[learning Korean] Rain check.

{*Edited to Add: Thanks to native speaker stacy09 for this info on the Chinese characters that TaeHee is displaying:

The chinese character (福) is pronounced as “bok (복)” which means fortune/luck as in the “새해 복 많이 받으세요.” 새(sae: new) 해(hae: year) 복(bok: fortune/luck) 많이(mani: many/much) 받으세요(badeuseyo: receive). “Best wishes(good luck) for a new year!” “Happy new year!” to all of you, clouds!! }

Looks like Coupang is throwing a fresh new customer event in celebration of the new year. I’ve no idea what the box TaeHee is holding says because those look like Chinese characters, but the wider poster does say “Happy New Year” along the top of it (sae hae bok manh-i badeuseyo).  ^@@^ (Source: Coupang / caps: ratoka)

    • Thank you for the translation and transliterations! One more pronunciation tip: the ㄱ (k) in 복 (bok) is pronounced “ng” because the sound changes when it comes before ㅁ (m). So the whole thing is pronounced “sae hae bong mani padeuseyo”. (long o in bong, ae is like in between short e and ay, i is pronounced ee)
      Happy New year everyone! Health, good fortune and happiness to you!
