bad* but the beanie o.o! God knows that I love this man, but that beanie doesn’t look good in his head at all. Maybe is the reason you say, is to small for him, because I had seen him using other beanies, and he really looked so good wearing them, but this in particular is the the exception.

And the zipped haha! I was so excited seeing his performance, and I couldn’t stop laugh when he started to try and try over and over again and the zipped didn’t want to open correctly, *yeah JiHoon-ah you tried to dissimulate it, but we all noticed it xD* he’s so amazing in every performance! Love everyone of them, I don’t how he make it, but even if he sing the same song, he manages to make it look different, maybe is his amazing charisma!

Thanks for sharing the photos 🙂

  5. I know he is not gonna dress the same for a mostly male concert. But… *sigh* I guess I have been spoiled by him. I love to see him dressed really nice. I mean even in the casual pics/vids taken when he is among his friends the pants are not as loose as they are on that stage.

  6. I love the way JiHoon looks, very masculine…he’s not going to dress for a bunch of men the way he would for women. Hahaha
But you can still see that sex appeal coming thru. 😉

I can’t blame him for not wanting to be as tight as usual in front of all those menfolk, though. Not a good idea. IYKWIM!

      • Yeah, unless you’re a guy who “bats” for the same team as Rain, I don’t think you would appreciate his “business” all up in your business. From what I’ve…ahem…been told guys like to let’em “breathe” once in a while. (SMILES) Love the Louis Vuitton beanie though. The jeans aren’t so bad, just loose the boots and the ankle roll up. I know the small ankle roll up is popular right now. I guess it just depends on the look you’re going for. Just so long as he Never EVAH lets his pants sag below his butt cheeks, then I’m cool.

        • Gurrrrl I’m so with ya there, I’ve never liked sagging! Unless your advertising? Ya know…

        • BiA,

LOL. Funny you should mention the sagging pants.

I just told a boy band member who was visiting me last night to pull his damned pants up. He laughed, and told me I was stifling his fashion sense, but I told him that obviously his fashion needed a little more stifling and a LOT more sense. And yes, he was respectful and pulled them up–all evening. LOL.

I think you all are right. I do think Rain has changed his wardrobe game to fit his audience. Doesn’t bother me though. I think it’s very smart.

All I know is every guy Stephe and I know who knows about Rain is either totally awed by his body and compelled to work out a LOT more or wants to simply BE him. Unless they are gay, which is, of course, another story altogether–and one I shall not be sharing here on Cloud USA. (Nor do I think I need to–as I think you will all get the picture. LOL.)
