[program][English subs] Revisiting April 2010: Rain on Seung Seung Jang Goo (Win Win).

Cloud cover by: Stephe, Managing Editor ^@@^

Last year, during Rain’s Back To The Basic comeback stages, his appearance on variety talk show Win Win was one of those events that we all anxiously waited for. Many programs had been recorded but delayed out of respect for the victims of the horrible Cheonan navel tragedy, and so during April and May it was difficult to tell when—or if—anything would air at all. (Even the B2TB mini-album’s release and comebacks were held off for a good week.)

When Win Win did air on KBS 2, it turned out to be well worth the wait and an absolute study in hilarity, with Rain’s hyungs and previous co-stars making appearances (much to his surprise!) and with him seeming to reveal personal things he hadn’t meant to. (I say “seeming” because come on, Rain never says or does anything in public or on the air that he hadn’t intended to. He’s waaaay too smart for that. He is candid and spontaneous, yes, but nothing about his personal life that is off-limits to the public ever passes his lips, and the same goes for MBLAQ. That’s how TV works behind the scenes and makes for great ratings.) The show even included the wrestling matches he and the Men had with bona fide wrestlers in the streets of Seoul! Oh, it was great. (And here is a preview on the news.)

The Man was ridiculously handsome and as adorable as all get-out. Ang! LOL! We put written translations up as soon as we could, and then a terrific team of Clouds subbed it in English, though those videos have since been taken down by YouTube. Yes, the Rainiverse definitely had Win Win Fever, and we enjoyed every moment of it…

…so imagine my complete delight when, yesterday, the wonderful Pikeyenny made this episode available again on her blog. English-subbed. I love her! 😀

Get to it, fans! Enjoy revisiting Win Win episode 10, featuring Rain. Let us walk down Memory Lane and reminisce. Those of you who are really new and haven’t seen it before, do chime in too. Have fun, everyone!

  1. Wow, I am searching for this quite for a while, and finally I got the idea to look here 🙂 you are the best, really! Can’t wait for the evening to go through it all. The only thing that haunts me now is the question whether my addiction will also last till the end of my life 🙂 but thank you so much for what you do – for Rain and all of us!

  3. Glad to see this again as well. You know in video #2 he all but confirmed what I have speculated all along, that his girl is probably someone that “appears to be” a staffer. He gets to talking about his “Look Out Mountain” experiences and then says when he’s in a restaurant I’ll pretend I’m ordering a meal with a colleague. (SMILES) He also said when he was the young man’s age on the show, that he would smile (with a Chesire grin) and say “I’m not dating” just like he probably does. Sly Devil! Honey, the giggles say it All. Hey, I’m not mad……handle your business Bi! (SMILES)

  6. Oh, Stephe!

    I’m SO delighted that you were able to find this again and post it.

    This is one of my most favorite interviews with Rain–touching and funny all at the same time. Rain’s hyungs made me LOL and his mock terror that they were going to say something terrible about him was so cute.

    Aw. This show was so thoroughly enjoyable and totally worth watching one more time.

    Ah ha ha, that cow! I always wondered how astonished he was that he actually won all of his wrestling matches. He looked a little taken aback every single time his opponent ended up on the losing side. So cute. :-}

    But that cow! Snicker. The fact that someone actually brought a cow into the city, to the match, made me laugh every time I saw it. Maybe because I know how hard those things are to control and get to go anywhere.

    So funny. LOL.

    Terri :-}

      • Hi there, chiksek. 🙂 I’m sorry, we don’t know the name of that song. We’ve tried to look it up, but because we don’t speak Korean, it’s hard for us to find.

        Apologies…
