JiHoon is racking up phone privileges like a Man on a mission. He has managed to eat the lousy food, so they will too. One recruit who is only two beds down from him feels like such a man! keke LOL Such fun stories from the guys in his unit. Keep ’em coming, boys! 🙂

Rain’s comtemporaries speak highly of his hard work
Rain’s contemporaries from his military training camp are sharing behind-the-scene stories while staying with him, which attracts the attention.
Those stories are in their letters sent to their own acquaintances. In the letters posted on major portal sites, they have had nothing but praise for Rain.
One recruit was so amazed, “Unlike other former stars who often had to make their way to the dispensary during the training course, Rain has easily finished off the course they couldn’t carry out. So I was stunned into silence.”
Other recruits spoke highly of Rain’s hard work, “Rain looks like a good hyung (brother) in my neighborhood and he is so cool.” “There is a reward and punishment system where If we get the full 15 points, we can talk on the phone for about 3~5 minutes. Only he has achieved the work at our barrack.”
In addition to these, many interesting stories are contained, “The military food is just lousy, but the world star managed to eat it, and so will I.” “He and I are staying at the same barrack, and he is just two beds down from me. I’m such a man.”
Before this, Rain let his fans know how he maintain good contemporary relations by posting a letter in his own handwriting on the unit Key cafe (blog), “There’s an age difference of 7-11 years between them and me, so I’ve almost become their counselor.”
Netizens responded to this, “As Rain always does a great job, I knew he would put across his task.” “I burst out laughing reading a recruit’s story – the world star managed to eat it, and so will I.” “I think the recruit training center has a nice, homey atmosphere.”
Meanwhile, Rain was enlisted at 306 Supplements (boot camp), Uijeongbu, Gyeonggido last October 11th, and he has been deployed at a recruit training center belonging to the 5th Division via through its own random drawing.
This means he’ll start his military life at his final military location after a random drawing at a company, the Division’s subordinate position, after a 8 week training course at a recruit training center belonging to the 5th Division from the 17th.

Wow I love reading these accounts from other trainees about Rain. I knew he could do it. I am so proud of him. Rain is definitely going to have a lot more male Clouds then he has had, which is great. The more Clouds the better.

JiHoon guides by example so these young men feel compelled to follow him! I can imagine their faces looking at the food like it will eat them back but then comes Jihoony, world star extraordinare and eats the darn thing soo they look at each other and said; “Lets eat before it gets any colder!” LMAO!!! Oh, I would loove to be there and see their faces!! On the other hand, we know how much baby boy loves food so this must be really tough for him. It tells you a lot about JiHoon’s resilience and strong mind. Gawd I feel soo proud of him!!

But it’s not like he has any choice, right? I mean he knows that if he doesn’t eat “now”, then he will be hungry “later.” It’s not like he can just order takeout later or there will be anything else coming his way. So, its just good, common sense. Not heroics.
Rain has been poverty-stricken and starving before. So, he knows the real deal. I’m sure having had that experience is a powerful motivator. But what a great example he is being for his young recruit-mates, some of whom probably think this experience is the worst time of their lives. Rain is surely teaching them valuable lessons. Like Rain said, this is his destiny. Stephe said it too. There is a reason he is in that place right now. I believe that too. He’s there because someone there needs him terribly.
Which reminds me…ladies, what do you think about starting a letter campaign for Rain’s recruit-mates also? I’ll bet there are boys in his camp who never get any letters from anyone, because they have nobody. That thought makes me sad. It would be really nice, I think, if, when we wrote a letter to Rain, we could also include a letter for another recruit also.
I will have to find out if there is a way we can do that. I will let you know…

Letter writing campaign. I gotta tell ya. It’s been 19 years since I’ve written this many letters. Well….(*cracks knuckles, writer’s cramp be damned*) I’ll see what I can do. (SMILES)

Not necessarily. I would imagine that some of the recruits are English students. Letters may help in their studying. And they should be able to get some translation themselves if they need it…

Wow nobody but jihoon. I feel like he is THINKING “let’s just get this over with. let me kick some tail, overachieve, show them how amazing I am, make the best of this situation and come back as the biggest star ever” ahh we boi its already done!
