Rain, King of K-Pop.
When the South Korean singer-actor known as Rain had his head shaved and reported for his mandatory two years of military service in October 2011, millions of Asian hearts were broken. After all, Rain is the reigning king of Korean pop — or K-Pop — and his crooning can be heard around the world. But his fans needn’t hold their breaths for 731 days. After all, there are always plenty of photos to keep the passion alive. Think of them as the silver lining in Rain’s dark cloud.

I will go and comment on the other sites, but I’m going to put this out there. From my PERSONAL self, I am NOT a techie. I don’t Tweet, don’t want to Tweet, not gonna Tweet. I Do Not feel comfortable with it. If I don’t know how to really work my way around something, I leave it alone. That’s just me. I barely have a FB page, still trying to learn that as well. I don’t mind commenting, but I want to “thank” you Clouds for now adding to the already ten thousand User IDs and PWs I now have to remember because of Bi. (SMILES)
I got a damned note pad now for all that, between work and home and Bi. I’m typing Bi PWs in my work computer. So Thanks….Thanks A LOT! (SMILES)

I am sorry to say that my comment was the only one in Life. I was thinking that we should take advantage of this media frenzy with Rain’s enlistment and make some noise writing about his new movie. If we want his movie in this side of the ocean we must create interest in it! So go, go now and Rayzod’em!! ^.^

I agree 100% with that, Mari.
I too have noticed a lot of that kind of thing when it comes to Rain fans, and I’m sorry to say it, but I’m just keeping it real. There is a lot of “we love Rain, we want Rain” but getting people to comment under his articles out in the places where it really counts, in numbers where the Media will take note, is like pulling teeth or something. I just went over on MTV Style, and there are 6 COMMENTS TOTAL on their latest Rain post, and it’s only been facebooked and tweeted five or six times. I think my article that made HanCinema only got like seven or eight comments (HanCinema doesn’t post things from FAN SITES, so that was like WOW), and yeah, here we go with the LIFE slide show. Only your comment.
I mean, I know people have lives to live, but Jesus, so do I. Supporting our Man by taking a few minutes to give his stuff some serious buzz should be a breeze.

thank for the slide show i know it TEAR as GLOBAL Wilde that know rain sent to army served 2 yrs but hey he still have his fan and they will be LOYALTY to him they won’t let our man down after 2 year discharge rain will have to bring everything again gotta give our rain some break for bit i know i already miss him but again all USA media are report this too yes where have they been ???????

Yeah, great article but again TOO LATE!! I would have loved this kind of attention when Rain was in New York recognized as one of the 100 most influential people in the world. Also, what’s the thing with Elvis? Or worst, saying Rain is the asian Justin Beaber? Ugh seriously? I felt sick reading some of those articles cuz Elvis is death, he went to the army like 50 something years ago, in another era and Justin, well, he’s Justin, a young boy who’s starting his career. It doesn’t make any sense to me. But it
says a lot about how out of place is the US
media were Rain is concern. Sighh

yeah i agree with you on that, why in the world we they say Rain is like Justin and Elvis, that seems like a slap in face to me, when reading this i was like nope i wont comment because it hurt my heart and the words i wanted to use was not so good. They can not compare Rain to Justin because Rain has worked so hard for 10 plus years non stop, Justin would have to work twice has harder then Ji Hoon did..ugh!!

I’d like to steal some… no wait … all of those pics! It really shows how versatile he is and how beautiful he is, and makes me miss him all that much more. So they shaved his hair, is it shorter than when he went in?
