[MBLAQ check] Awesome KPop moment of the day: The 2011 So-Loved Awards in Germany.

{*Edited to Add: There is fine print on the ABOUT page that says that only votes from Europe will be used for the final tally, and I can certainly understand that. I mean these ARE European awards, right? Still, I hope that they also take note of all the votes they get that aren’t European-based, for research purposes! Okay, A+s across Europe… it’s up to YOU to get this done. Aja! 😀 }
When I first heard about the 2011 So-Loved Awards, the first thing that caught my attention was one of its partner/sponsors… K-Colors of Korea Magazin. (As you recall, K Magazine did a GREAT job with their report on Rain and Jan Vogler’s Classics Meets Pop joint concert at the Dresden Music Festival, back in May of this year. Remember these images and this rehearsal and concert clip from the June edition of their Magazin?) Because of that, my ears immediately perked up.
Then I saw that KBS World Germany and Germany in Korea were involved, and some other cool names, and I just had to look further into these awards.
(And by the way… so-loved.net were the ones who created that s-w-e-e-t Rain Is Coming T-shirt in anticipation of the Classic Meets Pop joint concert.)
Voting in the 17 categories of this year’s So-Loved Awards is from November 1 through November 20. It is for all KPop fans across Europe, and voters are allowed one vote per category. And guess what? MBLAQ has been nominated for FOUR awards:
EP (Mini-album, for Mona Lisa)
Band — Male
Song — “Mona Lisa”
Japanese Release — “Your Luv”
All I had to do was make my choices, click, and vote (abstimmen) once. I supported MBLAQ, f (x), and defintely Tablo! The site took my votes, but I’m not sure what it will do with them, seeing as I’m not in Europe…
Best of luck, Boys! We’re rooting for you! » And by the way, this just in… MBLAQ has topped the music charts over in Japan with “Baby U!”
» Dear KPop fans and A+s, you can see some of MBLAQ’s music videos subbed in German as well as other KPop goodies over on soloved.net @YouTube.

Aaaah did you happen to see this SMALL PRINT on the voting pages??
“Due to the high interest the so-loved Awards are generating, we are now opening the voting for fans from all over Europe. However, votes from non-European countries will not be included in the final results!”
Bummer but at least we can let them know that we love us some MBLAQ.

Yeah, I saw that after my doggone post… BUMMER! But certainly understandable. And yeah, at least they’ll also have another set of numbers from outside of Europe!
