Rain does voluntary service helping the handicapped (people with Autism).

Word star Rain who is serving in the military took time to make ‘Love’ bread with the handicapped to give them unforgettable memories.

Special visitors showed up at Les Graines, a social enterprise, in which people with autism make bread.

6 PR soldiers including singer Rain came there before a week for the disabled.

They learned about how to treat people with autism and how to make bread before they began to work.

‘Nam Gi Cheol’ (The owner of Les Graines), “If you make bread well, I’ll give you this as a present, but you’ll get a talking-to by our staffs with autism if you’re handless at a task. The staffs have made all the process a breeze.”

[Rain]:  I think it’s finally time for us to set aside our prejudice and learn to accept the disabled as common people like ourselves.

Probably it will be even cooler if we can live in a world where both able-bodied and disabled people are treated equally.

Those PR soldiers also went hiking with the handicapped. (Chengkye Mountain)

Disabled person A : I can see flowers over there. They should be in full bloom.

A soldier : What kind of flower do you like best?

Disabled person A : Forsythias, Azaleas, etc..

For 15 years, Grain Angel, an organization of volunteers, has been providing an antidote to isolation while climbing mountains, holding the hands of the handicapped. On the day in particular, 4 PR soldiers took the lead by taking part in volunteer work.

“So I Love You, And I Love You Though”, a special feature on the volunteer activities will be aired on KTV tomorrow evening at 7 with “Park Wan Gyu”, “Park Hyo Shin”, and “KCM” attending.

  2. How come JiHoon always ends up in the kitchen? Kekekeke Aww but is awesome that he can get to do this activity and give back some good memories to these amazing kids! Great activity for these soldiers too! Is so wonderful to see soldiers giving, sharing time with kids, taking them by the hand and showing them a beautiful place. I feel all warm inside and I’m sure Baby enjoyed it as well. 😀

  4. As a person with Asperger’s Syndrome (and with a relative and several friends on the Autism scale), I was very appreciative of this. I was so moved that I didn’t feel the need to say a word. The images and the video speak for themselves.

    Wonderful comments, everyone! Thumbs up.

  5. My son has Asperger’s which is on the Austism Spectrum. Seeing this really touched me and I love your words concerning autistic children. These kids have great challenges and having someone like Rain in their corner is so refreshing. This just makes me a greater fan!

    • Jeanette,

      Thank you for your comment. We also appreciate your sharing about your son.

      My son, Rob (the musician) has ADHD. His disorder makes him highly creative in the music department (awesome), but it also makes him extremely hyperactive and impulsive (sucky).

      His music is just about the only thing my son can attend to well. For a long, long time, I was neither understanding nor supportive of that. I just didn’t get how much music meant to him.

      I do NOW, but even so, sometimes it’s really hard for me to find creative ways to be a supportive to him without either making myself bonkers or killing his ass. LOL.

      But I’m getting better at it every day. :-}

  8. What an absolutely lovely activity. :-}

    My manager’s son has autism, and it is always a rewarding experience whenever I get the chance to spend time with him. It can be a challenge to do so, because there is a particular way you have to “be” with him to get him to respond to you, but it is totally awesome when he does.

    Autistic kids see the world completely differently, and they really do have amazing insight to share–if you will just stop long enough to pay attention.

    He is an incredible kid.
