[article] Rain wins suit over unpaid drama fee.

I still remember how utterly amazed we were when we first heard that JiHoon had been forced to sue for his work on The Fugitive: Plan B (20 episodes and 1 special at 70 minutes a pop, filmed in exhausting location shoots all over Asia… how do you think you can get away with not paying somebody for a load of work like that? *still confused*)

How terribly unfortunate for both sides that it had to go this way, but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do when your back is up against a wall.

Rain wins suit over unpaid drama fee

SEOUL, Aug. 8 (Yonhap) — A Seoul court has ordered a TV drama production company to give unpaid appearance fees to Korean singer and actor Rain, court officials said on Monday.

The Seoul Central District Court ruled in favor of JYP Entertainment, Rain’s management agency, in a lawsuit against the local drama production firm identified only by the initial “D,” the officials said.

The production company was ordered to pay 360 million won (US$336,542) that it owed Rain for his work with “Fugitive: Plan B”, which aired on a KBS channel last year, according to the court.

The agency filed the suit in April, alleging that the star had yet to receive part of his appearance fee as well as promised returns from the drama’s success.

  1. It still boggles my mind that they thought he was gonna let that slide…Go JiHoon let them know not to take your kindness for weakness.

  4. I am happy for Rain cuz we all know how hard he worked for Fugitive. Is unfortunate that it ended this way; it has an effect on the whole production and Rain’s career as well but he needed to do it, there was no other way. So sad that their excellent job was shadowed with legal stuff.
