And by the doggone way: Someone needs to tell Arirang that just because you’re including Rain in something for an English-speaking audience DOESN’T MEAN you have to make mentioning Megan Fox a habit. Stop making yourself look silly and us look at you stupidly. (This isn’t a slight to Megan at all—I’ve nothing against her. This is not about some relationship between her and Rain that frankly does not exist. This is about media having nothing else to talk about and pulling something old and dusty out of their butt the closet and thinking they sound clever. In the words of Rain’s own song, No No No, you don’t. You sound desperate to say something “cute.” That’s all. /end rant ^@@^)

Yes, indeed it was marketing then and it is marketing now. It didn’t bother me when Rain mentioned Megan because he was talking about WORK, and last I checked, single actors and married actors are allowed to work together (heaven knows not a single movie or TV show would ever get done if they weren’t).
It’s the media that keeps feeding some kind of romantic fodder into the whole thing, which fans immediately buy into for some reason, every time. It’s the media that continues to drag this out for a buzz, and I wish they would just shut the hell up about it.

i just have to add this little tid-bit. last year it was reported on one of our entertainment news channels that Megan got married to her boyfriend of 8 years (the one who she was having an on again off again relationship, supposedly). what is is name? i forget. but yeah it’s been reported that she is now a married woman. Korean news needs to check this fact and stop using her as well as being what i think is disrespectful to her husband…really not good. and Rain doesn’t seem to know about this either, but i hope someone will tell him. i agree with ceci though, i don’t think she is that good of an actress (my personal opinion as well).

His name is Brian Austin Green of “90210” fame, the original series back in the 90s. He has a son by actress Vanessa Marcil (Brenda) of General Hospital fame. I might “echo” the same sentiments expressed thus far. I don’t see Megan winning an Oscar anytime soon. (IMHO) No disrespect.

Neither Rain nor Megan were doing anything but using each others’ names to promote themselves. Stars in Hollywood do it all the time and no one thinks anything of it.
“Who? Megan Fox? Sure, she’s hot. I’d date her,” and “Rain? Yeah, I’ve heard of him. He’s got great abs. He’s hot. Sure, I’d date him.”
But of course, when Rain does it, all of Asia perks up and says, “Wah…Rain loves Megan Fox.” Oh well.
Interestingly, we can blame the Korean Media all we want, but it was Rain himself who perpetuated this issue in a recent interview when he actually called Megan his “ideal woman.” I don’t think he meant he wanted to “date” her or anything. He just meant that he thinks she’s hot and he likes that look in a woman. Actually, he’s always said he liked sexy women, so I’m not quite understanding why everybody is so surprised that he thinks Megan Fox hot. She IS hot–in a sultry, sexy sort of way–which is how Rain does keeps saying he likes his women. He wants them sexy on the outside, but pure on the inside. Hm. Come to think of it isn’t that every man’s ideal woman? A lady on the street and a freak in…well you get my drift. LOL.
Another hottie he appears to be enamored with is Scarlett Johanssen (who recently split with her hubby, by the way–oh RAIN…did you HEAR that?). Maybe he’ll mention Scarlett instead in his next interview and the heat will be off of poor Megan for awhile.
Boy, am I rambling. My point was (I think…) that it’s marketing, people. That’s all it is. So, let’s all stop taking this so seriously. Okay?

Well I would have they are pulling something out of their as__es, but your way is much nicer. Anyway, yeah ole girl is not The Only actress in the States. Heck, he probably only “threw” her name out there the first time ’cause she was in a huge movie and most people (at the time of his original interview) would probably know of her. In other words, it was “interview speak” on his part. (IMO)

I agree the whole Megan Fox thing is really old. I personally don’t like Megan Fox, not a fan and I don’t think she’s that great of an actress. I think Rain can do way better than her…just my opinion, no offense to any Megan fans out there.
However I am glad to see Rain in this countdown. Who else better for young artists to look up to, he’s a great role model.
